Creative Scrappers Featured Designer

Hello!!! What a GORGEOUS day!!! I plan on getting out and enjoying it some too!!! Hope you can as well!!
I am pleased to share that I am today's Featured Designer on the Creative Scrappers blog! This is a fabulous sketch blog run by a local New Brunswick gal... It has gained huge popularity and is full of inspiration! You really need to check it out if you haven't already!! Thank you Kristine for this opportunity!!
I got to play with this FUN sketch!! It had my name written all over it... figuratively of course! ;) you know me and my circle addiction... :)
And here is the layout I created from the sketch inspiration! I did change things up a bit... but had started out really close to the sketch... inspiration just took me in a different direction! :) Love when that happens!!
FAMILY PHOTOS
The brown border is created with Spellbinders die templates from the Parisian Accents set. I LOVE this set to pieces!!!
I fell in love with this collection from Bo Bunny... the colors are stunning... I reach for it every time I scrap lately! I think I better hurry and use it up quick! :)
In creating this page, I used Helmar Premium Craft Glue to hold the majority of it together. The journaling strips are adhered using the Quick Fix Adhesive runner, and the embellies with the Liquid Scrap Dots!
TIP: I was clear out of the letter "L"... what did I do? I grabbed a 7 and turned it upside down! :) It did the trick!!
Thank you so much for stopping by!!
I have lots more work that I haven't posted on the blog yet... so I am hoping to have a busy blog posting week coming up!! :) Stop by often! And remember... I have a ribbon RAK up for grabs... check out THIS POST...
So... until next time... enjoy the spring weather and HAPPY SCRAPPING!!

FINALLY... I can blog!

Man oh man!! What a stretch! Sick kids, sick me... it feels like it's never going to end! This morning I have n kids with a fever, and no kids sounding like they are going to caugh up a lung... so it's looking like a good day! 2 are still on antibiotics and one is still home from school... but it's still a better day!!
It gets so overwhelming when the little ones are sick! The baby was even sick... and was up a LOT at night. Needless to say, if Mamma isn't sleeping... things fall apart here!
However... i slept last night! (we won't mention DH's snoring... ;) So I feel decent today! Decent is much better than horrible! So here I am... blogging away! :)

First order of business... i have 2 raks to give away!!

My word for the year is follow-through. I'm forever promising myself that I'm going to start inviting people over to lunch, take the time to call an old friend, or I'm going to start some new program and then life gets busy ... This year I'm going to make an effort to do these little things within a reasonable amount of time from when I think about them.

CONGRATS girls!!! I'll be in touch to get your mailing addresses to get your goodies out to you!!

I also have a couple of toots to share...

*I have a LO requested for Canadian Scrapbooker summer 2011!
*I have another LO requested for Scrap Street Ezine for April 2011! I think it's my first time in there! It's a Best Creation layout too! :) And of course, it uses Helmar Adhesives! :)

Now I suppose I should share a page with you... since you've been so patient with me these last couple of weeks! :) This page was done using the Travel Forever collection from Best Creation! I honestly struggled with this line. Not because it is not GORGEOUS! But because I don't travel very much... so that's what I decided to scrap about!
A GIRL CAN DREAM
The fun thing about the new collections from Best Creation is that they have die cut papers, die cut sticker sheets, mini alpha's AND Chipboard!! Yeah!! LOT'S of fun coordinating embellies!! Most of this page is BC goodies. I added some Jute, "DREAM" is Pink Paislee alpha, a couple of random eyelets, a Jenni Bowlin die cut and some card stock! The rest is all BC goodness! Of course I used my Helmar Premium craft glue to hold most of it together! Some liquid scrap dots was used for the flowers.I loved this die cut paper! What die cut paper you ask? The one that I cut the top and bottom off and added together in the middle of my page! I hid the seam using a die cut sticker border!! Such fun!

Thanks so much for stopping by! There is so much scrappy stuff going on... some fabulous design teams to apply for... waiting for word on Spellbinders... (EEK!) Some creating that I can't share yet... and this week I've committed to making nothing but cards! EGADS! Can you believe it? Me neither, but I want to get better at them... and that takes a bit of work, right?
So, off I go to tackle some cards! :)
have a fabulous day!!
Until Next time... Happy Scrapping!!

