Newest Finds and Treasures

woo hoo. My Outdoor Bedroom was featured at 

Timewashed on their Blissful Whites Wednesday.

OK, here are a few of my latest finds.

 tennis racket holder, old CB radio, buttons, 

office goods, and that really cute little lamp.

(perfect colors, and it works!)

These are barn door pulleys....so cool.

I may be starting a collection....=)

This vintage paper cutter is only 6" wide!!

So fun to hang on a wall.

Uh Oh. May be starting a collection of these too. =)

My newest bread box...love the green.

Grand Father clock face.

Also have innards,

and the cabinet. 

Piecing it all out. fun.

plant shelf, and more old milk cans.

I do love my rust.

And this last treasure.

Almost 100 year old violin. (or so I was told)

Neck is coming away from body of it,

but still has lots of appeal sitting in case, or hanging on wall.

Loved the case too, and below is a close up of the neck (or whatever it is called). So pretty.
 

That is just a small part of the treasures I have been finding lately.

Some of my finds lately:

 love this tiny little Tootsie Toy piano.

 

fun idea: use anything that will hold magnets and make a display out of it.

The item holding the old photo? a 'striker' for starting fires.

 

 

found this old mirror, brush, and tray. yummy creamy color.

this is a beautiful charcoal peace. She seems so serene.

and my unusual find, for me, are these bowling pins. I always said I grew up in a bowling alley. My Dad worked at one, and we were there all the time.

New Treasures for the Store

 Had two fun days of shopping this last weekend,

so here are some of my treasures.

Above: 2 little children's wood chairs,

a watering can, rusty little shovel,

and 3 cameras.

 

Here is a close up of he cameras.

Love that one on the left. have never seen on like it before.

 

On the other chair are two cast iron toys,

an old pocket dictionary, a little typewriter pencil sharpener, and a little box of cards.

(Have not checked out what kind yet) =)

I like a mystery.

Here is a totally rusty and cool old camp stove, oven thingy.

 Here is the inside. Will be so cute for display.

  One can never have too many rusty old bird cages.....

 And this one has such a cute pattern on the plastic.

 Here are some other treasures:

Old washboard, brass scale, and 2 leaded glass cupboard doors.

These are really nice leaded glass, and heavy,

but I think I will paint the oak black, and scruff it up some.

It is just to newish looking for me.

What would you do with them??

 Here is a close up of the old nail bag from the last pic.

And here is the inside, all divided up into pockets for assorted nails.

Hmmm. What can we sue it for???

Library Card File?

Newest find. Not even out of car yet.

Library card file, or maybe pharmacists file.

Needs to be cleaned, and a bit of repair,

but such a cool piece.

Exciting New Finds

 Well, don't ask me why I love what I do,

I just do.....

Like this old leather camera case.....

soooo worn on the outside....

 and just look at the inside.....

who would ever buy something like that???

well, me!! That's who. I loved it,

Can you imagine where and how long and what pictures have

been taken with the camera that rode for years in this case???

And it still has years of life still left in it....

 and how perfect is it in this vignette at the store?

 another find this weekend.....

(I really did hit the jackpot lately)

 an old Maritime Compass.

 and look at this pile????

I am soooo excited over these finds.

Old Radio Flyer trike.....

 

Just needs a bit of cleaning,

but not too much!! =)

 

and my first ever game of Chinese Checkers.

No clue how to play, but it was so perfectly aged....

 and all the marbles are there too.

Well, I have piles more to show you...another day. =)
