14 Days of Valentines Day 13

Hey Everyone! OMG WHEN AM I NOT BEHIND!?! Even though this year we didn't celebrate Valentine's Day we did plan on watching a movie and having some sort of sweet, otherwise frowned upon, desert. Between that plan and my mother stealing the computer I didn't get a chance to post my last two manis. THEN photobucket would not cooperate and kept freezing. Figures!
I had a different plan for this mani but I couldn't find the supplies so I altered it a tad. I have no idea where I put things and STILL can't find what I am looking for which is annoying.

I used Bettina Earth for the base color. I used three coats for this mani because it wasn't quite even with two.

I used Bundle Monster plate BM-317. I was dying to use this design since it is my favorite on the plate.

Picture taken from ArtsyFartsyCrafts ebay page for item.
I had bought some caviar beads but could never figure out how I wanted to use them when this idea popped into my head.

First I stamped the image with a Color Club pink that is unnamed because it came in a set. Then I used Cult Nails Untamed to fill in the big heart on each nail.

I used the Color Club pink under Untamed to fill in the heart that my caviar beads was going on to make them stand out more.

Then I covered the heart with the caviar beads.

Looking back I think had I let the pink dry and then used clear polish to attach the beads it might have looked slightly better. I will try that next time.

I absolutely loved this mani!!!

I think the beads worked well and I covered them with two nice coats of top coat and they were nice and secure.

This mani made me think of chocolate and candy. I am trying to think of more ways to use those caviar beads.

That's all for now :)

14 Days of Valentines Day 10

Hey Everyone!! Is it Friday yet?! I am so ready for Friday. I am also ready to wear BLUE or GREEN or something not Valentine's like. I have to admit this mani was simple and plain because I was tired and over the theme by this point. This was after my disastrous nothing wanted to work right mani attempt. I figured if I went simple maybe it would work out. Meh, it isn't bad but it isn't anything to write home about.

Once again I started with my Gelish mani Izzy Wizzy Let's Get Busy as my base. It is meant as a layering polish but I like it alot alone.

I used Sinful Colors Sugar Sugar to stamp with because it was still on the table.

I used the tiny full nail hearts pattern. I love hearts so I wanted to use all the images on this plate this year. I will have used everything but the bow on the left when Valentine's Day is over.

When stamped Sugar Sugar looks more dark pink than red. It didn't bother me but totally changed the look I had in mind.

Not too bad for a simple mani.

I have another idea for this image for another time. I don't know if it will work but it looks great in my mind.

I like the shimmer that Izzy Wizzy lends to this mani. It makes it less boring.

That's all for now :)

14 Days of Valentines Day 5

Hey Everyone!! I am about to go join the boys on the couch to watch Harry Potter. The kids are sooo cute and young in this movie. I LOVE Harry Potter and could watch the movies a million times . I can't believe how small the kids were! Today I spruced up Cult Nails Untamed with some stamping.

I used Bundle Monster plate BM-317 for the stamping pattern.

I used the circle of hearts pattern top center. The only complaint I have about this pattern is that my nails were too small for the whole pattern. I really would love that whole pattern on my nails. It is really cute.

I used Sinful Colors Ardoise from their recent Haute Rebel collection for the stamping.

I loved this combination and I love the pattern. Ardoise was dark but not as harsh as a black stamp would have been.

Here is a quick shot of my nubbins. The pattern barely fit on them at all.

I must say that as much as I love Cult Nails polishes Untamed is not my thing. I thought bubble gum pink was cute but it drove me crazy having it on my nails. Even df asked me WHY I was wearing pink lol

The first day with Untamed alone I was quite bothered by the color but with the stamping it wasn't as bad. I will say this polish is great formula and application wise so the polish is totally not at fault that I can't handle the color. I really really wanted to love it on me but I just don't. I do love it in the bottle and on others though lol

That's all for now :)

14 Days of Valentine's Day 1

Hey Everyone!!! Well I had planned on a 14 days of Love event where I would do 14 days worth of Valentine's manis from now until the 14th. Unfortunately yesterday I had some stuff that I had to take care of when I got home from work. I had also forgotten my camera when I left for work so I couldn't get any mani pictures during the daylight hours. I wasn't able to get pictures taken, a blog post up or a new mani done yesterday so I am already running behind. OF COURSE. I am going to try and get 14 manis done which means I am going to try and get mani 2 ready for posting later. Wish me luck lol.

When I was thinking of this idea the first polish I thought of using was Oopsie Daisies With a Cherry on Top.  I had gotten this one awhile back but hadn't had a chance to use it yet.

Oopsie Daisies With a Cherry on Top.

With a Cherry on Top is a Limited Edition member of the Sweet Treat collection. It is a gorgeous tinted base with tons of awesome red glitter. This baby is being discontinued so you better run and grab it before it disappears forever.

Now, I did this mani over my gel crazy holo mani that I haven't showed you yet *facepalm*. Ok, I am adding a quick pic because I want you to explain what is under With a Cherry on Top.

OK this is what is under this mani. I put a coat of Essie Marshmallow over it to hide the in your face holo glitter a bit.

I did three coats of With a Cherry on Top because I wanted to hide that gel mani. I don't know if it made any impact on the color of With a Cherry on Top but it came out a pretty pinkish red with tons of awesome red glitter.

To make it more Valentine's Day like I used Bundle Monster plate BM-317 to stamp. I used a Sinful Colors white striping polish for the stamping.

I alternated patterns to give it a cutesy look. I really like the ribbons.

My stamping smeared a little bit but here is a close up look.

With a Cherry on Top is awesome! I am not a huge red fan girl but this polish applies like a dream and makes me think of cherry juice. I love it and want to eat cherries now. I don't even like cherries much. Ohhh I think I need a Shirley Temple now!

I love this mani. SO MUCH! I want to do all my Valentine's Day Manis with this polish!

Bruce thanks you for looking!

That's all for now :)
