Nail art for the weekend!

I love weekends! Weekends allow me to spend precious time with my family and also time to catch some sleep here and there. Now that we have a little baby, weekends are not the same, and I guess many of you moms can understand me J 

But this weekend, I felt like I need some time alone with my colors – yes, not kid's crayons, but my polishes and nail art. I was in the mood for some stars and flowers, and I couldn't decide what mani to do, so I created some options on the nail wheel - Here they are…

I used Misa – Sorry just can't help it (purple), Icing Mood Swing – Passionate/Shy (turquoise) and Chic no. 25 (yellow)

Rainbow of colors from Chocaddict

Today I have something special to show you !

I received Gosh Rainbow in the package from the wonderful Chocaddict and even before I saw it, I knew I'm going to love it.

This is a clear base with lots of massive duochrome flakies in colors of orange-yellow-green and one coat of it over any polish, changes it completely. Absolutely stunning !

It's popular to lay this polish over black for maximum effect, but I've decided to do a little experiment and show it to you over several dark crème polishes, so you can see it in different ways. As I wrote, all you need is one layer of this polish and everything changes. As thick as the layer would be, as bigger the amount of flakies that would cover the base color will be.

And now to the experiment:

As a base, I used 4 different colors and I took you some "before" pictures so you can see them "clean" (also these are some of my favorite crèmes so you can take a recommendation on them all on the way):

היום יש לי משהו מיוחד להראות לכן !

את הלק הזה של Gosh שנקרא Rainbow קיבלתי בחבילה מ- Chocaddict המקסימה ועוד לפני שראיתי אותו, ידעתי שאני הולכת לאהוב אותו.

הלק הזה הוא בעצם לק שקוף עם חתיכות נצנצים ענקיות (המכונות Flakies) דואוכרומיות בצבעים של כתום-צהוב-ירוק ושכבה אחת שלו מעל כל לק, משנה אותו לחלוטין, פשוט מטריף !

מקובל לשים את הלקים מהסוג הזה על לק שחור לקבלת האפקט המירבי, אבל החלטתי לעשות ניסוי הפעם ולהראות לכן אותו על כמה לקים כהים בגוונים שונים, כדי שתוכלו להתרשם. כמו שכתבתי, כל מה שצריך זו שכבה אחת מהלק והכל משתנה. ככל שתשימו שכבה עבה יותר, כך כמות הנצנצים תהיה גדולה יותר וזה יכסה שטח יותר גדול מצבע הבסיס.

ונעבור לניסוי:

בתור בסיס, השתמשתי בארבעה צבעים שונים וצילמתי לכן אותם "נקיים" כדי שתוכלו להתרשם ממראה ה"לפני" (חוץ מזה שאלו חלק מהקרמיים הפייבוריטים שלי אז קבלו המלצה על כולם על הדרך):

אצבע – Enchanted Forest של אורלי

אמה – מס' 32 של שיק.

קמיצה – Sorry Just Can't Help It של מיסה.

זרת – Can't Nobody Take Me Down גם הוא של מיסה.

מעל כולם הוספתי שכבה של Rainbow והתוצאה לפניכן !

התמונות משקפות את המראה שמתקבל אבל קחו בחשבון שכל פעם שאתן מזיזות את היד, רואים צבע אחר, כי זה משתנה בהתאם לתאורה ולזויות ובאופן אישי, אני הכי אהבתי את המראה שלו על השחור ועל הסגול J

הוא בהחלט מצטרף לרשימת הלקים הכי מיוחדים שיש לי.

עבר הרבה זמן מאז הקולקציה האחרונה שלהם והנה הם הצליחו להגיח עם קולקציה חדשה ומפתיעה (שימרית ? נראה כך...)ואני כבר ממש סקרנית לראות אותה בלייב !

אז.....מה באמת אני אוהבת לגבי מיסה ? עד עכשיו, כל הלקים של מיסה שיצא לי לנסות היו פשוט מעולים, פורמולה מצויינת ומריחה קלה כמו חמאה – אני מקווה שזה מה שנראה גם בקולקציה החדשה !

הבטחתי סווטצ'ים מההזמנה האחרונה, נכון ? אז הנה זה בא.

Misa Can't Nobody Take Me Down ו- Misa Sorry Just Can't Help It הם שניים מקולקציית סתיו 2009 של מיסה שנקראת ""I’m Only Human.

