Baby Boy

Baby Boy - Time for a new challenge at Crafts 4 Eternity and Alphabet Challenge Blog.

Our challenge at Crafts 4 Eternity is a sketch.

The challenge at Alphabet Challenge Blog is M for masculine! I used the sketch to make a page for my grandson Jace's, scrap book. I am embarrassed to admit that Jace is already 4 years old and I am just now getting to his album. I just enjoy coloring with my Copic's so much that I tend to make more cards than pages.

My paper is Recollections and the border was already on the paper, so it made for a quick page.

The studded ribbon was on a roll.

Here is a close - up that sweet little face.

Inara

Inara - This is my new granddaughter Inara. I made this page of her using the sketch for Crafts 4 Eternity. I made a page with the sketch, but you can make a card or another craft using the sketch to enter our challenge.

Isn't the sketch a great one! So easy to use. I flipped it.

I don't know which company made the papers. They were whole sheets, but they have been in my stash for I don't know how long. who

Inara is such a doll in this photo of her in a tutu. Her daddy says she has old lady feet. Wasn't it nice of him to say that I have the feet of a baby?

My punch is a MS. The flower is the scrap of a trim that I fashioned in a flower. I added gemstones to the center of the trim flower and the flowers in the border.

I used 3-D Stamp Paint on the edge of the paper. IRL it sparkles.

We are sponsored by Crafts 4 Eternity and one lucky winner will win 3 digi stamps from Crafts 4 Eternity.

Tongue

Tongue - The star of this scrapbook page is my sweet granddaughter Kaylee. When I seen the below sketch for Crafts 4 Eternity, it just called to me to do a page with it, instead of the usual card.

Designer Paper by DCWV, Christmas Made. Only the snowflakes were not part of the paper.

Crafts 4 Eternity sketch!

Don't you just love the tongue?

The snowflakes were cut with SB dies on kraft card stock. I layered them with foam tape and added a red gemstone to the top of them.

I inked all papers with distress ink. I believe I used Vintage Photo.

Red/Black Page

Red/Black Page - It is time for another Crafts 4 Eternity challenge. This week is everyone's favorite challenge.....Anything Goes!

For my project, I made a scrap book page. I have a group of ladies that I get together with each Wednesday to craft with. We always make cards and little gifts for each other. My gift to them was this scrap book page, that we can all use to put our group photo in.

One of the ladies really likes red and black together, so this page is for you, Kay!

I started with black card stock and then used a MS punch around the page set on glittery hound tooth paper.

My next layer was red card stock cut with my Cricut, using the Gypsy Wandering cartridge. My next layer was a giant snowflake paper.

For the photo mat, I used the glitter hounds tooth and more red and black card stock.

My embellishment is a feather and a tulle/pearl wire. I then used black card stock, silver foil and white glitter paper to make the snowflake with a SB.

I popped up the layers of the snowflake, with pop dots.

I used a flower strip of bling and a MB snowflake die.

Simon Says Stamp Bling - I know that all of the glitter is hard to see, especially on the hounds tooth paper, but it is there.

I am

I am - It is time for another challenge at Creative Card Crew and I thought I would do a page this time; as we are sponsored by the Scrapping Center!

My designer papers are K and Company's Small Wonders.

This page I made for my grandsons baby books. That's right, these 2 cuties are my grandson. The oldest is Jace and he just turned 3 and his younger brother is Cal. Cal just turned 1.

The balloons were cut with my trusty Cricut and CM Storks Delivery cartridge. I added some lime bakers twine and the stickers are CM.

This ruffle is made of paper and not ribbon. It took a lot of time to hand pleat it, but I really like it. I took a lot of teasing at the scrap booking retreat where I made this at. I only got this and it's companion page times 2, done the entire week-end.

I had moved from Dallas to Oklahoma City about a year and a half earlier and it was last minute that I went, so not only was I not very organized for the retreat, I was so happy to see my old friends and was running around chatting with everyone. I also had the longest drive of anyone there and was very tired upon my arrival.

I added some sparkly highlights on the fish and snail on the upper border, but it is hard to see in the photos.

Craft Us Crazy #37 Favorites - These 2 cuties are definetly favorites of mine. But then again, so are my other 4 grandchildren!

Wise Men

Wise Men - Today's challenge at Crafts 4 Eternity is to use the colors from the photo inspiration.
I picked up a new Cricut cartridge at Micheal's black Friday sale (actually, I picked up 2) and I thought it would make up  pretty with the colors.

My DP is K and Company's Evergreen.

The first cartridge that I picked up was Quilted Christmas. I used the 3 wisemen from it. I cut them at 5 1/2 inch. I distressed with with Tea Dye and Vintage Photo distress inks.

On the wise man dressed in yellows, I added some trim to his sleeve.

On the one dressed in reds, I added gemstones to his gift.

For the wise man dressed in greens, I added pearls using my pearl pen on his gift.

The North Star was created using my other Black Friday sale cartridge, which is the ribbon and Rosetta cartridge. The rosetta is the one that is a fence. It took 4 of them to make it. I then added a gemstone star to the center.
The tag is a Crafts 4 Eternity digi. I love the distressed shape of this tag. I printed it on gold paper and hand cut it. The font is so pretty.

My ribbon was tied using my Bow Easy and I added a stick pin to the bow.

