K-r-oningsQuilt en andere quiltige zaken..... The King's Quilt and other quilty affairs.....

Hier hangt eindelijk de K-r-oningsQuilt aan de lijn!

De bies zit er net aan en dan ook meteen maar even in de wasmachine en de droger.

En dan als laatste even uitwaaien in de tuin.

Dat kan ook bijna niet anders met het prachtige weer hier; 22 graden C; heerlijk!

Here is finally the King's Quilt hanging outside!

The binding is finished and she came right out the washingmachine and  dryer.

And now getting a breeze in the garden.

The weather is perfect for it; 22 degrees C; great!

Ik vind het altijd leuk om de naam, datum en mijn afkortingen op de achterkant te borduren, ipv een label.

I like to embroider the name, date and my initials on the back; instead of a label.

En natuurlijk maar snel verder met het volgende project wat af moet.

De laatste drie blokjes van de Sweet William.

Dat wordt ook een pracht quilt, met al die mandenblokjes!

En deze wil ik graag met de hand doorquilten; ik mis gewoon het handquilten!

Dus snel afmaken maar....  ;)

And ofcourse on to the next project I want to finish.

This is also going to be a beautiful quilt, with all those lovely basketblocks!

And I would love to quilt this one by hand; I just miss handquilting!

So on to a quick finish....  ;)

prachtige theeroos in de voortuin...... en geuren!! Heerlijk!!

Hoe snel de tijd kan gaan...... How quickly time flies by......

en hoe bezig je dan kunt zijn met heel veel dingen, he?!
and how busy one can be with so many different things, he?!

De afgelopen weken heb ik echt van alles in mijn handen gehad en weet je...... het is allemaal leuk om te doen!   ;)
These last few weeks a many projects came threw my hands and you know..... they are all so much fun!  ;)

Bijvoorbeeld de Love Entwined Quilt (klik).
Ons huiswerk van de laatste maanden is wel heel veel, zodat het mij niet meer lukt om bij te blijven, maar dat drukt de pret niet, hoor!
Het is een plaatje van een quilt en een plezierige uitdaging om eraan te werken.
For instance the Love Entwined Quilt (click). 
Our homework these last few months was extensive, so it's impossible for me to keep up, but that doesn't matter a bit!
It's a gorgeous quilt and such an enjoyable challege to work on.

En ook de kleine sterretjes-lap is gegroeid met twee rijen. 

Toch zou het leuk zijn als het nog wat groter wordt; ik houd nu één keer van grotere quilts...... :)

Het is dus nog een poosje een UFO...

Also the little stars have grown with two rows.

It would be fun to see it grow a bit bigger; I just love bigger quilts.....  :)

So it will be a UFO for a while....

Oh.... EEEENNNNNN:

de Sister's Choice Quilt (alias de KoningsQuilt)  is helemaal doorgepit op mijn machinale quiiltframe..... Joepie!!!!

Dat vind ik echt een succes!

Wat ben ik blij met het frame!!!!!  :D

Oh...... AAAANNNNNNDDDDD:

the Sister's Choice Quilt (alias: the King's Quilt) is completely quilted on my machinequiltframe.....

Great!!!!!

It's such a succes!

And I'm so happy with my frame!!!!!!!  :D

En natuurlijk even iets dichterbij...

And ofcourse a bit closer....

En natuurlijk wilde ik ook graag meedoen aan de Crochet Along van Tertia en Jolanda (klik).
Hier is één van de dekens, want ik wil er natuurlijk ook één maken voor de dochters..... dat snappen alle moeders wel, he?!
And I also loved to join the Crochet Along by Tertia and Jolanda (click).
Here is one of the blankets, ofcourse I also wanted to make one for my daughters..... all you mothers understand, huh?! 

Zo kleurig..... en zo leuk!!

So colourful... and such great fun!!

Dus jullie zien dat ik me niet verveel en ik wil echt graag vaker een verhaaltje te schrijven....

So you see I'm not sitting doing nothing and I would love to right a posts more often....

Van Love Entwined en Oranje....... About Love Entwined and Orange.......

Bijna klaar met deel 3 van Love Entwined (BOM van Esther Aliu)...... :)

Wat een gezellig werkje!

Almost finished with part 3 of Love Entwined (BOM by Esther Aliu)......  :)

En hier is het blad met bloemen waar nog kleine dotjes opmoeten.

Op elk blad horen 6 dotjes.

Dat lijkt veel werk, maar door de Apliquick-staafjes (klik) te gebruiken, ben je er ook nog eens zo mee klaar.

Wat vind ik die staafjes toch een uitkomst...!

Here the leaves with flowers, where I still have to attache the dots.

Each leave has 6 dots.

That seems a lot of work, but  because I use the Apliquick -tools (click), it's not that much work anymore.

Wat een kleine rondjes, he? 

Ze zijn ongeveer 8mm; en nu heb ik ze binnen twee minuten rond en gemaakt....  ;)

Op de Open dag bij Quiltpalace (klik) was het zo leuk om dit iedereen uit te leggen en te zien hoe men enthousiast over de staafjes werd....!

Tiny circles, aren't they?

They are approximately 5/8" ; and now I can make them neatly round in less than 2 minutes.....  ;)

At the Open Day at Quiltpalace (click) it was so great to explain this to others and to see how people became enthusiastic about these tools...!

Natuurlijk doe ik tussendoor ook nog wel eens iets anders....

Het is vooral leuk om ook nog iets snels te doen met al die oude naaimachientjes....

Dus de "Janny" (Singer 306) heeft haar best gedaan op de Sister's Choice blokken, met de oranje sterpuntjes.

Het oranje verwijst naar het Huis van Oranje.

Ik ben de quilt begonnen toen prins Willem-Alexander Koning der Nederlanden werd.

Ofcourse I like to do something else in between....

And it is so much fun to do something fast with all the old sewing machines....

So the "Janny" (Singer 306) did her best on the Sister's Choice blocks, with orange star-points.

The orange is a reference to the House of Orange.

I started the quilt when prince Willem Alexander beame King of the Netherlands.

En voor de achterkant heb ik een prachtige bijpassende Appeltjes van Oranje gekocht!

Leuk, he?!  ;)

And for the back I bought a great Apples of Orange!

Isn't it fun?!  ;)

("Apples of Orange" is a Dutch song for the Royal Family, and refers to oranges and their colour).

Ik heb zin om haar in elkaar te zetten!

I just love to put her together!

Dat is alles even voor nu!

Een impressie....... An impression........

van waar ik de laatste tijd mee bezig ben geweest.......
Zelfs zoveel (naast andere dingen) dat ik niet aan bloggen toekwam. Sorry,allemaal!

It was so consuming (among other things) that I didn't had time to write a blogpost. Sorry, all!

En natuurlijk wat nieuws uitgeprobeerd; kleine pine-apple blokjes (5 inch- afgewerkte maat).

And ofcourse had to try something new; little pine-apple blocks (5 inch -complete size).

De Janny, die ondertussen heerlijk klinkt en naait; aan het werk aan de Sister's Choice blokken (te vinden op de free-pattern tab op Bonnie Hunter's Quiltvilleblog -klik).

Natuurlijk moet ik niet vergeten te melden dat de "tuin" bijna helemaal doorgequilt is!! ;0)

Ofcourse I mustn't forget to tell you that the "garden" is almost completely quilted!! ;0)