Hello All! I have a layout to share with you... but first, some FUN news!! I mentioned in my last post that i was a finalist for the My Scrapbook Nook DT... well, I did not make the DT, but I was asked to be a guest designer! I am more than thrilled!! So I'll have more info on that for you when i have it! :) Now...
Every month at Magistical Memories we have a challenge where the DT chooses a winner to be our Guest Designer! In order to play along, you must complete a layout based on this sketch... created by yours truly! :) For more details on playing along, please drop by the Magistical Memories blog.
And here is the project that I created using this sketch along with the Magistical Memories Chipboard film strip! I LOVE this piece of chipboard! I need to get about 500 more of them!! ;)

This pleated heart is how my page began... I started with that and the rest came together from there. I am actually working on a tutorial for this technique to share with you so stay tuned later in the week... :)

Hello to everyone on this ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL day!! The sun is shining and it is super warm in the house!!... for the end of January that is! :) It WOULD be much warmer though... were I in LA for CHA... ;)

Spellbinders Warmups...

With my challenge for Spellbinders Design team Round 2 being a card, I had to dig deep... REALLY deep and find my inner cardmaker! And guess what... I did!! I created several cards and had SUCH a hard time deciding which one to send in!! So I decided to create just one more... and that one was the winner in my mind! It was my absolute favorite... it represented my style of work perfectly and i feel it was "THE ONE". I am completely comfortable with it and feel that if I do not make it thru to the next round then I'm ok with that... (if I HAVE to be) because this card is some of my best. So... it's been sent and the waiting begins!! Feb 4th we find out who makes it to the final round! It's going to KILL me to wait! LOL!
So... I thought I'd share with you a couple of the other cards that I created while finding my inner cardmaker. I am not able to share my submitted card until the team has been announced.

HELLO
This first card was my warm up card! :) It is the first one I made during this process. It is simple but I just love the colors!
Supplies: Basic Grey Papers and chipboard, Jenni Bowlin shaped paper, Zva pearls, MME Chipboard alpha, Ranger perfect pearls, Martha Stewart butterfly punch, Helmar Acid Free Glue, Helmar 450 Quick dry

YOU ARE
This is actually the second card I made using this design. I'm still not 100% happy with it. I think it's the yellow... Not sure...
But I really had fun with this design! I absolutely love Martha Stewarts AROUND THE PAGE punches! But how much easier would this card have been with a SPELLBINDERS die?
I love the swirlies around the circle on this card! I seen Tracy Taylor do something like this one time and was excited to adapt it to suit my card! Isn't it fun? It is actually the same punch used for the border... but trimmed off and rounded around and under the circle! Too cool!
It's hard to tell in this photo, but this card has lots of dimension! It is popped up using Helmar's Zapdots... both the large circle and the center "you are" parts! There is also some distressed stickles around the edges to give this a little bit of distressed sparkle! :)

Supplies: Pink Paislee PP, Unity Stamps, Martha Stewart punches, Fiskars circle punches, Color Box ink, Ranger distress ink, Ranger stickles, Helmar Acid Free Glue, Helmar Zap dots

THANK YOU
I think this is my favorite of the three. It's so simply beautiful. So elegant... so much of everything I love! I was leaning towards sending in this one to Spellbinders... but once I created the last one, I fell in love with it even more! :)
Supplies: MME and Scrap within Reach PP, MME Diecut, Jenni Bowlin pins, Pink Paislee artesian shape, Scenic route chipboard, Martha Stewart butterfly punch, Ranger inks and perfect pearls, ribbon, Helmar Acid free glue, Helmar Zapdots

Thanks for stopping by!
Until next time...
Happy Scrapping!

My Little Word

I realize that it is no longer the beginning of the new year... but since we are still in the first month, I think it's still a great time to share with you my word choice for the year.
**CONTENT**
–adjective
satisfied with what one is or has; not wanting more or anything else.

In 2011 I aim to be more content... to be satisfied with what I have... to be thankful for what I have and focus on those things rather than on what i do not or can not have.

So often I get caught up in the negative... what I do not have, what I can not do rather than realize what I DO have... what I CAN do. In this coming year, I want to change that. I want to be overwhelmed by what I have! I want to realize how greatly God has blessed me and how much love he has surrounded me with. I am blessed with an amazing Husband, 5 healthy, beautiful and incredible children, a fabulous home, a "hobby" that I am passionate about and am able to pursue, I am healthy, I have a God who loves me... I am blessed beyond measure. I am content...

I realize that the journey to contentment is just that... a journey. It will not be achieved in one day or even one year. But being aware is the first step...In order to document this journey, I created a little journal to record my thoughts and experiences thru this coming year.

