Braided Birds

Braided Birds - One Stop Craft Challenge is starting a new challenge today and the new challenge is Sparkle and Bling. Woo Hoo, one of my favorites!

Our sponsor this challenge is A Day for Daisies. If you are not familar with them, then you have got to go and check out the rest of their images. They are gorgeous!!!

I used Braid in my hair. I really enjoyed coloring her with my Copic's. She is beautiful and such a unique angle. Hair is always so fun to color. It makes me think of Cinderella with the animals helping her to get ready for the ball. I added Stickles to the birds. D

My DP is Pressed Petals, Baby Boy. I have a lot of grandsons, no granddaughters yet : (, so I buy a lot of blue papers. LOL Everything was inked with Peacock Feathers distress ink.

The rose ribbon was colored with the same Peacock Feathers distress ink and a blending tool. After it was inked, I added gemstones to the centers of the roses.

Come and show us your sparkle and bling at One Stop Craft Challenge.

Bloomin Blue

Bloomin Blue - I am thrilled to be Mays' guest designer for Corrosive Challenges. Corrosive Challenges is sponsored this month by Tickled Pink Stamps. Come back in 2 weeks and see what I did with one of their fabulous images!

The challenge this fortnight is Flowers, Bling and Doilies. Perfect for Mother's Day! I want to wish all the Mother's out there a big Happy Mothers! Blue is my mother's favorite color! I know she will love this card.

For my card I used Hot Off the Press's Sapphire DP. I have cherished this little paper pad. The papeers are all blue in different shades. The paper is really pretty and as it is only blues, it is so easy to use.
My image is Designed to Delight. This image was a homework assignment for my Copic's class. We were learning how to color copper. I like how real it looks. The trick is a high contrast as metals are shiny.

I cut the image and scalloped circle with a SB and added little gemstones to the center of the flowers for my bling. My doilie is from the cake decorating area of Walmart.

I finished the card off with 3 little gems to the bottom left corner.
