Colour Crazy Challenge - Week 17 - Dr Digi

Daring Card Makers - Elemental Inspiration

It's time for a new Daring Cardmakers challenge and the theme this week, as it is the first Friday of the month, is an elemental inspiration picture - you just need to use at least three elements in your creation (colour counts as one choice)

I've taken the colours, teacup, kraft card, squares and circles, lettering, flowers and the thread (well, I've used bakers twine!)

The papers are from my stash and are from Dovecraft Tea Time collection (around 11 years old!) and the image is from Jellypark which is no longer available; coloured with Promarkers with everything else from my stash.  The sentiment has been stamped with a Lili of the Valley rubber stamp

I Love Promarkers Challenge - Challenge 430 - Colour of Love

It's Wednesday so time for a new I ❤ Promarkers challenge!  The theme this fortnight is

And we are sponsored by Colour of Love and I have used Dandelion and coloured with Promarkers plus a little glitter glue.  The papers are from a rather old (about 10 years old!) set of papers from Dovecraft called Enchanted Fairytale and I've used offcuts of kraft card for layering.

The wooden flower I've had in my stash for a long time too and it fitted perfectly with the colour theme.  Good luck with the challenge!

I Love Promarkers - Challenge 419 - Knitty Kitty

It's Wednesday so time for a new I ❤ Promarkers challenge!  The theme this fortnight is

Animals

And we are sponsored Knitty Kitty and I've used the fab Foxicorn and coloured with Promarkers plus a little glitter glue on the horn.  Papers are mostly oddments from Dovecraft Princess Fairytale 6x6 stack - just bits that are left over from previous projects that I don't want to throw away as they can always be used!  Same with the bit of vellum.  Gems are from my stash along with the oddment of twine.

The sentiment is a Cut and Make die that I got from the Range some time ago.  Good luck with the challenge!

This week we are sponsored by Createful Heart and I've used the sweet Up Up and Away digi and coloured it with Promarkers.  The papers are Dovecraft Fairy Tale Castle 6x6 stack (which I've had for ages) and I've recycled an envelope to layer the image on.

I Love Promarkers - Challenge 411 - Paper Nest Dolls

And we are sponsored by the Paper Nest Dolls and I've used Elephant With Butterfly and coloured with Promarkers.  I've printed the sentiment on my computer and used another circle die to cut it out and also the sparkly foam number 5 (set of lots of stickers from the poundshop!)

The paper is Dovecraft - Back to Basics 3 and the ribbon, half pearls, bakers twine and charm are all from my stash (the charm is actually from a charm bracelet, again from the poundshop!)

Crimbo Crackers Challenge 203 - Mini Cards

I've got lots of strips of card that are left overs from making card blanks and because I don't throw anything away, its got to the point that I need to use them!  So I've made these mini cards which are approx 3 inches square.  The music paper is from Dovecraft - Glad Tidings 6x6 stack and I found some chocolate brown and deep red card from my stash.

I've cut the fancy panel with a die (again, more off-cuts of card used!) and the wooden reindeer toppers are a few years old from Hobbycraft.  Twine from my stash.

Pud

Here is a little quick Christmas card using Xmas Pud from Dr Digi and coloured with Promarkers.  I have quite a few small square envelopes as I tend to buy reduced Christmas cards just for the envelopes as they can be so cheap in the January sales!  So, as I realised I had rather a lot of these envelopes, I'd better start using them!

I cut the background using a circle die and then chopped a bit off the bottom so it would stand up rather than wobble over.  The papers are from Dovecraft Glad Tidings 6x6 pack and I added the pud with foam pads for extra depth.

A few half pearls on the sides and the card is finished!  I'd like to enter the following:

You need to use the picture below for inspiration and to use at least 3 elements although colours count as one.

I've used the colour red, stripes, the word joy, reindeer, twine and the tag.  Papers are rather old and are from Dovecraft - Noel 4.5 x 6.5 stack.  I've cut the letters and tag from an offcut of off-white card and added the half pearls and waxed cord from my stash.  The reindeer is a few years old and from Hobbycraft.

We are sponsored by the Paper Shelter and I've used Christmas Shopping digi and coloured her up with Promarkers.  I've added her to the card using foam pads for depth and scored a border around the bottom layer of the card.  I've used a fancy edge die to cut away the front, using papers from Dovecraft Glad Tidings 6x6 paper stack and finding some perfectly matching satin ribbon in my stash.

I'd Rather Be Watching I'm A Celebrity

Here is my second card to be featured in this months Making Cards magazine and this time features Christmas Party Colin from Dr Digi and I was asked as part of the DT, along with a sentiment from the Christmas Sentiments Sheet 1.  I've coloured the digi with Promarkers and used a stitched wavy die cut to layer the image on and to cut the opening side of the card.

To add a bit of interest, I've scored a line around the straight edges and used papers from Dovecraft Glad Tidings 6x6 pad.  There is a special discount code in the magazine plus lots of inspiration as well as the cover acrylic stamps!

Daring Card Makers Challenge - Cut It Up

I've made some layered windmills to dress up three gift boxes I bought a while ago and not done anything with!  The papers are Dovecraft Back to Basics 3 and because they are single sided papers, I glued two sheets together before I cut the windmill shapes using a really old template set from Lakeland.

As they are quite 'bulky' I used foam pads in between the layers and topped off with a brad in the centre of each - I've had these brads for years and just kept thinking they were too pretty to use..... but I need to use my stuff as I have a lot!!

I've used Candy Floss Crew Quentin and coloured him with Promarkers.  I've used a freebie sentiment stamp that I've had for an absolute age and use time and time again; the chocolate brown card is from my stash and I've added a dotted white line with a white gel pen around the edge.