This little album is from Jenni Bowlin. It is adorable! It is 4x4 in size and the inside pages are all lined papers! Exactly what I want for a journal! So, I decorated the outside and I was good to go! For this project I used Helmar's Acid Free Glue to adhere the paper to the chipboard album and to each other . I also used 450 quickdry to adhere the ribbon. I used the Helmar Fray Stoppa to help the ribbon from fraying. I wanted this journal to have a closure as well, so i used a brad and the ribbon for that. I added some Fray Stoppa to the hole in the ribbon as well to keep it from stretching any further.
I used a chipboard heart from Magistical Memories as a little dangle element on the ring of the album along with the tulle.Supplies: (Jenni Bowlin) Journal album and pin, (Pink Paislee) Papers, (Cosmo Cricket) Alpha's, (Making Memories) Alpha's, Journaling paper, (Recollections) Brad, (Magistical Memories) Chipboard heart, (Ranger) Ink, (Craft supply) Tulle, (Helmar) Acid Free Glue, 450 Quickdry, Fray Stoppa

Thanks so much for stopping by! I have some cards to share with you in the next couple of days! Yes... you read that right... CARDS! :)
I would love to hear your WORD for the year... or your resolution! :) Hmmm... I think this just might call for a RAK (Scrapbooking goodie bag! :) )! Share with me your word or a resolution and I'll enter you in a draw for a RAK of goodies from me!! You must be a follower of my blog to play along... so make sure you are FOLLOWING me!! I will do the draw on Jan 28th! :)

Until Next time...
Happy Scrapping!

Thank you to Simply Renee

Today my last post went live on the Simply Renee Clip-It-Up blog! I have so completely enjoyed my time on this fabulous team! Thanks so much to Renee and the team for their generosity and for giving me this fabulous opportunity! I am looking forward to seeing the talent brought on with the next design team!
In my blog post, I have another video... This one is of my clip it up and how I stire it and use it. It's not great quality... I have a hard time watching my own video's because I'm so critical of myself... and i hate hearing my own voice! LOL! But if you can stand to hear it, feel free to check it out on the Simply Renee blog!
I would like to share with you the project I created for the blog post. I also shared it on the Magistical Memories blog, since it uses the cute little chipboard clouds designed by Amy Teets!
REFLECTIONS from 2010
Supplies: Patterned paper (October Afternoon, Pink Paislee) Alpha (October Afternoon, Cosmo Cricket, Pink Paislee) Felt Embellies (Sassafras Lass) Tag (Tim Holtz) Journaling Spots and mini shaped paper (Jenni Bowlin) Journaling card (My Minds Eye)chipboard clouds (Magistical Memories) Flower (Maya Road) Acrylic star, chipboard arrows (Heidi Swapp) Butterfly sticker (Glitz) Border Punch (Martha Stewart) Template (Crafters Workshop) Premium Craft Glue, Quickfix Adhesive runner (Helmar)

I was wanting to do a page that kind of wrapped up our year... and once I got going thru my photo's on the computer, I decided to choose one thing from each month to document on here. It could not be a birthday... so here is a photo from each month. The journaling is around the outside done by hand... GASP! I know, no journaling strips! LOL!
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog! I want you to know how much I appreciate each of you and how encouraging your comments are! Keep it up and I'll try and improve my tips, techniques and perhaps throw in a video or 2 along the way...
Until next time...

Spellbinders Round One finalist

Well pick my jaw up off the floor!!! I simply can not believe it!! I have been chosen as a finalist for the Spellbinders Design team from Round One!!! See the entire list here! I am in shock!!! But I am just giddy with excitement!!! My goal was to make it thru the first round... but now that I've done that, I want to make it thru ALL of the rounds!!! :) I absolutely would LOVE to be on this team! There are some incredibly talented girls on this list... which contains 45 names... Many of which I have or do design with! Steep competition there! Time to step up my game BIG time!!! :)

While I'm here, I have a project to share with you that I created using Helmar Adhesives and Core'dinations cardstock! We've had a blog swap this week... check it out here...
I have created some of these in the past... but these ones are by far much more beautiful!!! The Core'dinations cardstock makes them absolutely breathtaking!!! I promise that i will prepare a tutorial for them in the next couple of days!!!
These small ones adorned my house this Christmas season. Tree, stairs, garland, kitchen, gifts... everywhere!!! ADDICTED I tell ya!!! I have everyone who walked into the house making them too! No joke! :) I knew I wanted to make a large one as well... so I did! Here's how that turned out...
LOVE IT! The Core'dinations cardstock is from the Jenni Bowlin Core Impressions paper stack. It's absolutely gorgeous paper!!!
Helmar 450 quickdry held my buttons and flowers on these beauties! Can't go wrong with that!!

