Be Fabulous! Do you want me to send you Happy Mail?

Good Morning,

This is one of Lily Chilvers Octopode Factory SteamPunk stamps.  She is such an amazing artist.  I adore her style.

This was another 4 x 4 card made to send out in snail mail land, and end up in someones mailbox.  I love sending happy mail.  Don't you?

If you want me to send you some Happy Mail please let me know.  Leave me your contact information and I will get your address and send you some!

How fun is that?  No strings attached.

Happy Krafting!
Hugs,
Tanya

Does it?

Good Morning,

I was playing along with my inner craft circle, and was prompted to make something square.  I adore 4 x 4 cards.  Thus the above was created.

I wanted to cheer myself up, so I used this funny sentiment, along with other Eat Cake Graphic Stamps.

Eat Cake Graphics stamps used:
1123-I Gwendaline’s ready for sun
1125-L Jimmie’s in charge of the hose
7024-G Ms. Sunshine
8106-D Watched pool (text)
9039-E Swimming pool

I hope the recipient of this card feels it's warmth, and has a good laugh.

Happy Krafting,
Hugs,
Tanya

The World to Me

Good Morning!

Here is the Birthday card I made for my daughter's 8th Birthday.  I chose to use the amazing
Eat Cake Graphics 8033-K To the world (scene) stamp.
I just love the sentiment. Both my daughters are the world to me, they are such gifts, on loan to us, until they fly out of the nest, to find their own place in life.

I used my copic markers to color it in, and then took my blender solution, dabbed it on my fluffy cloth (an old fluffy sock that had lost it's mate) and created the sky texture.  This technique has to be one of my favorites!

I used my favorite papers as well.  The Sassafras Lass "Indie Girl" collection.

Hope all is well with you,
Happy Krafting,
Hugs

Thank You - Party Favor

Materials Required / Used

Eat Cake Graphics Stamps

Cardstock, Cutting board, hole punch,  Scor-pal, ribbon, markers, adhesive, lollipop

Cut your cardstock into a  6.5" x 2.5" rectangle

Score your rectangle at
1/2"
3"
3 1/2"
6"

Fold your cardstock
and punch out circles at 1.25" (center)
as seen above.

Getting the lollipop in is a bit tricky, you have to angle it in.  Make a trial one and play around with it.  I promise, it will fit in.

As you can see, the lollipop is nestled in.
You can then go about decorating the front.  I used my fun Eat Cake Graphic stamps to do just that, and stamped the words "thank you " over the journal blotch.  Theses were given out to the party goers.  An affordable and impressive party favor!  Who doesn't like those?

What's The Word, Bird.

Hello,

I have been up to my eyeballs with Back-to-school business.  So many forms to fill out! Not to mention getting the girls back into a routine.

The above is my latest ATC card using the fabulous ECG stamps.
Eat Cake Graphics stamps used:

Owls are one of my favorite things.  I had the most wonderful drives home in the winter, as I got to see the 3 snowy owls perched on the street lights.  They greeted me each night.

ATC cards are my favorite things lately.  Who knew you could put so much detail into a  2 1/2 X 3 1/2 card.  I also used a recycled Starbucks sleeve for this one.  I just LOVE the sleeves.  So many uses!

What's on your desk this week?
Do tell!

Sunshiny Day

Good Morning,

Here is my bright Sunshiny card made using Eat Cake Graphics Stamps.
Stamps Used;

This card was purposely left without sentiment.  I like having cards in my collection that can be used for a variety of occasions. I started this card by picking out the orange cardstock, then the patterned paper.  I colored the cute stamps accordingly and the rest just all seemed to fall into place.
Fairy Blossom and Ms. Sunshine happen to be 2 of my favorite stamps at the moment.

So, what are your plans for August?  What projects are you working on?  I am thinking of offering up some blog candy, what kind of things do you all like to see when someone is offering up blog candy?

Well, you will be seeing more posts soon, so until then,
Happy Krafting,
Hugs,
Tanya

Lunch Notes, Just Because

Good Morning,

Here is one of my Lunch Note cards.  It is a little 3 x 3 card that I put in my daughters lunch bag.  I love leaving little notes, randomly and just because.  I hope that it brings smiles to my daughters faces when I do this, and also creates memories for them.

