Cook Books..and More

I found a batch of old books last weekend.
Cook Book by a local church in my own home town..
dated 1910/11
cook books by Metropolitan Life Insurance. Co.
One dated 1918

Royal Baker, another old cookbook. dated 1911.....

this fun little booklet is a
Clay Robinson and Co. Livestock Report.

This has a lot of information I would have never thought to ask:
like, average time required for the digestion of various foods.
is that for me, or a cow???
 A calendar from 1922,
and gestation periods of farm animals.... OK...moving on..

This is the envelope a "Gasoline Engine Instruction Book"
came in, from Sears, Roebuck, and Co.
Seattle, Wash.
 Post marked 1925

 And finally, this book.
The Puritan. Dated Sept. 1900.

 cool old ad.....
 and contents page.
This book has a lot of wonderful pictures and ads in it
and my pics do not show you the wonderful
aged colors of the pages...

White Wednesday Vintage Cookbook

Just got back from vacation where we filled the car with goodies.
One is these 1906 White House Cookbook.
It has seen a LOT of use.... but just aged to perfection for me.
Several beautiful pictures too. (sorry for sideways)
Love this one. I'm sure the ladies wore their nice dresses,
and white, lace edged aprons every day for their kitchen duties. =)

White Wednesday Blessings,
and thank you Kathleen for hosting each week.

Favorite Things & a "New" Book

Bits and pieces of one of one of my favorite collages.

No time right now for any creating,
so hope this old favorite will inspire you.

Here is a new banner I put together in Banner Maker.
Not bad for a rookie, but the one my daughter
is designing will be so much better.
If you want to take a peek at the idea we are
working on, go HERE.
Glad to hear any feedback you have for me.
When finished, it will be on all my blogs too.

And this is my new book.

The American Woman' Cookbook, 1944.
A bit tattered and faded, but wonderful inside.
$12 + shipping
