PWCO's ABAC Sunday

Zoie the Red Nosed Zebra,
Had a very shiny bell.
And if you ever heard it,
You would even say "That's Swell"

Good Morning,

This is my last ABAC creation for the month of November, and for the year!  WOW 2012 is just around the corner.

The flu and cold season has returned (yes I know, bite my tongue) so I decided to create a  Hand Sanitizer holder. I was gifted one of these from a wonderful gal name Elisabeth, and found a fab tutorial HERE on how to re-create it. I had to play around with the measurements though so don't be too upset if your first one does not work out, take some scrap paper first and play around with it.

While coloring  PWCO's Zoie The Zebra  I had Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer in my head (hence the poem above).  Zoie is one of the adorable Safari Friends Collection stamps. Who knew one little Zebra could be so versatile, and I love the fact that Zoie is not traditional, but totally acceptable for the Christmas/Holiday Season.

Happy Krafing,
Hugs,
Tanya

The Pixie Cottage Challenge #49

Good Morning,

It's time for another Once Upon A Wednesday Challenge over at   The Pixie Cottage.   This week we have a super sketch for you to try and the theme is Family and Friends.  As always you can use the sketch and/or the theme, it is left up to you.

I had fun playing with this new Pixie Cottage stamp called "The Stockings Were Hung" by ArTish.  Available at Michelle's Scrapbooking and More.   When I was younger, my Mom would drive down to Mississauga for Christmas Eve in order to have Christmas Celebrations at my Oma's house in the basement.  She had a real fireplace, and thus the reason I used this image.  It reminds me of my Family.  I sometimes wish life were that simple again, and I am trying to make memories like that for my children.  Hopefully I succeed.

Hope to see you all participate this week.  Please note:  You do not have to use a Pixie Cottage stamp to enter, but it is always very nice to see you use them.

Happy Krafting,
Hugs,
Tanya

Tuesday Takes @ Sketch In Thyme Challenge #3

 Good Morning,

Welcome to the new Tuesday Takes Challenge #3 @ Sketches in Thyme. Our sketch is another fabulous one by Cardabilities.  We are sponsored this week by Charlene's Button Box . You really want to try to win these fabulous buttons, when I got mine in the mail I was in awe!  They are absolutely gorgeous, and I am left wanting more.

This was a sweet sketch to work with.  I took out my Basic Grey paper, and mounted it with a touch of Kraft paper. I proceeded to use my scallop punch on Kraft cardstock, and continued with the Kraft theme using it with my stamped Sugar Nellie image.  I just love coloring on it with my Prisma pencils. I tried this out a couple of week ago, and now I hooked.  It is so much fun playing, you never know what you will come up with.

We all need Christmas Cards right about now, so why not try this sketch out, get a card done, and enter it into this weeks challenge.  You end up crossing another one off your list, and will also be entered to win the fabulous handmade clay buttons you see above.

Happy Krafting!  I  hope to see your kreations this week.
Hugs,
Tanya

Happy Birthday Allyson

My youngest sister turned 14 yesterday, and this is the card I made for her. I really hope she likes it.  I used Charlotte with a Rose, one of Sparkle Creations rubber stamps.  I also used the SCRSC #6 sketch. I won this stamp simply by leaving a comment on Sparkle's blog during the release, and when my budget allows me to, I will definitely be buying more of her collections.  The paper I used is Basic Grey's Cappella line, I was lucky enough to win this paper pack by leaving a comment on the Moxie Fab sight.  How generous people can be, and I will have to find the time to sit down and make them a Thank You card.

I hope this "lucky" karma lends itself to my sister this year.  She is starting grade 9, and thus she begins the journey of trying to figure out what she wants to do, and working hard to achieve those goals.  Good Luck Allyson, I wish you all the best!

Tonight I am grateful for my family, and for my friends who are just like family.  I appreciate the time you take out of your busy lives to listen, to share and to participate in my life when time allows.  Big Hugs to all of you.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.  It is rainy here in Ottawa, so tomorrow James, the girls and I will tackle the wave pool!

Happy Krafting,
Tanya
