Today LO for CKC 1st challenge

Good morning and welcome to the 1st challenge of the month over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog. The challenges are to help you use up your Counterfeit Kit Challenge kit and have fun at the same time!
Challenge #1: Our inspiration kit has several frames included in the Pink Paislee die-cut pack as well as patterned paper covered with swirly frames! Include frames in a clever way on your project.
This is what I created using some of the frames that I had in my kit this month:
It was ironic that I seen a youtuber Laura Alberts create a layout with frames this morning and that was my inspiration for this layout. Trying to keep a flow about the layout added a small frame at the top right and moved down the page to the bottom left with a variety of frames used in a variety of ways. Added simple embelishments to the unpictured frames with words and small pearls
Top one included the date of the photos
 My journaling
My title in the lower left corner. So glad to work out of my comfort zone on a layout like this. I look forward to seeing what you create with any frames you might have in your kit this month. Now to figure out how to use that frame paper I stamped at the beginning of the month......

CKC March Forgery-Stamped Scrapbook Background

Hello and welcome :) Today I'm here to show that if you don't have the most current trends in papers or embellishments it's easy enough to forge it and get a similar result.
It is no crime to create your own version of the trendy,
hip products from the inspiration kit using your own stash and ingenuity.
The inspiration that produced the forgery:

I thought the framed paper, Pink Paislee: Pick Me Up Paper 19, would be an easy one to forge knowing I had frame stamps that had yet to see any ink:
By using a white cardstock, these 2 stamp sets from Close to my Heart and a variety of inks I went to work creating
Using my Tim Holtz stamping platform (finally out of the box)
This is the background paper I created. Found it was easier to one stamp at a time vs 5 or 6. My imperfections can easily be covered up with photo or embellishments. Definitely something different for me but it was fun to create such a unique background.
For other inspiration check out what the other Master Forgers are doing over at Counterfeit Challenge Blog.

Just loved the feel of this kit and just such a Spring vibe to it too :) I'm so over this winter and looking forward to Spring this month. So this is what I came up with for my kit:
My March counterfeit kit is Simply Spring:

A good size kit for a good size month of creating :) I added Glitter, Butterflies, Tags and Journaling spots, Enamel dots and shapes, Lots of words in various forms, Die cuts with a Spring vibe, wood veneer, washi tape and added Project Life cards too
My chosen papers, I followed what they had pretty close including the B sides too. I have a total of 24 papers in my kit.
My alphas and I added the Shimelle sticker book to the kit. Missing from the pictures is a Tag punch, Thicker Gold Glitter words, and Wood stickers

That framed paper, well I don't have that in my stash but I do have white cardstock and these framed stamps. On the 4th you will see my forgery of that paper.
Also I have included what was left in last month's kit:
Now off you go and see what fun kit Laura came up with over on her Instagram page. Thanks for stopping by today and if you want a fun month of crafting give the challenge a try :)
