Quick Birthday

It's been a long long time since I had time to enter a challenge, but with needing to make a Birthday card and not having any inspiration, I had a look at the Bugaboo blog and the sketch challenge was perfect!

I've used Chef Pierre Cake and coloured him with Promarkers and the spotty papers are scraps from my stash - I had to be clever as to how to cut and layer them!  I've used my Spellbinders dies for the circle die cuts.

I'd like to enter the following:

Time for a new Daring Card Makers challenge and the theme for the week is

Pets

I don't actually have any pets but this cute Woof You clear acrylic stamp from Polkadoodles.  I've coloured him with Promarkers and added papers also from Polkadoodles - Great Outdoors A5 paper pack, layering up with chocolate brown card from my stash.

I've used a stitched circles die from Polkadoodles and layered it onto a Spellbinders scalloped die.  The ribbon is from my stash.  Good luck with the challenge!  I'd like to enter the following:

Pretty Bluebells

Here is another Stampin' Unicorn sample from me! If you didn't manage to catch the two Hochanda shows yesterday you can still watch them - https://www.hochanda.com/TvSchedule#200318

Here is one of the stamps featured in the show and one one of the demos from Nikky. Beautiful clear crisp lines every time it is stamped! I've used a fancy Spellbinders die for all the panels and I've stamped onto linen effect white card and coloured with Promarkers.

The sentiment also comes with the set. I'd like to enter the following:

Colour Crazy Challenge Week 35 - Di's Digis and Crafty Sentiments

This week over at the Colour Crazy challenge we have two wonderful sponsors who each gave the DT images to work with!  The challenge theme as always is:

Anything Goes

The first sponsor is Di's Digi's and I've used Jungle Shelf, coloured with Promarkers and added to the card with foam pads so it gives some depth.  I've added embroidery thread over the banner plus the three little bows.  The number one is a wooden die cut which I've added lots of glitter glue over the top (I primed it first by painting with white acrylic paint).  The ribbons are from my stash.

I'd like to enter the following:

As You Like It:  Fur of Feathers (I like both but could not resist this cute image!)
Crafty Creations:  Anything Goes
Crafty Gals:  Anything Goes
Incy Wincy Designs:  Go Wild

The second sponsor is Crafty Sentiments and I used both images we were given.  The first one is called Relaxing and I've coloured her with Promarkers, used two different Spellbinder dies to cut her out and layer onto.  The sentiment has been handwritten and added to a Sizzix die tag.  The papers have been printed from a Funky Hand cd - now retired that I had in my stash.  Ribbon and half pearls also from my stash.

I'd like to enter the following:

And the second image I've used from Crafty Sentiments is Henry Why Not and he has also been coloured with Promarkers.  Papers are Papermania Colossal Paper pack 6x6 For Him.  I've added X Cut arrow die cuts from scrap card in my stash.  I've hand written the sentiment.

Good luck with the challenge!

Two Babies

Two quick but cute cards from me both use the Lili of the Valley Simply Prints - Fast Asleep Boy and Fast Asleep Girl.  Both have been printed directly onto linen effect white card and then layered using foam pads onto a Spellbinders die cut, again from the same card.

The buttons, embroidery tread and half pearls are all from my stash and I've added a dotted line of liquid pearls around the edge of the image and also card edge.

From The Heart Stamps Sketch Challenge 165 - Inspiration

It's part way through the current From The Heart Stamps Sketch with a double twist challenge!  Don't forget that you can either follow the sketch or either of the two twists or any combination of the three that you want, the only stipulation is that you must use a FTHS. If you don't have any of the images, pop over to the store as there are some freebies available.

Plus, there is a progressive Stamp of the Month challenge - if you buy the image for March, you will receive the one for April for free and so on. The sketch is below which I've used and also both the twists!

I've used Loves Me Birdbrain and coloured with Promarkers and watercolour pencils.  I've handwritten the sentiment and added to half pearls.

The image has been layered onto a Spellbinders fancy scallop die and I've gone around the edge of the image and card with a black fineliner pen, dotting it as I went.

Charm from my (rather extensive) stash.  The sketch is below.

Good luck with the challenge!  I'd like to enter the following:

Anyway, Day 1 was All That Sparkles, so here is my entry:

I've used Ruby Christmas Ornaments and coloured her with Promarkers.  I've glittered her glorious red hair with glitter glue and added it to the edges of the image.  The fancy frame is a Spellbinders and the silver wooden snowflake is one I found in my stash.  Ribbon is from Wilkos.

I've layered it onto some shiny red card from my stash and a Spellbinder cut frame.  The tag is a Sizzix die cut and the ribbon is from my stash.

From The Heart Stamps Sketch 161

Welcome to a new From The Heart Stamps Sketch with a Twist challenge!  And it is a bit of a different challenge - there are 4 sketches to choose from and the one that took my fancy was number 47 from a few years ago.

I've used Deck The Halls Birdbrain, coloured with Promarkers plus a little glossy accents on the baubles.  I've used a fancy Spellbinders die to cut out the sentiment (from Jingle Bell Birdbrain) and the image.

Papers are from Forever Friends Cosy Christmas 6x6 pad and the ribbon is actually upholstery binding which I 've had lurking in my stash for years - I've doubled it up and added bakers twine to cover the join.  The little bell is from my stash.  I've added glitter glue around the edge of the sentiment and image - it just does not show up too well in the photo!

