Melvin The Mod

A while ago (when I had more time than I have now!) I went through all the Dr Digi images I had printed out to see if there was one I'd not used before and came across Melvin the Mod.  So he got coloured up with Promarkers and I have quite a few vintage roadmaps in my stash so used one of those and some plain card.

Worked out quite well I thought!

Happy Hour Horace - 50th Birthday

And here is the final instalment of the 50th Birthday card using Dr Digi images.  This time its Happy Hour Horace who's been coloured with Promarkers.  The vintage map background is an old A to Z map that I was going to throw away but in the spirit of recycling, there is still lots of life left in it - so watch out for more use in future projects!

Ambrose King of the Waves - 50th Birthday

And here is the second page of the Birthday card using Ambrose King of the Waves and he's been coloured with Promarkers.  The letters have been cut from oddments of kraft card and then glossy accents over the top plus the letter I (as in fifty) has been glittered.

I've not shared an epic Birthday card for some time so here is one I made some time ago and this one using A Dunderton Abroad from Dr Digi and coloured with Promarkers.  The map is from my stash and is from an old A to Z map that I was going to bin but decided against!

Hamish McDougal

I have a number of vintage maps taken from car magazines (I think they were freebies within the publication) from the 1960's.  I've added Hamish McDougal from Dr Digi and coloured him with Promarkers.  He's attached to the card with a strip of acetate (recycled from a school shirt collar - the unnecessary plastic bit that I forget to remove before I wash the shirts through.......)

The banner is a clear stamp from The Works - its part of a larger set and I've used another stamp from my stash for the sentiment.  I've added the shading myself for a more vintage feel.
