Happy Valentines from my GEORGIA GARDENS, to yours.

The Ever Red Loropetalum aka:Fringe Bush has a beautiful Red bloom that is very difficult for me to capture through a photo. But believe me, it is bright red and has a dark almost chocolate leaf. I planted 2 last fall and have 3 more yet to put into the ground. Maybe this weekend.

What's a gardener to do on a warm and rainy day in February? Garden in the greenhouse of course! It is here I can enjoy blooms and still get my hands dirty while keeping out of the weather. The amaryllis in my garden are always wintered over in the greenhouse. By the time they bloom it is usually time to bring them outside for some sun. This 'Apple Blossom' is getting close!

Good morning from In the Garden in Tennessee! It's been a wonderful winter in the garden and today I thought I'd share some bird watching pictures.

All of the birds love the nearby koi pond for a water source when it is icy outside. I so enjoy watching them drink here!

I believe this to be a female house purple finch.(Thanks Lisa)

Back at Arlington National Cemetery, we get a front view of "The Tomb of the Unknowns". I was captivated by the tree lined wall leading up to the site.

Backing off a bit, we see a fountain as well. Off for the winter of course but none the less making a beautiful photo.
