Kahlil Gibran (1883-1931) was a Lebanese poet and this particular book is his most famous. It was first published in the U.S. in 1923 and has been translated into 100 languages.
I have had many reasons in recent years to ponder Khalil Gibran's "What is evil, but good tortured by its own hunger and thirst"... I´m not sure how it says in english but I hope you know what I mean.
I was reading his interesting verses, and I remember this: And don't forget, my friends, that the leaves only sing when they are separated from the branch!