Good luck with the challenge!

If you're looking for something cheap, cheerful and to brighten what can only be described as a gloomy day, then look no further than the lightbulb from Dr Digi - its a freebie in the store!

I've coloured the images with Promarkers and added glossy accents to the highlight.  Die cuts are Nestabilities and I've handwritten the sentiment.

From The Heart Stamps Sketch 157

It's Monday so its a new From The Heart Stamps sketch with a twist!  It's really easy to join in with the challenge - you can follow either the sketch or the twist or combine the two, but please make sure you use a FTHS - there are some freebies in the store to get you started if you don't have any.

I've used three of the single images from the Birdbrain Football set and have take off the ball that the first birdbrain is holding; I've also written my own sentiment on the second image.  The green card is from my stash and I've added the images (coloured with Promarkers) with foam pads for some depth.

To be honest, the card wasn't looking like that in my head but glad it turned out how it did!

From The Heart Stamps Sketch 156

It's time for a new From The Heart sketch challenge with a twist!  From time to time (usually when I buy a new image) I have a printing spree - I add all the images I want to print into word and then print.  Sometimes I know what shape I want the image to be and line up the die over the image to make sure it will fit.

However, although I did like this one up, it was a bit off centre so his hand is slightly out of the frame, but I think it looks fine!  I coloured French Mustache Birdbrain with Promarkers, added glossy over his eyes to make them shine.

I found the paper in my stash (have a feeling its 10+ years old!) and the red card was also from my stash and I've added some black dewdrops.

The sketch is below - you can either follow the sketch or the twist or do both but you must use a FTHS - there are some freebies in the store!  Good luck!

More Kraft

Another quick Father's Day card; again used a Jellypark sentiment printed directly onto kraft card, cut it with a Spellbinder die and then layered onto black card.  I embossed the background panel with a Cuttlebug folder and then added the burlap (had to be creative with it as it wasn't long enough!)

Buttons are from my stash and I've added some waxed cotton in the centres.  Silver stars are punched from a tiny hand punch.

Spotty Dotty Dalmation

I've been rediscovering some of my loved and sadly neglected digis and unfortunately Jellypark is no longer trading but still doesn't stop me from using them!  This actually was not a dalmatian but the card request was for one so I've added spots.  It did take me a while to work out if it should be a black dog with white spots or a white dog with black spots.....

Sentiment is also from Jellypark but a different digi.  Image cut with a Spellbinder die and then layered onto a scalloped circle.  Spotty card from my stash along with the ribbon and half pearls.

From The Heart Stamps Blog Hop - Pigging Out

It's time for the May Blog Hop at From The Heart Stamps and we've gone for a theme of

Pigging Out plus the option of adding ribbon

Which is a perfect excuse to show of the fab PigWit images!  Plus there are some new releases in the store which are just wonderful!

I've used an older stamp - Hamlet PigWit Being Shy which I've coloured with Promarkers and added a Spellbinder lacy edge die cut behind her (I've changed him to a her!)  I hand wrote the sentiment on the die cut.  All the papers are from Dovecraft Back To Basics 3 6x6 pad which I bought for £2 from The Works.

The pom pom ribbon is also from The Works - I got a huge roll of it for £3 and the reel is nice too!  To finish off the card I've added a dotted line of liquid pearls around the edges.

If you've arrived at my blog from Michelle then you are on the right track!  Before you hop over to the last stop which is the FTHS blog make sure you leave me a comment.  One lucky person who leaves a comment on my post will be in with a chance to win a free image from the store!

As an added bonus - count up how many of us are using ribbon and then email Faith faith@fromtheheartstamps.com with your answer before the end of the hop to be in with a chance of winning a $15 gift certificate from the store.

Good luck - the hop will end on Sunday 8 May at 6am EST with the winners announced on the blog on Wednesday 11 May.  Good luck!!

A quick card made with white linen cardstock.  I've layered a smaller panel onto the card base and added dotted liquid pearls around the edge.  The fancy edged circle die is a Spellbinders and the butterfly base and die are both Memory Box.

I coloured the top layered butterfly with Promarkers and the hot pink ribbon is from my stash.

From The Heart Stamps - Stamp of the Month - April

The Stamp of the Month for April from FTHS - Time To Bloom is really quite versatile!  I've gone for just one of the elements - the butterfly and I've used some grey Promarkers for a little shading.

I've simply cut out the image and layered it onto an X Cut square with foam pads, which in turn has been layered onto a fancy Spellbinders die cut with foam pads.  And that has also been layered onto the white linen effect card with foam pads.

The sentiment is part of the set and I printed it onto the card before I used the X Cut die.

Remember, if you have not entered before, buy the image in the store, use it in a project, link it up before the end of the month and you will receive the next months image for free!  What's not to like?!

Crimbo Crackers Challenge 104 - Embossing

Time for a new Crimbo Crackers challenge and the theme for the fortnight is:

Embossing

I've used a cute little image by From The Heart Stamps - Jingle Bell Birdbrain and coloured it with Promarkers.  I've used two Spellbinder dies to cut and layer the image.  The embossing comes from a Cuttlebug folder and I used an off cut of card to emboss.

Half pearls are from my stash and I've finished the image off with glitter glue around the edge and also on the fur of the hat.  Good luck with the challenge!
