Nail art for the weekend!

I love weekends! Weekends allow me to spend precious time with my family and also time to catch some sleep here and there. Now that we have a little baby, weekends are not the same, and I guess many of you moms can understand me J 

But this weekend, I felt like I need some time alone with my colors – yes, not kid's crayons, but my polishes and nail art. I was in the mood for some stars and flowers, and I couldn't decide what mani to do, so I created some options on the nail wheel - Here they are…

I used Misa – Sorry just can't help it (purple), Icing Mood Swing – Passionate/Shy (turquoise) and Chic no. 25 (yellow)

China Glaze Awakening collection

I haven't managed to bring myself to write this post all week long, but now that I did – I hope you'll enjoy it.

For this year Halloween, China Glaze came put with this Awakening collection, which includes 3 glittery and surprising colors and also their famous Fast Forward Top Coat.

My amazing blogger friend Kellie from Also Known As... had agreed to buy this stunning collection for me and send it to me and here it is now – Thank you so much Kellie !!!

The formula was a bit tricky here, thick with loads of glitter, so you should know how to build the color – don't apply too thick layers but not too thin, as soon as you get the right amount of polish on your brush, the results are stunning and really fit this holiday J

The drying time is fast and in all the pictures you see 3 coats.

Zombie Zest

A jelly olive green with yellow sub color – it reminded a bit of olive oil in the first coat, but the green gets darker after 2 coats and the final result is of a golden green with tons of amazing glitter which sparkle the color.

This one has surprised me the most. I thought it's a black base with orange glitter, but when I apllied it, I founf out that it's really a grayish green base with orange-copper glitter, cool ha ?

הצבע שהכי הפתיע אותי בחבורה. תיארתי לעצמי אותו בהתחלה כשחור עם נצנצים כתומים, אבל כששמתי אותו על היד הופתעתי לגלות שבעצם מדובר כאן על בסיס ירוק אפרפר, עם נצנצים בצבע כתום-נחושת, איזה מגניב זה, הא ?

הנצנצים שלו היו הכי סמיכים וצפופים מבין השלושה אז המריחה היתה טיפה פחות קלילה.

The same thing here, I thought this is a black base, but no, this is a dark eggplant purple base with purple-pink glitter – such an amazing combination for a purple lovers like me.

גם כאן הופתעתי לגלות שהבסיס הוא לא שחור, אלא סגול חציל כהה, עם נצנצים סגולים-ורודים, שילוב מדהים בעיניי, חובבת סגולים שכמותי. נתקלתי בו בתופעה מוזרה שבזמן הייבוש הקצוות של הציפורניים הופכות למאט, אבל זה נפתר כששמתי על זה את המייבש

כל השבוע לא הצלחתי להביא את עצמי לכתוב את הפוסט הזה, אבל עכשיו כשהעליתי אותו – מקווה שתהנו J

לקראת חג ליל כל הקדושים הוציאו צ'יינה גלייז קולקצייה חדשה ומגניבה במיוחד שנקראת Awakening הכוללת 3 לקים נוצצים ומפתיעים ואת המייבש המפורסם שלהם שנקרא Fast Forward.

חברתי הבלוגרית המהממת קלי מהבלוג Also Known As שמתגוררת בארה"ב, הסכימה לקנות לי את הקולקצייה ברגע שהיא יצאה שם לחנויות ולשלוח לי והנה היא לפניכן עכשיו במלואה.

הפעם רשמתי לכן את הפירוט על כל הלקים מתחת לכל תמונה, כדי שיהיה לכן קל לזהות.

הפורמולה כאן היתה קצת טריקית, סמיכה ועם המון נצנצים, כך שצריך לדעת לבנות את הצבע – שכבות שלא יהיו עבות מדי ויבלעו את הנצנצים אבל גם לא דקות מדי שיביאו למראה לא אחיד. ברגע שמשתלטים על הכמות הנכונה במברשת, התוצאות מופלאות וגם לדעתי, ממש ממש מתאימות לחג הזה J

זמן הייבוש כאן הוא מהיר ובכל אחת מהתמונות אתן רואות 3 שכבות.

שיהיה לכולכן חג שמח ונפלא !!!

Another candy from Chocaddict :-)

I received this polish in the lovely package from Chocaddict and this time also, I was happy for the chance to try a new brand - Parisax.