I used the SOG "Believe" stamp she is so glamorous.  I did have to crop her though.

I also love the word Believe.  It is a word that inspires me to try new things, and to continue on with things, when perhaps a feeling of tediousness sets in.

This particular card reminded my youngest to Believe in Fairies.  It is a big conversation topic in our home.

What kinds of things do you like to create, "Just Because"?  By all means, please share, I love getting new ideas.

Happy Krafting,
Hugs,
Tanya

Loving Hugs

Good Morning!

I am posting this lovely card as it sure makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.  The yellow hues in this card are being sent out to Mother Nature, as a reminder that we would like our Spring to start.
Like Yesterday!

I have good news!  I will be posting more, as I have been in a very crafty space.
I have also been accepted onto the EAT CAKE GRAPHICS Design Team for the next 3- 4 months.  WOOOHOOOO!
The minute I saw the ECG stamps, I immediately came up with so many fun and quirky card ideas.  So in the near future, I will be able to show you all my creations.

What are you up to gals?  What is the weather like where you are at?

Hope you leave me some messages, I like hearing what others are doing in blog land.

Hugs,
Tanya

CJ's Birthday Card

Hello,

I have a couple of things to post, so yes you will see me in action again.   This is the card I made for my sisters 19th Birthday.  I chose the paper first, then began matching the colours with the pretty little stamp.

I really enjoy using ribbon and pins too.  This was a refreshing card, and I kept it rather simple in order to accentuate the bold colours.

Happy Krafting!

Took the time to color

Hello,

I made this card in February for my friend Dawn. I adore this paper! I really took my time coloring the picture, using pointalism to give the folliage texture. It was pretty meditative. I tried to embellish here and there, but the picture and the paper were just so bold, that I left it this way.

Have a fab day!

The Octopode Shades of Grey Prompt

Hello,

I got my Octopode Factory stamps, yippee!  I have been stuck in books lately, more specifically "The Walking Dead" comics.  This Sunday is part 2 of Season 2, so I will soon be able to get my TV fix as well.

The prompt this week at The Octopode Factory Friday Challenge is to use grey.  The comics I am reading  are black and white, I always have ripped pieces of paper keeping my spot, so working with the black and white prompt, I came up with this bookmark.  I actually made something for me, I am just so giddy too.

My girls actually like these images too, and my 7 year old wants to make 3 bookmarks for herself now.  I can't wait to see what she comes up with.  Currently she is coloring in  Lady Audrey.

Have a good night,
Hugs,
Tanya

Playing in The Sugar Bowl

Good Morning,

Yet another Birthday Card required for my daughter. I usually get them to make it themselves, but with school and homework, the weeks have just been flying by. I am playing along with The Sugar Bowl this week, using Gayle's sketch, and the Paper Piecing theme. Nothing says fun like Sassafras papers, and this adorable "Catch a Falling Star" Sugar Nellie stamp. I paper pieced her skirt and the star this time. A fun technique for sure.

I hope you are having a fabulous Monday.
Hugs,
Tanya

Glorious Greens with Gingersnap Creations

Good Morning,

A New Year, New stamps, and a New challenge. My husband bought me some wonderful Stampotique Origninals stamps for Christmas, I am just loving the Daniel Torrente and Jill Penney stamps. Stampotique has a website where you can build a wish list and have it emailed to someone. Pretty handy, my husband has a list now, I just have to keep hinting now and then, and who knows maybe I will get the occasional surprise :)

This pretty gal is named Portland, and I am playing along with Gingersnap Creations "Glorious Greens" challenge this week.  Stampotique is sponsoring them, and it would be fab to win a 30$ gift certificate.   I am going to enter this into the Simon Says "Anything Goes" challenge as well.

This was made by paper cutting and gluing them together, a fast and easy method.  I used some Tim Holtz ink around the edges and colored Portland in with my Copic markers

Hope you are having a wonderful Friday,
Hugs,
Tanya

Playing in the Sugar Bowl

Hi Guys,

The sugar bowl had an interesting sketch this week, so I thought I would give it a go. The theme is Birthdays, and since my daughter has 2 this month it was a perfect time to get a card made for her to bring along.

