Old Art Pieces, Old World Santas

I did these pencil drawings years ago,
and had them made into cards.
(early 80's I think)

fun to go back through old files....

and see what I did back then.

I see a lot I would change now....

But they are what they are.....

and it is good to look back and see how my art, and I,
 have changed....
and to appreciate that I did the best I could with
what I knew at that time.

so it is in life.....doing the best we can,
each step of the way.

Blessings as you grow

New Treasures, Cleaning Out & Card Pics

I'm cleaning house.
Well, craft drawers at least.
So, I have decided I will probably never get
anything done with these cool watches,
and I am selling them.
This is the back of the first clock.
So cool. Looks really old, but I have no clue.
This watch is a locket.

And here is a very different one.

And how about these empty ones all ready
for some cute art in them.

Let me know if you are interested in any.
I will try to list on my store blog soon if they are still around
in a couple of days.
THESE ARE ALL SPOKEN FOR.
MAY HAVE MORE LATER.
Thanks ladies!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This is the 'new' mantle clock at the store.
Does not work, but it looks really cool!!
I showed you these cards yesterday,
but did not feel like they showed up well on a white background.
So here is a better look.
click to enlarge.
And remember that little booklet I showed you HERE?
I'm getting another whole slew of them done!!
I'm having so much fun!!
Taxes? Inventory? Another day. =)
New Cards
Busy making some new cards.
Love this little picture.
All art used on these cards is from
My Little Raggedy Blessings
Thanks Renae!!
(when you go to her site, click on
the scatter kindness girl on left sidebar.)
This all white lace with buttons and bow is a different look for me.
I enjoyed the change of making it.
White lace background, a piece of gauze fabric,
and a tag with ribbon on this one.
(this tag is not from Renae, but will have to see where I got it.)
Love this one. Sweet picture,
cheesecloth around the edges,
lace trip on top, and....
a little piece of mating lace on the inside.
I try to put a bit of matching trim on the insides of the cards.
A sweet little surprise when the card is opened.
This card seems like it still needs something.
Or, maybe the red heart is just too much.
And ideas??
I've decided I'm pretty much a minimalist.
Just sweet and simple for me.
White Cards, Red Flowers, and a Little Green Frog
Hi Froggy!
We were moving some lumber
around in the yard and saw this little guy.
And here is another one.
Can you see him??
This is a pot from my brothers garden.
It broke in the freeze,
and it was totally root bound.
Looks like it is still in a pot, but those are roots.
And these, although they look pink,
are actually deep red primroses my sweet fella
bought and surprised me with.
And here are some red goodies from a box of treasures i bought.
Anyone know what the 'junket' tablets are?
And this can is still full of salve.
Probably best I could not get it open.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Easy clothespin jar I crafted.
Kind of on the cream/white side.

And these cards are for sure white
for my white Wednesday part of this post.

I've been cleaning at the store, and found a box of old cards
I did years ago.
These are pen and inks.
I had more pictures of cards, but could
not get them to turn right side up.
I'll try another time.

Do hope you will all go check out these blogs.
So many sweet things to see,
and wonderful hostesses who put these special days on.
Thank you to all.

Watches, Sunshine, Smiles, and Projects.

A sweet card for you.
From goodies off the internet.
(sorry i do not have source.)

Here is a bit of redness for you.
A jewelry box, with watches in it.
(I paid $7.00 for the vintage jewelry box and contents!)

Some cool jewelry someone was working on.
See the two pins made of miscellaneous watch parts?

And here is an interesting piece of jewelry.
A band bracelet made of watch parts.

Here is a bit of outdoor sunshine for you.

This duck hi tailed it when I got my camera out.
Maybe bad feather day?

Some beautiful red Rhody's.
Everything is blooming so early this year!!

Our granddaughter Ava on family Sunday.
Nice enough day that we were running around the yard playing tag!
So glad to be 61, and still be able to chase kids around the yard.
(glad she stopped though,
I needed to catch my breath!) =)

Here is an easy, and affordable project for you.
A cheese dome, candle holder, and broken Paris clock.

Turned into a sweet serving plate.

What a mess!!!
Valentine's out.....

New display coming....

Another step closer.
White lace curtains over two old windows.
lace tablecloth.

More coming soon. =)

I'm participating with these wonderful ladies.
Won't you please go check out their blogs?
Oh, and be sure to thank them for all their
work in organizing these special days..
