Frankie

Frankie - Today's card is my Design team card for Seems a Little Sketchy. We are sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps. Jody always comes up with the cutest images.

Here is Jenn's sketch. It is a simple one, but oh, so cute. Just like the image!

I actually made 8 of these, so that I could give them to my friends that I craft with every Wednesday. They have been getting together on Wednesdays for over 10 years. Due to my moving around, I met them shortly before I moved away for 5 years and I returned a little over a year ago. I really missed this sweet group of talented ladies and am so glad that now that my husband has retired, I never have to leave this awesome group again.

The image is Frankie Peekers. I colored Frankie with my Copics and used my air brush for the purple background.

My papers are from a seasonal blog by The Paper Studio. The frame was cut with my Cricut and the Happy Haunting cartridge. I cut the raven with black glitter paper.

The glittery bat is Recollections.

Come and get sketchy with us at Seems a Little Sketchy. It is a fortnightly challenge, so it is great for those design team people who want to work a little ahead. As Seems a Little Sketchy is fairly unknown, not many people enter, so that means you have a greater chance of winning.

Skull Hair-Ties - The challenge at One Stop Craft Challenge this week is.... Halloween. Easy for this time of year.

We are sponsored by Kenny K. Kenny K has the most fabulous images that are so suburban and trendy. His images are always so fun to color.

My papers are Pink Paisley Hocus Pocus.

I colored Gothik Angelz - Wanda Wicked with Copics and then used a white Sharpie poster paint pen to add hi-lights.The image was cut with a SB and inked with distress inks.

My swirl is a MD die. the flowers are a combination of several different ones that I had in my stash.

The sentiment is SU and both punches are also SU. I inked with Vintage Photo distress ink. I added pearls that I had made with my Salmon pearl pen.

I finished the card off with brown baker's twine.

Broom Ha Ha

Broom Ha Ha - At Alphabet Challenge Blog, we are up to S and S is for...... Spooky!

My project for this challenge is a sucker all dressed up in it's Halloween costume as a broom.

The broom is a very easy to do craft. I read about it here.

I used card stock for my brooms and a SB die. The sentiment is heat embossed in black. I free hand cut the sentiment and the border card stock. I used some jute to tie the sentiment on with.

The handle is colored with a Copic.

Venom

Venom - Can you believe we are up to P at Alphabet Challenge Blog? Can you guess by my "card" what the P is for? P is for pocket, did you guess it?

My DP is a combination of papers. The 2 back papers are Cloud 9, Harvest Holiday. The DP on the pocket is Pink Paislee Hocus Pocus.

I roughed up the papers with my Tim Holtz distressing tool.

I finally found some cheese cloth and I like the webby feel to it for a Halloween project. I added a pair of spider earrings as a gift for my daughter.

The pocket is stamped with Spider Venom in memento ink. The raven and cage is heat embossed with black embossing powder. Both stamps are Pink Paislee's Phantom 24.

I finished off the card with a Hersheys bar in the pocket.

Sweet Witch

Sweet Witch - Halloween is right around the corner and the challenge this fortnight at Craft Your LinkDays Away is Halloween colors - Green, purple, orange and black. We are sponsored by the fabulous Simon Says Stamp. They have the most delightful products. Such a wide range of crafting supplies. You have got to see all that they carry!
For my card, I used Ching-chou Kuik, Pick a pumpkin by Sweet Pea Stamps. I adore these images. I think they have cast a spell on me; as I love them so much.

My image is colored with Copics and I added some Stickles to her bodice, the cat's wings and the bow on the cat's tail.

This was a scrap of DP from my scrap drawers and the company logo is long gone, so I have no idea as to who made it. The spiders are flocked. So they feel really cool. I used a MS punch on the border and one of the butterflies that I picked up at the scrapbooking convention. I added some black gemstones to the border, to add a little sparkle. I used my wonderful Bow Easy to tie the bow.

