Crimbo Crackers Challenge 223 - Anything Goes

It's time for a new Crimbo Crackers challenge and the theme is

Anything Goes

I've made some little boxes using a die and a few sheets of kraft card.  The bits that were left over, I made some snowflakes using the Polkadoodles Fancy Snowflake die, cutting them twice for each box for extra strength and adding half pearls to break up the colour.  I've used organza ribbon from my stash to keep it all together.

Good luck with the challenge!

Die Cuts and Watercolours

I like using white card (quite a lot!) and just splashes of colour so I decided to take 4 different Polkadoodle dies and to make some quick and easy cards with them.  I've used the Holly and Spruce, Fancy Snowflake, Fancy Intricate Bauble and Ice Skates.

I found some smallish square envelopes in my stash and made some card blanks to fit these and then cut another square panel for each, that was slightly smaller.  For each die, I cut two for extra strength.

I then used my rather ancient (I used them when I did A Level Art back in 1990!) watercolours in the bottom right corner.  I repeated this for all four panels using different colours each time.

Next I added the die cut over the watercoloured area after sticking the panel to the card blank.  To keep it all flat, I add them under the cushion of the chair that I sit at when crafting - its a heavy wooden table chair so works perfectly under my posterior!

I also added some little half pearls here and there and some larger ones to three of the cards.  I quite like these - a little bit different!

Polkadoodle Challenge - Anything Goes or Christmas and Not A Card

It's time for a new Polkadoodle challenge and the theme as always is

Anything Goes

The DT were challenged to make something that is for Christmas but is not a card, so I came up with a cute gift box, cut from a sheet of kraft card and with white half pearls from my stash and organza ribbon.

I've used the Fancy Snowflake die, and I've cut two from off-cuts of kraft card for extra strength, added the half pearls and then added that to the centre of the box after adding the ribbon.

Pretty and easy to make and quite quick if you take out the glue drying time!  Good luck with the challenge!  I'd like to enter the following:

Daring Card Makers - Christmas Decoration

Welcome to a new Daring Card Makers challenge!  The theme this week is:

Christmas Decoration

I've made a Christmas Tree table decoration which is actually a box and I've used papers from Polkadoodles - Snowtime Like Christmas 6x6 paper stack.  The large fancy snowflake die is also from Polkadoodles and I've used some burgundy card from my stash to cut it.

The half pearl and gold braid are from my stash and the bauble is from a pack of little ones I bought last year from Primark to add to gift boxes and it fitted the colour scheme well.  The bow on the top of the bauble is ribbon from my stash.

Good luck with the challenge!  I'd like to enter the following:

Daring Card Makers Challenge - Snowflakes

It's time for a new Daring Card Makers challenge and the theme for the week is

Snowflakes

I've made this simple card using a layered (offcuts from the cardblank and two vellum layers) Fancy Snowflake die from Polkadoodles and also the Merry Christmas die which again, I've layered twice for extra depth.

I've added some pale pink half pearls to the tips and centre of the snowflake and to the top of the card.  Good luck with the challenge!  I'd like to enter the following:
