Baby Shoes and Doll Dresses

My new doll.
Mega fun shopping the other day.
This gal was selling her doll things.
28 Rubbermaid bins of clothes!!
So I got this little sweetie....

(She'll be really cute with a little hat.)
29 little doll dresses.
(of course none of them fit my doll) =/

click on pics to see better.

a little slip.
What do you call these?

More sweet little dresses.
Some to alter, some to frame.

And baby shoes!
She had LOTS of baby (and doll) shoes.
Two of those bins full!
So I picked out a few pair.

19 pair and some odd ones!

Some to alter, some just to enjoy.

And these. No, not white.
But maybe that is what makes them so special.

Please join Kathleen and all the gals showing off their white.

New Doll Baby Bed and an Idea!

I showed you this little guy yesterday...
And made sure you knew he was not going
to sleep on that pink bed.

So today I thought I would show you
my Second Time Around Bed.

This bed is 40 years old, and has been taken such good care of.
The linens were hand made by the girl who had it.
And that little baby blanket hand crocheted.

And look at the decals on it!
So precious.

Don't you just love this little lamby??
~~~~~~~~~~
Three or More Strings of Lights,
and thinking outside the box again.
I bought these strings of lights last year to put on the store,
but of course never got it done.
They were in a bag to go to the donation center for awhile.
I finally just decided to throw them away.......
(What was i thinking??)
I put them in the garbage can.
Garbage day the next day.
Then......
LIGHT BULB MOMENT!!!
I took them out of the garbage,
( they were just sitting there on the top of the bag in the can) =)
took the string of lights out of them,
and now going to use them for tea light candles!!!
Whew! And I almost threw them away!
Hope you all have a blessed day.
And remember, to think out side the box!!
Blessings
Makin' Shelves, the easy way, and a question
This is an upside down hose hanger.
Add a board, and you have....
a shelf.
Sometimes you just have to think out of the box.
(click to see it better)
And here is a wall sconce.
Use two of them...
add a board.....
another shelf!!
How quick and simple is that?
nothing on it yet. ran out of time.
Here is my fave find for this weekend.
I bought a cute vintage doll bed, and this sweet little guy.
The doll was separate.
(like you could not tell. no pink beds for my little guy).
His clothes were hand made by the little girl who owned the doll,
when she was 8.
So fun to talk to her and her Mom.
Sad, I thought, to be selling him, and her other dolls,
but they had to size down to move.
She has kept it all in wonderful condition.
(he even has little brown socks.
I'll need to find shoes for him.)
Look at the detail on his little hand
(he lost the pinky on his other hand. I did not ask how.)
And don't you just love that sweet face?
He is my first boy doll.
And here is his new home at the shop.
Don't expect he'll last long.
Joining these great hostesses today.
Hope you will go check them out.
OH. My question.
How would you make a pair of new
white metal shelf brackets look old?
thanks