The photo is my family from last year. My son was missing; as he was in Afghanistan  We are very pleased that he will be able to be in the family photo this year.

Group Photo

Group Photo - Today's post is about the page that I designed for my crop group. This group of ladies have met together every Wednesday for more that 10 years to craft together. I feel very privilaged to have such a caring and talented group of friends.

For Christmas, we have a little party and take a group photo. This year I designed the page for that photo. Our party activity is to make the page for that special photo.

Unfortunitly, it did not photo graph to well. The lights bleached out the colors a lot. In real life the colors are rich with a lot of depth to them.

My base paper is Creative Imaginations. I topped it with a piece of red cardstock, then added 6 snowflakes that were cut with my Cricut and the Basic Cake cartridge. I added clear gemstones to the center of each snowflake.

I used a petaloo flower and cut silver vellum with a CL holly die. The red glittery wire was wrapped around a thin stick Skewer.

For the poinsettia spray, I used the CL holly vine again. The poinsettias were cut with a SB die, then inked with Peeled Paint distress inks. I shaped and stacked them. The centers were made with a kiwi, Viva Decor pearl pens.

I added a couple more of the sparkly wires here, as well.

I finished off the page with a line of gemstone trim and the year cut from my Cricut using the Elegant Cake font. I added a few gemstones to add more bling.

Haunting

Haunting - Seems a Little Sketchy has another scrap book page sketch challenge. I just got back from Disney World with my 2 daughters and their 5 boys, so I have a lot of scrap booking to do.

I thought it would be fun to make the photos for the haunted mansion kind of spooky. Disney had added this really fun, interactive area to the Haunted mansion Que. The boys loved it. The piano plays even though it is made of stone. The books shelfs were really enjoyed by the 3 year old. When you pushed in book another popped it. It keep the boys entertained. He fact, they were having such a good time, that we had to keep telling them to move up with us. They wanted to stay in the line and play..

Here is the sketch. It is so sunny and bright. A very cheerful and awesome sketch to work with.

My papers are MME, Mischievous. It is really fun designs. The title is cut using my Cricut, Happy Haunting cartridge. The glittery bat is Recollections.. The tree and haunted house are also cut with the Cricut and Happy Hauntings. I added some details on the house with a black glitter pen.

My flower is Petalloo. the fringed tissue paper is MF. I made the stick pin with beads. I love adding stick pins to my projects!

We are still floating the idea and your participation is vital if you want this type of challenge to continue. So come on and join us at Seems a Little Sketchy!

Star Power

Star Power - Seems a little Sketchy is trying an extra challenge with this being just for Scrap booking pages.

This sketch just screamed Disney to me. I will be taking my grandchildren to Disney World soon, so I was very happy to get a head start on my pages. I am doing them all times 4, so that I will have an album for the boys as well.

Here is the sketch, what does it scream to you? Use our sketch and come post it, so I can see what you do with it! My team mates had a very different take on it. Check out their  here.

Most of my papers are by Creative Imaginations. The dotted paper in the stars are Paper Studio. The Disney buttons I got at the scrap booking  convention. I used bakers twine in the centers.

I embossed the stars with a CB folder.

The Disney icon and the stars were cut with my Cricut using the Mickey and Friends and Mickey font cartridges.

I have had the Disney brads in my stash for quite a while.

The photo mats are presized for the 2 sizes of photos that I use most; 5x7 and 3 1/2 x 5.

Home Sweet Home

Home Sweet Home - It is time for another challenge at Alphabet Challenge Blog. This fortnight our Letter is H for Handmade flowers.

The photo is of my new house shortly before it was finished. It is hard to believe that I have already lived in it for a year. The adorable little boy is my grandson Tyler standing in front. At first he liked going to see the construction, but towards the end he was not as impressed. He liked it best when it was dirt and a concrete slab. LOL

For my page, I started with a sheet of paper from my favorite paper company K and Company. This was from the Nature pad. The border is SB Fleur De Lis Doily Accents, which was then inked with Forest Moss distress inks. I added little pearls made from my Salmon Viva Decor pearl pen. I found that it was best to form them on a mat and then glue them on the cardstock. On some papers/mats they flatten out. Now that I have found the perfect mat, I form all of mine this way. I had to throw away so many. What is the mat that I use? I use a bright pink one that is for hot glue that I ordered from HSN. I don't get much from there, but a friend pointed it out to me and it has been the best kit. It has finger protectors; so I no longer burn myself on the hot glue gun. Yea!

The letters were made with my Cricut machine using the Elegant Cakes Cartridge. I really like the font on it.

The image is Heartfelt Creations Chateau Gateway. It is a lovely image, but it was huge; so I only used a portion of it. I colored it with Copics. Wood is one of my favorite things to color with Copic's.

My flowers are Heartfelt Creations Vintage Wildflower. They have a matching SB's that cuts the flowers. I Glimmer Misted and shaped the  flowers. I used more of the Viva Decor pearls in the centers. In the larger flower, I used a brad. I also used SB leaves and inked and shaped them.

The green pearls are from a pearl garland that I picked up in the Seasonal shop at Hobby Lobby.

I made the semi-finals for Heartfelt Creations and this is what I made for the final part of the try-outs. I did not make the team. Thank you to everyone who voted for me.