And what can be wrong with a brand that have Paris in its name ?

Apparently nothing J

This color is one of my favorite colors, a purple with a bit of fuchsia, and it has a rich crème texture. 2 coats were enough for an opaque look and the drying time was totally o.k.

I couldn't find a name or a number on the bottle, but I guess it won't help most of you anyhow.

Chocaddict also sent me some lace stickers and I'm totally in love with them ! When I applied the topcoat, you could almost think that it's a painting and not a sticker ! Of course I took some picture for you J

את הלק הזה קיבלתי בחבילה המקסימה מ- Chocaddict וגם הפעם, שמחתי על ההזדמנות לנסות חברה שעוד לא הכרתי - Parisax.

ומה יכול להיות רע בלק שיש לו את המילה פריס בשם שלו ?

מסתבר שכלום J

הצבע שלו הוא מהצבעים האהובים עליי, סגול עם נטייה קלה לפוקסיה, והוא במרקם קרמי עשיר. שתי שכבות הספיקו כאן כדי להגיע לאטימות מוחלטת וזמן הייבוש היה סביר לגמרי.

לא הצלחתי להבין מהבקבוק אם יש לו שם או מספר, ואני מניחה שלרובכן זה גם ככה לא ממש יגיד כלום, אבל אני כן יכולה להגיד לכן שראיתי צבע ממש דומה לזה של שיק, אבל אני לא זוכרת את המספר – לי יש את 267 (שלי ישן ואם אני לא טועה הוא נמכר עכשיו תחת מספר אחר) שהוא אחד האהובים עליי והוא דומה לו, אבל יש אחד שאפילו עוד יותר דומה.

Chocaddict גם שלחה לי מדבקות תחרה מדהימות ואני פשוט מאוהבת בהן ! כששמתי את הטופקואוט ממש אפשר היה לחשוב שזה ציור ולא מדבקה ! וכמובן שצילמתי לכן את זה J

אה, וטיפ קטן לגבי מדבקות – תמיד תקפידו שאחרי שאתן מדביקות את המדבקה ולפני הטופקואוט (זה הסדר הרצוי), תוודאו שאין כיסי אוויר בשוליים של המדבקה ואם כן, "תוציאו" את האויר כדי שהמדבקה תיראה הכי טבעית שאפשר.

Amora from Ana

Today I continue to tell you about my experiences with brands I've never tried before.

The next brand I want to tell you about is Cliché – my blogger friend Ana from Portugal sent me this one and like always, I'm thrilled to try new polishes.

This is Amora, at first I thought it means "love" like "amor", but a little search discovered that it probably means raspberry….so Ana – what does "Amora" means ?

Either way, I love raspberry and I really love this polish, so everything works out for me….hahaa

This is a stunning reddish purple with tiny glitters, one of those colors I can never resist ! The formula was great, not too thick and not too thin, exactly the way I like it. After the first coat it was pretty sheer, than opaque on the second coat and I added a third coat because I think it shows the full depth of this color.

So for conclusion I can tell you I really like this polish – interesting and rich color, great application and pretty quick drying time, I would love to try more polishes of this brand.

Cliche - Amora

היום אני ממשיכה עם חוויות מלקים של חברות שלא יצא לי לנסות עד כה.

החברה הבאה שיצא לי להתנסות בה לאחרונה היא Cliché - חברתי הבלוגרית אנה מפורטוגל שלחה לי אותו ואני, כרגיל, תמיד שמחה לנסות לקים חדשים.

הלק הזה נקרא Amora, בהתחלה חשבתי שאולי המשמעות של זה היא אהבה, כמו Amor, אבל חיפוש קטן שעשיתי מסקרנות העלה כי כנראה מדובר בפטל....אז אני כנראה אצטרך שאנה תענה לי על זה J בכל אופן, אני מתה על פטל ואני גם מאוד אוהבת את הלק הזה, אז מבחינתי, הכל מסתדר...חחח

מדובר על סגול אדמדם הורס עם נצנצים קטנטנים, מהצבעים האלה שאני אף פעם לא יכולה לעמוד בפניהם ! הפורמולה שלו היתה מצויינת, בדיוק כמו שאני אוהבת, לא סמיכה מדי ולא דלילה מדי. בשכבה הראשונה הוא היה חצי שקוף, בשכבה שניה אטום ואני הוספתי את השכבה השלישית כי לדעתי היא מביאה לעומק המלא של הצבע.

