Beautiful Kodak Camera

Our shopping trip last week yielded, among other things,
this wonderful Kodak camera.
It is a model B-4, patented on Oct.19, 1909.
The camera and case are in beautiful condition,
and I assume camera works perfectly fine.
(not a camera expert, but finding out from one).

It is so clean, I wonder if it has even ever been used.

click on pic to enlarge and see beautiful detail.

Those white marks on the case are where I had not dusted it off yet.=)

Thanks for visiting.

New Treasures for the Store

Had two fun days of shopping this last weekend,
so here are some of my treasures.
Above: 2 little children's wood chairs,
a watering can, rusty little shovel,
and 3 cameras.

Here is a close up of he cameras.
Love that one on the left. have never seen on like it before.

On the other chair are two cast iron toys,
an old pocket dictionary, a little typewriter pencil sharpener, and a little box of cards.
(Have not checked out what kind yet) =)
I like a mystery.

a close up of the cards....
anyone know anything about them??

Here is a totally rusty and cool old camp stove, oven thingy.

Here is the inside. Will be so cute for display.

One can never have too many rusty old bird cages.....
And this one has such a cute pattern on the plastic.

 Here are some other treasures:
Old washboard, brass scale, and 2 leaded glass cupboard doors.
These are really nice leaded glass, and heavy,
but I think I will paint the oak black, and scruff it up some.
It is just to newish looking for me.
What would you do with them??

Here is a close up of the old nail bag from the last pic.

And here is the inside, all divided up into pockets for assorted nails.
Hmmm. What can we sue it for???

Have a great week everyone.

Kitchen Kaboodle and Camera too

change to differnt date before posting
Here is a "new" kitchen gadget at the store.
Took me awhile just to figure out what it was.
I had it upside down here.
Wouldn't it be a cute little pot holder this way??
(Or maybe two bird nests??)

It folds flat. What a handy little gadget.
Here it is right side up.
I think it may be a french fry cutter.
But, it's from England.
Do they make French fries there??
Top view. Interesting and versatile piece, don't you think?
And here is my "new" movie camera.
Sweet, huh??

This is the slim version with convenient carry handle on top.
Can you believe this used to be the small movie camera?
Amazing how they have made things smaller and smaller.

Thanks for coming by.

Inspired... and Finished

What inspires me?
Unusual finds,
like this partly done violin.

or a box of old books....

old cameras, and type set, and scissors.
And new ideas:
Here is an old toaster.
And below is jewelry I put on vintage looking tags.
(vintage jewelry inspires me too)

Can you see what these pieces are displayed on?

Yep. The toaster. So fun!!

And don't you just love these earrings??
If I were a little bolder I would wear these myself!
(I have some lovely ladies who frequent my
store that they would look gorgeous on!)

I found these three tiny coin purses two weeks ago.
The biggest one is about 2 1/2" across.
So, what do you do with tiny coin purses??
Yep! You put a nest in 'em.

Here is the first one done.
Others to come.
close up.

back of it.
Definitely old and used,
but still perfect for a bird's nestie home.

And here is another nest on a spoon easel.

Those are things that inspire me,
and things I have finished this week.
Felt god to get a bit of creating done.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend.
Please take time to visit these places and
see what all they have for you.