This is one of the adorable Sugar Nellie Stamps I purchased in 2010. Yup, and I finally got to ink her up. I am taking it slow this year, taking the time to enjoy the process and enjoying getting back to using my Copic markers. I do want to point out the fab charm, if you ever get a chance, be sure to check out Nicole de Bruin's charms on ETSY. They are superb!

It is starting to snow outside, and I must go pick up my girls, they are going to be so excited about the snow. More tobogganing, or "bogganing" as my 5 year old likes to call it.

Happy Monday,
Hugs,
Tanya

For My Daughter

Hello,

My first post in 2012. I seem to have lost my Mojo. Actually I have been enjoying time with my family, and they have not been complaining one bit.

I am staying true to my New Years Resolutions, inking up stamps and using up my paper stash. The 2 stamps above have been sitting around getting dusty, and I have been meaning to ink them up together like this for some time. Well that time is now. This SCACD stamped image looks identical to my 7 year old daughter, horse collection and all. Thus this card will be given to her, just because. And of course she will squeal and hug me, because that is what she does when I give her one of my creations. Yes, she certainly is good for boosting my moral.

On a sad note,  PWCO has closed shop.  Being on the PWCO design team made my list of  2011 most memorable moments. I will certainly miss the whimsical stamps, the Anything But A Card posts, the fun blog hops and stamp releases.  Thanks Peggy, and thank you to all the DT gals, especially the fabulous DT coordinator Stephanie, I hope we all keep in touch.

Hugs,
Tanya

A Pixie Cottage Creation and a Blog Hop Winner

The Pixie Cottage's Challenge #101 has a "Somebody Special" theme and is open for submissions during the next two weeks.  I always make my daughters there own personal card at Christmas and they are both Super special to me.  I used  "Sebastian The Snowman"  from Michelle's Scrapbooking and More, for my card.  He is just TOO CUTE!  I had to add some glitter and sparkle and of course some paper piecing for his tuque and scarf.

BLOG HOP WINNER

Now, last week we had a blog hop, and the winner from my blog is RIET.  Congratulations Riet, could you please contact Michelle to claim your free digital stamp.

Have a wonderful night, I hope all of you have completed your Christmas preparations.

Hugs,
Tanya

PWCO's Sketch # 111

Good Morning,

PaperWorks Co. has posted it's last sketch for 2011. So if you need a little inspiration to get those last Christmas Cards done, why not try sketch # 111.  I chose to use PWCO's "A Little Haul of Cheer" stamp. A wonderfully festive and cute stamp.  Of course I switched up the angles, and went for a right angle triangle instead of the standard isosceles triangle. But that is what sketches are all about, being inspired, then making it your own.

Happy Thursday!  I wish you all a serene day.
Hugs,
Tanya

A PWCO Blast From The Past

Materials Used

Stamps: Aqua Amigos – Carlos the Crab
Paper: July 2011 PWCO PaperCard Kit
R02,R05, R08

Good Morning,

My Design Team commitment for 2011 over at PaperWorks Co. has come to an end.  I want to thank Peggy for giving me the opportunity to work on her FAB team. I also want to give a shout out to Stephanie, she totally ROCKED the Blog Coordinator position. This was such a fun team to work on, and I want to thank all the DT gals for welcoming me, and for the support.

This  last card was created using my absolute favorite PWCO PaperCard Kit in 2011. The July kit was full of bright papers that had me reaching for the Aqua Amigos Stamp set over and over. Carlos the Crab is just darling, and I just love popping him up too. He totally makes me smile, and that is always a good thing.

As we head into the winter months, I hope this sunny warm card helps dull the chill in the air.

Hugs,
Tanya

A Blast From The Past

Materials Used
Paper: PWCO’s August 2011 PaperCard kit
Y23, Y26, Y32
Good Morning,

For the next couple of weeks I will be showcasing some of the previous month’s PWCO PaperCard Kits.  Hence the title “A Blast From The Past”.

I needed some masculine paper for my husbands anniversary card (we celebrated 9 years on November 30th), and while perusing through the August 2011 PWCO PaperCard kit, I found these delicious papers.  Since each kit comes with matching embellishments, the card came together quite easily.

I chose Lucas the Lion from the Safari Friends stamp set,  and inside the card I used the Safari Friends ” I am wild about you” sentiment stamp.  My husband loved the card, he is one of my biggest fans, and for that I love him even more.

Happy Monday,
Hugs,
Tanya