אז לסיכום החוויה אני יכולה לומר שאהבתי מאוד את הלק הזה – הצבע עשיר ומעניין, המריחה מצויינת וזמן הייבוש מהיר יחסית, אני אשמח לנסות עוד צבעים שלהם.

Rainbow of colors from Chocaddict

Today I have something special to show you !

I received Gosh Rainbow in the package from the wonderful Chocaddict and even before I saw it, I knew I'm going to love it.

This is a clear base with lots of massive duochrome flakies in colors of orange-yellow-green and one coat of it over any polish, changes it completely. Absolutely stunning !

It's popular to lay this polish over black for maximum effect, but I've decided to do a little experiment and show it to you over several dark crème polishes, so you can see it in different ways. As I wrote, all you need is one layer of this polish and everything changes. As thick as the layer would be, as bigger the amount of flakies that would cover the base color will be.

And now to the experiment:

As a base, I used 4 different colors and I took you some "before" pictures so you can see them "clean" (also these are some of my favorite crèmes so you can take a recommendation on them all on the way):

I applied a layer of Rainbow over then and here are the results ! I loved it the most over the black and the purple J

היום יש לי משהו מיוחד להראות לכן !

את הלק הזה של Gosh שנקרא Rainbow קיבלתי בחבילה מ- Chocaddict המקסימה ועוד לפני שראיתי אותו, ידעתי שאני הולכת לאהוב אותו.

הלק הזה הוא בעצם לק שקוף עם חתיכות נצנצים ענקיות (המכונות Flakies) דואוכרומיות בצבעים של כתום-צהוב-ירוק ושכבה אחת שלו מעל כל לק, משנה אותו לחלוטין, פשוט מטריף !

מקובל לשים את הלקים מהסוג הזה על לק שחור לקבלת האפקט המירבי, אבל החלטתי לעשות ניסוי הפעם ולהראות לכן אותו על כמה לקים כהים בגוונים שונים, כדי שתוכלו להתרשם. כמו שכתבתי, כל מה שצריך זו שכבה אחת מהלק והכל משתנה. ככל שתשימו שכבה עבה יותר, כך כמות הנצנצים תהיה גדולה יותר וזה יכסה שטח יותר גדול מצבע הבסיס.

ונעבור לניסוי:

בתור בסיס, השתמשתי בארבעה צבעים שונים וצילמתי לכן אותם "נקיים" כדי שתוכלו להתרשם ממראה ה"לפני" (חוץ מזה שאלו חלק מהקרמיים הפייבוריטים שלי אז קבלו המלצה על כולם על הדרך):

אצבע – Enchanted Forest של אורלי

אמה – מס' 32 של שיק.

קמיצה – Sorry Just Can't Help It של מיסה.

זרת – Can't Nobody Take Me Down גם הוא של מיסה.

מעל כולם הוספתי שכבה של Rainbow והתוצאה לפניכן !

התמונות משקפות את המראה שמתקבל אבל קחו בחשבון שכל פעם שאתן מזיזות את היד, רואים צבע אחר, כי זה משתנה בהתאם לתאורה ולזויות ובאופן אישי, אני הכי אהבתי את המראה שלו על השחור ועל הסגול J

הוא בהחלט מצטרף לרשימת הלקים הכי מיוחדים שיש לי.

אז מה דעתכן ?

A very sparkling haul - Part II !!!

So here is the rest of the package from yesterday:

Nubar Petunia Sparkle – This is a clear based polish with tons of tiny purple-pink glitter, but they are really sparkling – it's amazing ! Yes, this is one of these polishes with the unbearable removal but for me it's so special and impressive that once in a while it worth it.

The truth is that this one has surprised me, because after the first coat, I was thinking to myself that there is going to be a parade of layers here, but eventually, two decants coats did the job (if it still not opaque, you can add the third coat). Also, after drying, it looks a bit matte, I don't know exactly how to explain it, but this is a special look. The application went with no problems and the drying time here is very fast. The pictures are without topcoat but I can tell you that also after I added the topcoat, it still looks shiny and sparkly and it doesn't affect the glitter look.