As promised... tune in by the first of the week for a tutorial! :)
Until then... WOHOOO for Spellbinders round one... and send me all the creative mojo you can spare!!

Paris Creativity Project #4

Well here I am with my 4th and final project for my Guest Design spot with Paris Creativity! And I think this is my favorite project of the 4!! I am so pleased with how well these papers worked for this one!! :) Check it out! Then I will give you a tutorial so that you can complete one for yourself!! :)
I just love making these rolled paper flowers! You can find them on many of my projects... (including this altered cookie tin)... While creating the tin, I had this brainwave to create more Christmassy themed projects with them... and this is what I came up with! The flowers are not at all difficult to make, but they are a bit time consuming. Especially if you are making approximately 50 of them... like I did for this! :) However... it is well worth it! In real life... this is stunning, if I do say so myself! :) Would you like to learn how? Sure you would! Here goes!! Here's what you need...

Supplies:
Patterned paper: I used Paris Creativity Rock Star Diva collection theme pack.
Strong adhesive: I used Helmar liquid scrap dots
Stickles or glitter glue
1 Styrofoam ball
Long stick pins with a large head
2 inch circle punch
Silver thread, ribbon or something to hang it with

How To:
1. Using punch, cut out several circles from patterned paper.
2. As shown in the photo, cut a spiral from outside to center.
3. Starting from the outside, roll tightly to form a flower bud. Tuck final but under and around to form the base.
4. Now, set the flower down, allowing it to uncoil some and relax.
5. Open the bottom flap and apply a nice fat dab of Helmar's liquid scrap dots. If you don't have any... get some! LOL! But for now, you could try a hot glue gun... or another really strong adhesive. Press the flower into the glue and hold for a bit until set.
**At this point, I would set the flower aside and create another... the liquid scrap dots will need some time to cure. There are lots of flowers to be made... :)
6. Once flower is well set, apply a dab of liquid scrap dots to the bottom of the flower and stick to the Styrofoam ball. To hold in place, i stuck a pin thru the center while the Scrap dots cured. Again, if no Scrap dots are available, you could use a glue gun or other strong adhesive.
7. Repeat step #6, adding flowers tightly to each other, thus reducing the amount of Styrofoam visible between. Using a light colored paper helps it to be less visible. If you choose to use a darker colored paper, you might want to paint the Styrofoam before you begin.
8. After the entire ball is filled with flowers, I added a stick pin to the top and tied a silver thread to it. You could use a ribbon or whatever you like for this step! :)
9. Allow the ball to sit overnight to be sure all adhesive has time to set. In the morning, remove all stick pins.
10. Add stickles to each individual flower in a swirling circular motion. Don't be too fussy... it's going to look fabulous when it dries! (You will notice that i had done this before letting it sit overnight. It made a mess on my pins, but if you're ok with that it does cut down on drying time!)
Once this is dry, you are done!! You're ready to gift it... or display it! I had initially planned to hang it on my tree... but it is a bit heavy... so it's more of a kissing ball for me... taking the place of my mistle toe! :) Regardless of where you hang it... be SURE to hang it where it will be seen! Any project that takes that much work deserves it!!
And there you have it!! My Rolled Flower Christmas Ornament!! I do hope that you have found this tutorial helpful! I would LOVE to see any projects that you create using these rolled flowers! I did not come up with the idea for these flowers... there are lots of people who make them... I'm just one person who ADORES them!! So THANKS to the person who first stumbled upon this idea!! :)
Anyway, I gotta go get some gifts wrapped!! They are not going to wrap themselves!! :)
I hope to get back online before Christmas... but in case we miss each other... I want to wish you a MERRY CHRISTMAS! Thanks so much for being a part of my life... ((HUGS))]
Until Next Time...
Haooy Scrapping!

Paris Creativity Guest Designer

Hello all! I hope you are thoroughly enjoying getting ready for Christmas! I know I am... even though it is very crazy around here!!
This week I have the awesome opportunity to be a featured Guest Designer for Paris Hilton's Creativity Collection! Yeah, she has a scrapbooking line! How cool is that eh? The fabulous Deb Famularo sent me some yummy goodies to play with! This week I will be sharing my creations!
First up is a fun and funky Holiday Diva Wreath!