Misa Sorry Just Can't Help It הוא סגול מדיום, כמו שמכנים אותו. כלומר, הוא לא סגול מאוד כהה וגם לא סגול בהיר. למרות שבמבט ראשון הוא נראה כמו עוד סגול רגיל, אחרי ששמים אותו רואים כמה הוא מיוחד ויפה. יש לו תת גוון אדום והמרקם שלו הוא קרמי ומבריק בצורה מדהימה.

Misa Can't Nobody Take Me Down הוא מעין חום אדמדם, אבל הקטע המפתיע בו זה שאפשר לראות בו תת גוון סגול. הוא כהה, אבל לא מדי, והגוון שלו ממש מיוחד בעיניי ומזכיר לי גם שוקולד וגם דובדבן בו זמנית - למרות שהוא בכלל לא נראה כמו דובדבן, כן ? רק לוודא שאני לא מטעה אתכן (זה גם אחד השילובים האהובים עליי, שוקולד ודובדבנים, ותוסיפו לזה גם קצת אלכוהול ובכלל קניתן אותי....חחחח) לכל אלו מכן שאוהבות את גווני החום-בורדו – אני בטוחה שאתן תאהבו אותי כמוני !

הפורמולה של שניהם קצת סמיכה אבל עדיין, בדומה למיסה נוספים שיש לי, הם נמרחים ממש כמו חמאה, ממש בקלות ורק צריך למרוח אותם בזהירות.

הקטע שממש הפתיע אותי, בשני הלקים האלה, הוא שכבר אחרי שכבה אחת הם נראים מושלם ! זה לא קורה עם הרבה לקים, ובמיוחד לא עם כהים. מרחתי שכבה אחת וזה היה נראה פשוט מצוין, אטום, אחיד, מבריק – ממש הפתיעו אותי שני אלה. כמעט שקלתי להשאיר את זה ככה, אבל החלטתי לשים עוד שכבה כדי שזה ייראה יותר "מסודר".

זמן הייבוש שלהם סביר, לא מהמהירים שפגשתי, אז צריך לשמור על הציפורניים אחרי המריחה. המתנתי כמה דקות ואז מרחתי את המייבש ובמהרה הציפורניים שלי כבר היו יבשות למגע.

כמו שאתן יכולות לראות, קיצרתי את הציפורניים בצורה משמעותית, וזה כי 3 (!!) מהן נשברו לי מהבסיס כשניקיתי את הבית (גם את זה צריך לעשות לפעמים לא ? חחח) - בהתחלה חשבתי שאני עוד אצליח להציל אותן, אבל כשראיתי מה הנזק, הבנתי שאין לי ברירה אלא לקצר אותן עד הסוף.....

I promised you swatches from my last haul, haven't I ? So here it comes….

Misa Can't Nobody Take Me Down and Misa Sorry Just Can't Help It are both from Misa "I’m Only Human" collection of Fall 2009.

Misa Sorry Just Can't Help It is a crème medium purple and I absolutely needed this kind of purple in my collection – it seems pretty "regular" purple at first, but after you apply it…I can't explain…I just fell in love with it….

You can see it has some red inside it and its finish is very shiny, exactly like I like my crèmes J

Misa Can't Nobody Take Me Down is kind of a reddish brown, and the surprising part is that you can also see some purple in it. It has a very unique shade – reminds me both chocolate and cherry at the same time, even though it doesn't look like cherry at all, so don't get me wrong (it is also one of my favorite combinations – chocolate and cherry, just add some alcohol to the party and I'm totally yours…lol)

For those of you who love the reddish- brown shades – I'm sure you'll love this one as much as I do !

The formula of both of them is a bit on the thick side, but still, like other Misas I own, they applied like butter, very easily, and you just have to pay attention when you apply them.

The surprising part for me was, that they both look perfect after one coat ! You can't see it in a lot of polishes, especially not with the dark ones. I applied one coat and it looked amazing – opaque and shiny – that was a big surprise for me. I decided to apply a second coat, to get it more "tidy", but you definitely don't need 3 coats and if you want just one – it will look good also.

Their drying time is o.k, not the fastest I had, but o.k. – just let your nails dry for a few minutes. My pictures are with one coat of Poshe topcoat.

As you can see, my nails are significantly shorter and that's because 3 (!!) of them had broken while I was cleaning the house (you got to do it sometimes too, don't you ? lol). At first, I thought that I could save them, but when I saw the damage, I realized that there is no way out and I had to short them all…..