Like in the last post, these pictures are also not accurate and this polish is way deeper than it seems and the glitters are much more pink and sparkly.

And here is my conclusion for this purchase:

For those of you with the sensitive stomach – beware of your life !

For you the glitter fans – you know I don't say it often, so trust me this time – these two are must haves !

Nubar - Petunia Sparkle

אז הנה המשך החבילה מאתמול:

Nubar Petunia Sparkle – כאן אנחנו מדברות על בסיס שקוף עם המון המון נצנצים סגולים-ורודים קטנטנים, אבל ממש מנצנצים – מהמם ! כן, זה מהלקים האלה עם ההסרה הבלתי נסבלת, אבל בעיניי – הוא כל כל מיוחד ומרשים שפעם ב...הוא שווה את זה.

האמת שהוא הפתיע אותי כי אחרי השכבה הראשונה חשבתי לעצמי שהולך להיות כאן מצעד שכבות בלתי נגמר אבל בסופו של דבר ראיתי ששתי שכבות הגונות עושות את העבודה (ואם עדיין לא יצא לכן אטום, תוסיפו את השכבה השלישית). מה שעוד הפתיע אותי, זה שאחרי ייבוש הוא נראה חצי מט, לא יודעת להסביר את זה בדיוק, אבל מראה מאוד מיוחד. המריחה עברה ללא שום בעיות וזמן הייבוש בין השכבות הוא מהיר מאוד. התמונות הן בלי טופקואוט אבל אני יכולה לספר לכן שגם אחרי ששמתי טופקואוט, הלק נראה מבריק ונוצץ וזה לא פגע במראה המנצנץ של הלק.

גם כאן התמונות לא מדייקות וגם הלק הזה הרבה יותר עמוק במציאות והנצנצים הרבה יותר ורודים ונוצצים מאשר בתמונות.

והנה הסיכום שלי לרכישה הזאת:

לבעלות הקיבה הרגישה – שמרו נפשותיכן !

לחובבות הנצנצים – אתן יודעות שאני לא אומרת את זה הרבה, אז תסמכו עליי הפעם – לקים חובה !

The beginning of a romance.....

I ordered this package after I saw a post about it in this charming blog - http://danrasvault.blogspot.com/

I've never tried Smashbox eyeshadows before, but I heard some good things about them and when I saw this Lagoon eyeshadow in that post, I decided it has to be mine J

So I went straight to StrawberryNET and had my first purchase from them. The lipstick you see was sent to me as a gift for my first order, how nice of them, ha ?

After checking some swatches in the blogosphere, I decided I must (yes, must ! hhahaha) order also another gorgeous eyeshadow I saw, which called Minx and than I stopped myself and decided that that would be enough, until the next order J

The package arrived after 10 days and the eyeshadows look exactly like I imagined !

These are blendable eyeshadows with velvety touch and good pigment, which come in a charming packaging.

The Lagoon is a pretty dark grey, with turquoise shimmer and glitter. The look you get is of a greenish grey with tiny glitter.

The minx is a taupe with a strong purple undertone. Its pigment seems to me even stronger than the Lagoon and this color is absolutely gorgeous and so useful, I'm really in love with both of them and I think this is not the end of my romance with Smashbox…J

The eyeshadows are on sale now and they cost me 14.50 $ each and the shipping - free.

את החבילה הזאת הזמנתי בעקבות פוסט שקראתי בבלוג http://danrasvault.blogspot.com/ של דנרה המקסימה.

את הצלליות של סמאשבוקס אף פעם לא יצא לי לנסות, אבל שמעתי עליהן לא פעם ביקורות טובות וכשראיתי בפוסט הזה את הצללית הזאת, שנקראת Lagoon, החלטתי שהיא חייבת להיות שלי J

אז אצתי רצתי לסטרוברי וביצעתי את הרכישה הראשונה שלי משם (כן, כן, לא ייאמן שעד עכשיו הייתי בתולת סטרוברי אבל...לא עוד ! חחחח). והשפתון שאתן רואות נשלח לי כמתנה על ההזמנה הראשונה שלי באתר, כמה נחמד מצידם, הא ?

