Some Reds for You

Did some rearranging at the store..
Bits of this and that..

Tins...always fun..no matter what they are or were used for.

Cool 1970's Cracker Jack tin, and the lid and crank part to an old butter churn.
Cool even without the jar....

One whole shelf unit of reds here, and scattered throughout the room
Usually cannot pass up reds. =)

and this mystery piece.
Just picked this up. Love it but don't know what it is, or is to.
It is about 2' long, and 18" wide and 4" tall.
If you turn it over on the other side it has hearts on it.
Can you see them??
Any ideas?? what it was or what fun thing we can do with it?

Thanks all for coming by.

Vintage Metal Egg Shipping Crate

 Some jars I just got....
that Coca Cola 'straw holder' is short.
anyone know what it is for???
supposed to be old but does not look like it.
Other jars, very unique, galvanized lids and some have handles.
Coffee jars??  old I know. any help is appreciated.
Just a bit of 'stuff' in the kitchen area..
and this is what I am really here to show you.....
a circa 1920's egg shipping crate!!!
Is this amazing???
It was for shipping 2 dozen eggs.
This one is from Montana.
inside the box is this paper..
Tells who it is shipped to,
how to pack it, how to unpack it, and other information and ads.
and here are the little packing cups,
with the original packing papers!!
Here are some of the aged words on the outside of the box.
"Fragile"
 2 Dozen Eggs,
and eggs on each end of box.

I am soooo excited about this find.
and Yes, it is going in the store.....=)

thanks for coming by.

Tiny Little Kitchen Treasures

 Look what I bought today.
It is the tiniest little kitchen set I have ever seen.
I'll say sorry now, cause I will just keep saying "tiny" over and over. =)
This is all soooo cute!!
not sure what the little pot is....maybe a water pitcher??
the tiny, tiny, tiniest sifter/strainer ever.....
and cookie cutters....
 That tiny beater really beats......
and see the tiny scoop??
 and tiny cookie cutters......
aren't they cute???
And look at these tiny, tiny graters.....
aren't they cute?
And they really grate....
(just being cute. did not try them) =)
Not sure what these are supposed to be.
Reminds me of a flower basket.
What do you think??
and this tiny grinder....and the handle really turns,
and the tiny little part inside even really goes around.

So, I'm so lovin' this whole thing...

Thanks for ocming by.

"New" Treasures

Some New Treasures...... Found this Tea Pot.
Vintage Calphalon made in Ireland.
Then says U.S.A. Not sure what it all means.
Trying to find info on it. Anyone know??
My latest pocket watch. and it works!! =)

Just some old things in the kitchen.

Some every day white enamel.
A little vignette below.
Notice anything unusual???
I 'repurposed' something. bottom right corner.
and my first ever corn grater.
and saw these treasures.....
I know what they are now thanks to my sweet blogger friends.

This is for weeding, and it works great!!
I dug up a couple of Dandelions with it!

and what about this strange wire meshy sort of thing with a handle??
This is for cleaning cast iron pots.
Got that answer from several friends.
So, thank you!!
Mystery solved.
(sold already too) =)

Thursday Goodies

Quick and easy:

I love Psalm 139:17,18.
(click on pic to read verse)
Here it is with a small jar of sand, music paper,
and verse printed from the computer.
All put together in a frame.
You could do it with any verse, and
just add something that will go with it,
or a personal treasure you enjoy.

Thrifty Treasure

Sorry this is sideways, and not done,
but, these books of prayers and sweet thoughts
is a great way to have verses already printed out for your art.
You can usually get them pretty cheap at sales, especially if
they have a tear or crayon scribble on a page or two.
A quarter or fifty cents for a bunch of verses is a pretty good deal.

I'll try to have one made up for Friday.