Latest haul from Transdesign

שבוע שעבר דפק השליח אצלי בדלת והביא לי את החבילה החדשה שלי. ואני, כמובן, ישר עטתי עליה, מחכה בקוצר רוח לראות את הלקים שהזמנתי. יווו, אני אומרת לכן, חבילות זה דבר כ”כ כיףףףףףףףף J

את החבילה הזאת הזמנתי מ- transdesign - אני מאוד אוהבת להזמין חבילות מהם בגלל המחירים הנוחים והשירות המהיר וגם יש להם מבחר מצויין. וכרגיל, הכל גם הגיע ארוז בצורה טובה ואפילו קיבלתי ארנק קטן וחמוד מתנה.

הפעם הזמנתי לקים מקולקציות חדשות שיצאו, כולל קולקציה מיוחדת של צ'יינה גלייז לתמיכה במודעות לסרטן השד ומארז מיני של חלק מהקולקציה הספרדית של OPI וכולם פשוט מדהימים.

בנוסף, הזמנתי מייבש חדש של Poshe ששמעתי עליו הרבה (super-fast drying topcoat) והחלטתי לנסות ואני כבר יכולה להגיד לכן שהוא עושה עבודה טובה ואני אוהבת אותו. עכשיו אני רק צריכה לראות האם יהיה אפשרי להשתמש בו עד הסוף, או שגם הוא, כמו המייבש הקודם שהיה לי של Seche, יהפוך לצמיגי אחרי חצי בקבוק. ושלא יהיו לכן ספקות, המייבש של Seche מעולה, אהבתי אותו מאוד. פשוט אחרי שעברתי את החצי, הוא נהיה כ"כ סמיך שזה היה בלתי אפשרי להמשיך להשתמש בו ומכיוון שלא רציתי לדלל אותו, נאלצתי לזרוק אותו. אז הפעם חשבתי לנסות את המייבש הזה של Poshe ולראות אם בו אפשר להשתמש עד הסוף.

טוב, אז נשאר רק לראות את התמונות של הבייביס החדשים, נכון ? J

The delivery guy knocked on my door last week and delivered me my new package. I went straight to open it and see my new polishes. Ooooohhhhh I'm telling you, packages are so much fun !!!!

I ordered this package from transdesign – I love ordering from them – they have quick service, fair prices, large variety and they are very nice. And as usual, everything was well packed and I even got a little cute wallet as a gift.

I ordered some polishes from some pretty new collections, including China Glaze Breast Cancer collection and OPI De Espana Senoritas Mini pack, and they all are amazing.

I also ordered Poshe super-fast drying topcoat, after I've heard some good things about it, and I can tell you by now that I love it. My last topcoat was the one of Seche and it was excellent – I really loved it, but there was just one thing –it became very sticky and thick after about half a bottle and it was impossible to use it that way (I didn't want to use a thinner). So I decided to try Poshe topcoat this time and see if I can use the whole bottle with it.

So that was my new package and swatches are coming soon – I already have swatched most of them and I'm working on it right now J

לפני כמה שבועות, החלטנו לעשות החלפת חבילות בינינו ולשלוח אחת לשניה לקים מפתיעים שכל אחת תבחר לשניה. ואתן כבר יודעות שהפתעות אני אוהבת !! ואם הן קשורות ללקים – אז השמחה כפולה ומכופלת ! חחחחחח...... (למה אין אייקונים כאן בבלוגר ???)

והנה חבילת ההפתעות שלי הגיעה, עם לקים מהממים בתוכה, ורציתי לשתף אתכן בחגיגה :-)

בתוך הקרטון הגיע מארז מדליק של מדבקות 3D לציפורניים בידיים וברגליים, עם כל מיני דוגמאות של מדבקות בצורות ובצבעים שונים ארוזות בצורה מדליקה ! אף פעם לא ראיתי מארז כזה – בחנויות כאן אני תמיד רואה מדבקות שמגיעות בשקיות בודדות ומארז כזה, עם כל מיני סוגים ודוגמאות של מדבקות, הוא ממש מגניב !

בנוסף נחו להם בתוך החבילה מחזיק מפתחות של קבוצת הבייסבול St.Louis Cardinals, שהיא מהאזור שלה והיא רשמה לי שהם אוהבים ללכת למשחקים שלהם בעונת הקיץ, וחבילה של Skittles עם סוכריות צבעוניות בטעמים שונים.