אחרי שבדקתי כמה סווטצ'ים של הצלליות ברחבי הבלוגוספירה, החלטתי שאני חייבת ( כן, חייבת ! חחחחח) גם להזמין צללית נוספת שקרצה לי שנקראת minx וכאן עצרתי את עצמי וסיכמתי שדי, עד לפעם הבאה J

ההזמנה הגיעה תוך שבוע וחצי בערך והצלליות נראו בדיוק כמו שדמיינתי אותן ! אלו צלליות אבקה דחוסות, עם מגע קטיפתי ועם פיגמנט טוב שבאות באריזה מקסימה.

ה- Lagoon היא צללית בצבע אפור די כהה, עם שימר טורקיז ונצנצים. המראה שמתקבל הוא מעין אפור-ירקרק עם נצנצים קטנטנים.

ה- minx היא צללית בצבע חום- אפור עם תת גוון סגול דומיננטי. הפיגמנט שלה היה נראה לי אפילו חזק יותר מהשניה והצבע פשוט מהמם וכל כך שימושי, אני ממש מאוהבת בשתיהן ונראה לי שזה לא סוף הרומן שלי עם סמאשבוקס J

הצלליות בהנחה עכשיו בסטרוברי והן עלו לי 56 ש"ח ליחידה והמשלוח - חינם.

איך מזמינים ?

Purple diamond in a blue paradise

I promised you swatches from all the last packages, so without farther talking, here we start:

I received these two polishes in the package from the lovely Chocaddict that I showed you last week.

הבטחתי סווטצ'ים של כל החבילות האחרונות , אז הפעם בלי הקדמות נוספות הנה זה מתחיל:

את הלקים האלו קיבלתי בחבילה מ- Chocaddict שהראיתי לכן בשבוע שעבר. אני אחרוג ממנהגי הפעם מכיוון שיש כמה סווטצ'ים ואכתוב מתחת לכל לק, כדי שיהיה לכן נוח יותר (אני חושבת שזה נוח יותר, נכון ?).

Mavala - Paradise Blue

Mavala – Paradise Blue – this one is part of Mavala Paradise Collection for Summer 2010 – a beautiful blue, almost metallic with a silvery shimmer. When we're talking about metallic polishes you have to be super careful with the application – brush strokes and bubbles are common things in these polishes and that's why I don't use them often. I'm a perfectionist and every little bubble or brushstroke can drive me crazy, so I usually choose to save me the pain J

But – most of the time, when you successfully pass the application part, you get an awesome look and that's the case with this polish – this is a gorgeous shade of blue and I couldn't take my eyes out of my hands J

Two coats were enough to get an opaque look and the drying time was fast. As appropriate to a metallic polish, it changes with different lightings, so I took pictures with different lightings, but please notice that it's a bit more turquoise than you can see in the pictures.

Mavala – Paradise Blue – שייך ל- Mavala Paradise Collection for Summer 2010 - כחול כמעט מטאלי עם שימר כסוף. כשמדובר על לקים מטאליים, צריך להיות סופר זהירים עם המריחה – סימני מברשת ובועות הם דבר נפוץ כשמדובר בלקים האלה וזאת הסיבה שאני לא משתמשת בהם הרבה. אני פרפקציוניסטית ובועה קטנה או סימן מברשת שיצא קצת לא ישר יכולים להוציא אותי מדעתי, אז אני בוחרת לרוב לחסוך מעצמי את עוגמת הנפש J

מה שכן ייאמר לזכותם, שהרבה פעמים, אם צולחים את שלב המריחה, המראה שמתקבל הוא מקסים וזה גם מה שהיה עם הלק הזה – גוון מהמם של כחול שפשוט לא יכולתי להפסיק להסתכל על היד שלי J. שתי שכבות הספיקו למראה אטום וזמן הייבוש היה מהיר.

כיאה ללק מטאלי, הוא משתנה בהתאם לתאורה, אז צילמתי לכן אותו בכמה מצבים, רק קחו בחשבון שיש בן מן הטורקטיזיות, אבל לא רואים את זה בתמונות.

Essence - Purple Diamond

Essence – Perfect Diamond – One of their new shades. A light purple, also almost metallic but with lots and lots of tiny silvery glitter. Gorgeous !

The application here was perfect, just like all the other Essence polishes I've had the chance to try so far. The polish applies like butter J a great pigment makes it almost opaque after the first coat, the brush is comfortable and the formula is very good. I'm very very pleased with these polishes and I wish I could buy them here.

