Bits of White

I bought a box of dolls a couple of weeks ago,

Sharing this one today, cause she is in lighter colored clothes.

Most appropriate for Blissful Whites Wednesday.

  And here is part of my collection of buttons.

These are mostly old, and 1 1/4- 1 1/2 inches in size.

A bit of rearranging in the cottage room...

Just love all the different shades of white and cream together.

  cool old pincushion....

a few more bits and pieces.

and an old tea pot and bowl.

Love how they age, all crackly.

Sewing Treasures

I showed you this sewing box find yesterday.....

so today we will take a closer look.

 spools of thread..as you would expect....

 some other little goodies...

an odd pin, some embroidery thread, and...

anyone know what those little spools of various threads are?

for travel maybe???

 buttons......1 card of black buttons.

 very old buttons.

 When is the last time you saw any for .08??

 and this is one of my fave parts....old needle holder packs.

This old Thriftway was made in Germany......

and this sweet one with the kiddies made in Japan.

There were 2 of these in the box...

 

and this one has every single needle and the needle threader!!

It is like new!!

So excited to have found these.

Well, that is my bits of pieces of red for Rednesday.

 A few more fun finds from our vacation 3 weeks ago.....

LOVE these huge buttons.....

 7 of them. Up for grabs.....

I think this is a humidor... used for storing tobacco?

I thought it would be a perfect little sewing cabinet.

a pin cushion here....

 sewing notions inside...maybe in a little basket..

What do you think??

Paint it white??? Leave it brown....black???

 Here is an advertising letter openeer.

Could not find out anything about it on the internet.

That means either very rare.... or very common.