וגולת הכותרת – 5 לקים יפהפיים !! אחד מהם, China glaze Raspberry Festival, היה חצי הפתעה כי הוא היה אחד מכמה שמות שעלו כשדיברתי איתה, אבל לא ידעתי אם היא תמצא אותו או לא – אז איזה כיף שהיא מצאה ! הוא מדהים ברמות !! אני אראה לכן אותו ביתר פירוט בהמשך כשאני אעשה סווטצ'ים שלו :-)

I got this gorgeous package from sweet Velvet from the wonderful blog http://bringonthebling.blogspot.com/

A couple of weeks ago, we've decided to do a swap and send to one another some surprising nail polishes that each one of us would choose for the other. And you already know that I love surprises !! And if it relates to nail polishes – that is a double joy ! lol

Well, my package has arrived, with some gorgeous things inside, and I wanted to share it with you :-)

Inside the box, there was a cool pack of 3D nail& toe stickers, with all kinds of stickers, with different shapes and colors ! I love these stickers and I definitely going to use them in my next manicures !

In addition, Velvet added me a key ring of the St.Louis Cardinals baseball team and my first Skittles, which were yummy !

And the best part – 5 stunning polishes !!! one of them, China glaze Raspberry Festival, was half a surprise, because it was one of the names that I mentioned to her, but I didn't know if she'd find it – and that is so fun that she did – it is such a beautiful color.

As you can see – all the colors are amazing ! Velvet has such a good taste and she nailed exactly to my taste (hope this is the way to say it and that you understood what I meant…lol) ! I hope to post their swatches soon !

Thank you so much Velvet for this amazing package – you did such a great job in choosing me these polishes and surprises and I just LOVE it !!!

בסקר שעשיתי בשבועות האחרונים אתן בחרתן את Misa –Toxic Seduction כלק הבא שברצונכן לראות, אז מי אני שאגיד

אז הנה הוא לפניכן – הלק הזה הוא מקולקציית Poisoned Passion collection של מיסה (Fall 2008) והוא בצבע ירוק כהה, כהה מאוד. לא מאלה שנראים כמו שחור, אבל עדיין ירוק כהה מאוד. הגוון שלו מדהים והוא מלאאאאא בנצנצים קטנים ומהממים שהופכים אותו לעשיר במיוחד !!

המריחה שלו מצויינת, הוא נמרח בקלות ומתייבש די מהר. אני מרחתי 3 שכבות, ובתמונות אתן רואות אותו בלי שכבה של מייבש מעל – תראו כמה שהוא מבריק ! הגימור שלו פשוט מקסים !!

אז קבלו את בחירת הקהל להפעם:

Misa –Toxic Seduction

In the last weeks, I had published a poll and you chose Misa Toxic Seduction as the next polish you'd like to see – so ….you chose it – you got it !! :-)

This one is from Misa Fall 2008 Poisoned Passion collection, and it is a dark green, very dark. Not one of those who seems like black, but still, a very dark green. It has a stunning green shade and it's loaded with gorgeous tiny glitter that makes it very rich !!

The application here is great – very easy and dry pretty fast. I applied 3 coats and you can see it without a topcoat at the pictures – look how shiny it is ! I just love its finish !!

I think that was a great choice ! What do you think about this one ? Did you like it as much as I did ?

My Birthday hauls !!!

היום בחצות אני משנה קידומת ל.....30

עוד לא החלטתי מה אני מרגישה לגבי זה...אבל מה שכן החלטתי, זה להוסיף כמה לקים חדשים לאוסף...חחחח

זה התחיל בהזמנה אחת, הפך צ'יק צ'ק לשתי הזמנות, ואז נוספו גם עוד לקים מקניות בארץ.......חחח....טוב, נו...יומולדת או לא ?

ובנוסף, מכיוון שלא הצלחתי להחליט איזה לק לשים במסיבת יום ההולדת שלי שתהיה ביום חמישי (איך אפשר לבחור מבין כל החדשים האלה ?? ) החלטתי לתת לכן לבחור בשבילי :-) שמתי משאל בצד ימין וביום רביעי הוא ייסגר והלק שייבחר, יהיה הלק שיככב במסיבה שלי !

Hi There !

Today at midnight, I'm turning…….30

I haven't decided yet what I think about this……but what I HAVE decided, is to add some new polishes to my collection….lol

So it started in one order, quickly turned to 2 orders, and then I bought another polishes here when I was visiting some stores….lol…..well, it's my birthday or not ?

In addition to that, I am having a birthday party on Thursday and I just can't decide what polish to wear (how can you choose one from all of that ?? ), so I've decided that I'll let you decide for me :-) I added a poll in the right side and it will be open until Wednesday, and the one you'll choose for me, would be the polish I'll be wearing at my party !
