Stamp - Bring on the Cake

For todays card I brought out the water colors.  First I created a simple  background using Kuratake WaterColors.  Then I stamped the Birthday Cake Layers with Tim Holtz distress inks and sprayed them with a little water using a mini mister and stamped them onto the water color paper. That's what gives it the wonky lines. If you were to stamp these images onto regular paper and not add the water, you would get a nice crisp line! But that wasn't what I was going for!

Again, I went simple on this card with the help of the It's a Celebration Paper Pad! It has make me into a  quick card written all over it.  So I colored up my kitty from Smitten Kitten, added a little foam to the back and adhered it to the kitty bed.  Used paper from the It's a celebration Paper pad and Voila....done!

Good morning!! It's Sweet 2 Repeat time at SugarPea designs. Our awesome team of designers are gearing up to give you a little repeat of the latest release at SPD! 

 

I created a easy watercolor background for my FunkyWreath.  I stamped the Funky Wreath All Seasons onto my cardstock and then cut it out with the Funky Wreath All Seasons Sugarcut. I then layered it onto the background.  Next I stamped our flowers using the Funky Wreath Spring Addition stamp set. I cut all of the flowers using the Funky Wreath Spring Sugarcut. I layered it all using some sugarpuff foam to give it some dimension and then finished it off with some Fairy Lights Sparkly Shaker Selection Sequins

Good morning.  So I was perusing my blog today and discovered that I didn't post a card from a couple of weeks ago!  Yikes. 2nd time that has recently happened to me.  I tend to work far ahead with my DT duties and normally, I will upload and schedule my cards so I don't have to remember to do it!  Well....yea...either I didn't hit the schedule or who knows what happened.

However, I LOVE this card and LOVE this image from SugarPea Designs...so I figured better late than never!!

Thanks a Latte

Good morning! How about a little Monday inspiration from SugarPea designs? 

I had a lot of fun dabbing some ink onto the paper to create this cool background for my coffee!  I also cut the thanks a latte from the SugarPuff Foam for some added dimension. I cut out to latte's and used the A from it to get my saying.

Good morning!! I hope everybody had a great weekend!!  Mine was pretty darn good, but short. They are always short.  Wishing I was at home today but alas, I have to make some money!


Did you get to check out all the new goodies from SugarPea Designs last week for release week??  Lots of cuteness I tell you!


Today I used Whatever the Weather SugarCuts to create my card and Whatever the Weather Stamp Set for the sentiment.  The rainbow stripes in the back are from the....you guessed it...Whatever the Weather Paper Pad.







I also did a little watercolor  background.  A fellow stamper, Anita Madden, gave me a cool tip. She tapes her paper down with painters tape and then watercolors. Hits it with a dryer. Then takes the tape off carefully (so you don't tear the paper). This helps from the paper getting all rippled or wonky.  It worked really well.  So I just wet my paper, added some distress inks with a paint brush, dried it, then added some more ink, dried it...and done!