Moon Dreamer

Moon Dreamer - Today's challenge at Sew Many Challenges is eyelets. I nice, easy challenge.
For my card, I used Tayla Looking at Moon. You can get this image here. I love how it is just him and a pumpkin gazing at the wonder of a full moon. This makes me think of my husband, who is in Iraq. He is an avid night sky gazer. Which seems really odd; as he usually goes to bed quite early. LOL

My DP is Alleghany by K and Company. My image is colored with Copics.
This week we have an additional sponsor and that is the fabulous Whimsie Doodles. They gave us some images to play with. I used the Have a seat set. I chose to use just this chair and sentiment image, but they have included all kinds of little things that can be added, such as an end table and a pitcher of lemonade.
My DP is Deja View's Timeless. and I used a Spellbinders, Fleur De Lis Accents. It reminds me of a picture on the wall.

I so enjoyed coloring this image. It was all about adding depth. This would also be a great image to paper piece.

For my last card, I used this week's dollar deal, Butterfly Ribbon.

My DP is K and Company's Berry Sweet. I fussy cut the image, then shaped a little with an embossing tool and added wire to give the butterfly some antennas. The black cardstock was embossed with a CB folder and I added some black pearls with my Viva Decor pearl pen.

For this card, like most of my cards, I dig through my scraps first. I have a little trick that I do with my scraps to share with you. I tape a strip of paper to the inside back of my paper pads, making a pocket. I then store all my scraps for that pad in the pocket. I now have all of my coordanating paper together and I can look through there first, instead of cutting a new sheet of paper. It also helps me to be able to name the paper brand on my posts.

Germs are Scary

Germs are Scary-I made these adorable holders for the little bottles of hand sanitizers from Bath and Body works. They had several different kinds of sanitizers that were so fun. My favorite is the Vampire blood. It is clear red with little black beads in it. Below is the bottle without a holder.
I made these for the moms in my daughters play group. All mothers with small children know how scary germs can be, and I thought they would enjoy these.

As much as I would like to take credit for the holders, I first seen this here. Dawn is so cute in her tapes. I love her sign off, as well as her cute giggle.
I used Tim Holtz Rosetta maker to make the little flowers. I heat embossed with a glitter black embossing powder the little Frankenstein heads and fussy cut them. The little sentiment was cut with Tim Holtz tattered banner and again I heat embossed the sentiment. Both images are Studio G, but are from different packs. I distressed everything and bent up the sentiment banners. I used some little black gemstones in the corner.

The first batch I used the smaller Rosetta's on and the second batch I used the larger Rosetta's. I think I like the smaller Rosetta's best. I also used different ribbons as handles on each batch.
This is my DT project for this fortnights challenge of Spooky Fun at Creative Card Crew. We are sponsored by the awesome Simon Says Stamp. They are a wonderful sponsor and have some fun stuff in their shop.

Creative Card Crew is looking for new designers. If you are interested, enter our Spooky Fun challenge at Creative Card Crew and put DT after your name.

Webbed Fun

Webbed Fun - This weeks challenge at Sew Many Challenges is Halloween. I love Halloween. It is so much fun.

For my card, I used Sew Many Cards Eris making spider web. Isn't it a cute image? I love the spider.

My DP is from Target's dollar spot last year. My punch is MS punch around the page web set. I used some orange raffia and tied it with my Bow Easy. There are 4 buttons, one in each corner.

My image was colored with Copics, and I used some Stickles on the spider and around the edge of the image. I also used my Sukara pen on the web. It is hard to see in the photo, but in real life it glisten like a real web.
For my second card, I use the dollar deal; which is this package image. What I like about this image is that it can be used for any occasion. I have used it to be a Christmas package, but it could be a wedding, birthday, or just because.

My DP is The Paper Studio Magic of the Season pad. Image was colored with Copics and I used some Stickles on the the dots. Viva Decor pearl pen to make the black pearls. I used a MS punch and a pearl spray. The sentiment is Dream Weavers, cut with Spellbinders.
