Lonely This Christmas

Here is the third and final card I have featured in the current issue of Making Cards magazine and I've used Lonely This Christmas by Dr Digi, coloured with Promarkers.   I've made the background by blending different shades of blue inks onto the card and once dry, I embossed it with a Gemini embossing folder.

I then dotted some white opal liquid pearls on some of the embossed areas so it looks like snow.

The sentiment has also been coloured with Promarkers and is from the Christmas Sentiments sheet 1, cut out and added to the card with foam pads.  The snow drifts at the front of the card have been cut from oddments of card left over from previous projects and are from Polkadoodles but are no longer available.

I'd Rather Be Watching I'm A Celebrity

Here is my second card to be featured in this months Making Cards magazine and this time features Christmas Party Colin from Dr Digi and I was asked as part of the DT, along with a sentiment from the Christmas Sentiments Sheet 1.  I've coloured the digi with Promarkers and used a stitched wavy die cut to layer the image on and to cut the opening side of the card.

To add a bit of interest, I've scored a line around the straight edges and used papers from Dovecraft Glad Tidings 6x6 pad.  There is a special discount code in the magazine plus lots of inspiration as well as the cover acrylic stamps!

Christmas Chris

I was recently asked to make 3 cards for the December issue of Making Cards magazine and here is the first one!  I've used Christmas Chris and added a sentiment from the Christmas Sentiments Sheet 1.  Chris has been coloured with Promarkers and I've added him to a circle of kraft card which I've folded in two to create a wobble card.

I had to carefully balance the sentiment on a cocktail stick so he wasn't lopsided!  Glossy accents added to his nose and the berries on the pud plus some doodling with a black fineliner pen and the card is complete!

Making Cards - Part 3

Morning!  Here I am with the third and final installment of my recent Making Cards spread!  This time I've used Faldaree Deirdery and coloured her up with Promarkers.  I've also added UFO by means of a strip of acetate and the sentiment is from the Mothers Day Sentiment Sheet 01

I've recycled an old road map for the base and used a circle die folded in two as the rocker.  Charm and embroidery thread from my stash.

Making Cards - Part 2

This is the second card from the trio that has been recently published in Making Cards magazine.  It is actually a stepper card - you just can't tell from the angle I've taken the photo at!  I've used Green Fingers and Thumbs and Barrow and Bits all from Dr Digi.  I've also used one of the Mother's Day Sentiments too.

Coloured with Promarkers plus a grass die cut and the cloud papers are from my stash.

Making Cards - Part 1

Here is the first of three cards that currently feature in the March edition of Making Cards.  I've used Bath Time Deirdery, Rubber Duckie and one of the sentiments from Mother's Day Sentiment Sheet 1.

I've used Promarkers to colour plus glossy accents and liquid pearls for extra depth.  The wallpaper is from my stash and I've made the floorboards with an offcut of kraft card.