Two coats were totally enough here in order to get an opaque look although, and you know I don't usually say this, you can go with only one coat. I also want to mention that because its glitter are so tiny, the polish is smooth on the nails and there are no removal issues.

Essence – Perfect Diamond - אחד מהצבעים החדשים שלהם. סגול בהיר, גם כמעט מטאלי, אבל עם המון המון נצנצים כסופים קטנטנים. מהמם !

גם כאן, כמו עם לקים אחרים של Essence שיצא לי לנסות, המריחה פשוט מדהימה . הלק נמרח כמו חמאה J פיגמנט מעולה הופך אותו לכמעט אטום כבר בשכבה ראשונה, מברשת נוחה ופורמולה מעולה. אני ממש ממש מרוצה מהם וחבל שאי אפשר להשיג אותם כאן.

שתי שכבות כאן מספיקות בהחלט למרות, ואתן יודעות שאני ממש לא אומרת את זה הרבה, שאפשר להסתפק גם בשכבה אחת. אני רוצה גם לציין שמאחר והנצנצים כאן הם כ"כ קטנטנים, הלק שמתקבל הוא חלק למגע ואין בעיה להסיר אותו.

טוב, זהו להיום, עד הסווטץ' הבא........

שיטת המיקס אנד מאץ' עובדת נהדר עם לקים ורמת התעוזה הנדרשת יכולה להשתנות בהתאם לבחירות שנעשות. את המיקס אפשר לעשות עם צבעים שונים או עם מרקמים שונים או גם וגם. הפעם אני מראה לכן מיקס גם עם צבעים וגם עם מרקמים – 4 אצבעות בצבע סגול במרקם קרם ואצבע אחת בצבע אדום במרקם נצנצים אלוהי. אני מאוד אוהבת את השילוב הזה של לק קרמי עם אצבע אחת עם נצנצים – זה מוסיף כל כך הרבה חיות למניקור ! והמיקס הזה של שני הלקים האלו מושלם בעיניי !

ללק הסגול השתמשתי ב – Risque Primavera-verao שקיבלתי בחבילה מאנה – סגול כהה יחסית במרקם קרמי. המריחה היתה מאוד קלה אבל גם קצת טריקית כי הלק הוא די נוזלי, אז צריך לדאוג כל הזמן שיש כמות נכונה של לק על המברשת. חוץ מהקטע הזה שהלק קצת נוזלי, אני ממש מרוצה משני הלקים של Risque שאנה שלחה לי – הצבעים ממש יפים ובגימור מבריק מקסים. 3 שכבות נדרשו כדי להגיע למראה אטום.

ללק האדום השתמשתי ב- China Glaze Ruby Pumps הנצחי – אחד הלקים היחידים שזוכים אצלי לשימוש חוזר ולא נמאסים עליי. אדום כהה יחסית, מלאאאאאא בנצנצים אדומים בהירים יותר שמעניקים לו עומק מדהים ומרקם מנצח. בשביל להגיע לאפקט המקסימלי נדרשות 3 שכבות לפחות.

China Glaze - Ruby Pumps on the ring finger

This is the mani I chose for this weekend !

And this time it's in mix and match style !

The mix and match method works great with polishes and the daring level that is required can change according to the choices that are being made. The mix can be done with different colors or different textures or both. This time I show you a mix I made with both colors and textures – 4 fingers in a crème purple and one finger in a fabulous red glitter. I really love this combination of a crème polish with one glitter finger – it makes the mani so much more alive ! And the mix of these two is perfect in my opinion !

For the purple polish I used Risque Primavera-verao that I received in the package from the lovely Ana – a pretty dark purple in a crème texture. The application was easy but a bit tricky because the polish is pretty runny, so you need to make sure that you have the right amount of polish on the brush. Beside that fact, I'm really pleased with those two Risque polishes Ana has sent me – the colors are gorgeous and the finish is glossy and beautiful. 3 coats were needed to get an opaque look.

For the red polish I use the eternal China Glaze Ruby Pumps – one of the single polishes I keep returning to and I don't get enough. A pretty dark red, loaded with lither red glitter which give it an amazing depth and a winning finish. You need at least 3 coats to get to the maximal result.
