Be Merry- Christmas card for Counterfeit Kit Challenge

Back today with another fast card if you need one for the holidays with Counterfeit Kit Challenge. There has been fantastic ideas all month form my design team sisters this month over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge :) This is a great reference for cards needed next year too.

Season's Greetings

Today's technique is using a tag on your card, this addition can make the card very festive without alot of bulk

Using a Tag

Christmas time is a great time to buy premade tags and they are really getting to look fantastic too! I had gotten packs of tags at the Dollar Store and used them in a variety of ways
Add some glitter paper and a doily is a nice touch behind the tap and dress it with some soft embellishments if you like. Easy Peasy card for the holidays and they don't need to know you bought the tags!

Thanks for stopping by today and seeing what I've been creating in my scrappy corner of the world. I want to wish all my friends and followers and Merry Christmas! You may see a post or 2 yet before we begin the new year

A Pair of Christmas Tags

Good morning, today here in PA it's a bit on the chilly side with 14 degrees, so like now were in the winter weather. I got my Christmas pictures yesterday from my snapfish order and so excited to get them scrapped :) But first I have to work on some projects that are already on my list for this week. So the pictures will hang out with my December Daily bag full of goodies to tackle next week :) I do have some crafty things I did last month that I never posted so here are the tags I had made for a swap that we did in a yahoo group I'm with.
The top tag was for the Winter Wonderland tag swap We had quite a few in that swap so I was able to finish up a package of K&Company very merry snowflake layered accents. I used a CTMH stamp set and stampendious blue tinsel embossing powder (this one is tough to see if it heat embossed) I used the Wonderland paper from CTMH from last month's counterfeit kit. I attached 2 silver snowflake brads too. Added some blue ribbon in various styles from my ribbon stash.
These 2 tags were for the traditional swap and I used paper and embellishments from the December kit I made last month. I also used some left over die cuts I had left over from last year Hanging the Ornaments layout that are Creative Pointe's cuts from Christmas Set 2 I added a border of candy canes I had from a K&Company TC Christmas adhesive borders. Added a brad to the top of the cuts and the tree or stocking borders in green came from JTE Christmas diecut pack. Happy Holidays stickers are from a sticker sheet I had in my stash. Added some green ribbon and some red and white bakers twine to make a bow on the ribbon.

They were both fun project and the swaps I received back were amazing, penguins seem to be popular for the winter wonderland swap and the traditional swap went all over the place, but I kept back some favorites for my Dec Daily book. The rest adorned my presents very nicely :)
Have a sweet day and stay warm......

A Little Something Special-Tags

It's a beautiful day here where I'm sitting eating my lunch, sun streaming in. Love seeing the sun out in the winter time it's so bright and beautiful. Brrr it's still cold though. I know Christmas is over, but I don't think I ever shown some of the tags I have made over the past 2 years. So here is some of the ones I made for Christmas 2012
These were all done with various cricut cartridges and will have to do some investigating to find out which ones. There is a large variety of tags on most of the Christmas/Winter cartridges to choose from and the tag gives an extra something special to your gift. You could also use the tag for a sentiment spot on a card too. To me this is the best use of Christmas scraps from all those sweet cards that we make. You all have a good day, I'm going to go and finish up my lunch :)

Thanks for stopping by today and don't forget to join in for the blog candy this week:

Creative Cutting Challenge-Christmas Gift Tag

Hi all,
the challenge this week at Creative Cutting Challenge is Christmas-Anything but a Card. I designed a gift tag for this challenge.

I made a Christmas tag for this challenge. The base of the tag was first cut from the back cover of a paper pack to get it some weight. Then it was cut again in the covering paper that was from the DCWV Christmas Combo 180 Stack. The tag came from a set that was free from Cre8ive Cutz. I used Creative Pointe’s Christmas Set for the Santa and the Christmas writing. Both of these cuts were cut out with scraps using my Scal program. I cut the Merry from one of the fonts with Scal and added red stickles to it to give it some Christmas bling. The ribbon is from Joanns 1.00 bin.

I really like how it turned out and is really going to look fantastic on that special gift.
Check out Creative Cutting Challenge and consider joining in.
Have a fantastic day, and thanks for stopping by and seeing my view in my corner of the world