Paris Hilton Creativity Collection Holiday DIVA Wreath
A girl has gotta love all things Diva..., don't you agree? The Flashes and Stars paper pad was total DIVA eyecandy! And with the holiday's approaching, I just had to create a DIVA inspired creation... Take a peek!
To create this holiday DIVA wreath, here's what I did!!
*I reused an old cereal box for the base of it. I cut out a large circle as my base of the wreath.
*Using several sizes of circle punches, I punched lots of circles from the papers and the same # of circles from another cereal box.
*Using Helmar Premium Craft Glue, I glued the paper circles to the cardboard circles.
*I then Sanded the edges to give each circle a finished look.
*Starting with the largest circles, I created the base of the wreath. Then i popped the next size circles using Helmar Zapdots to give the wreath it's fabulous dimension! More and more circles until I had achieved the desired look!
*I added some snowflake eyelettes, some Paris Creativity bling, a chipboard DIVA from my stash, and ribbon to hang it from!
*I decided to add a backround to my wreath, and added some punched snowflakes to top it off!
*Voila!! A Holiday Wreath sure to please any diva!!
Thanks so much for stopping by! Be sure to drop in again this week to see more Paris Creativity creations by Your Truly! :)
Until then...
Happy Scrapping!

Also... don't forget that Helmar is hosting a HOLIDAY BLOG HOP tomorrow! I can't WAIT to see all of the gorgeous projects that will be shared! AMAZING Guest Designers... like Well, you'll just have to drop by to see! :)

I Love Chipboard!

Hello Peeps! :)
It is a rainy Tuesday morning... I'm feeling kinda under the weather so I decided to stay put today. Now here I am sharing with you on my blog instead of dragging 3 kids out in the rain... sounds good to me! :)
I have a new page to share with you that I did for Magistical Memories! I used one of my all time FAVORITE chipboard pieces from them. I also used one of the NEW RELEASES by Amy Teets for MM. Here's what I created...I love the fence piece! This is the first time I used it on a layout, but I adore it! To create the look that I achieved, I painted the fence with brown paint. Then I went over it in white with a dry brush. I love how the dark shows thru and looks like a real white-wash! I have the fence raised up using Helmar's 1/4 inch square black zapdots. These are the perfect height and were so easy to use!
The new release is the clouds! They are so cute! To get the swirly look on them I used white and baby blue liquid pearls. I started with the white and covered the entire cloud in a swirly motion. Then after letting it sit for a minute, I repeated this process with the blue. I really liked the effect! What do you think? I adhered the clouds using Helmar's Premium Craft Glue and one using the Zap Dots again for a little bit of dimension.
TECHNIQUE
To create the distressed frame look in this page, here is what i did...
*Using Helmar Quick Fix Adhesive runner I added the photo to where I wanted it on the page.
*Using a craft knife I cut out the photo and the backround paper aprox 1/4 inch larger than the photo all around.
*After removing this piece from the page, I added the lighter green paper on the BACK of the page, being careful not to put the adhesive too close to the inner edges.
*Then I distressed and curled the inner edges.
*Distressed the edges of the paper around the photo.
*Then I adhered the photo back onto the page, centering it in the hole!
*To help round it out, I added a circle of pearls using the liquid pearls and a Crafters Workshop circle template. But you know me... almost no page is complete without a circle of some sort! :)
Here is a closeup of my journaling for this page. This is #4... he was the most AMAZING little baby! So happy and content! In this photo, he had come along on a getaway weekend with Justin and i for our anniversary! He was SO good! It's a shame him and I both ended up sick with the flu for the weekend! LOL! But he was SOOO good! I'm so thankful for him!
suppiles: Prima PP, felt devine, flowers, Ranger liquid pearls, Basic Grey alpha'sand pearls, Magistical Memories chipboard, Recollections flowers, Helmar Premium Craft glue, Helmar Quick Fix Adhesive runner, Helmar Zap dots, wire twine from Dollarama

Whew... That was a LONG post! Thank you for sticking with me! I hope that I have inspired you or given you some ideas!!
Remember... Magistical Memories makes FABULOUS chipboard! Check it out! And for all your adhesive needs, it's gotta be Helmar!
Thanks for stopping by! And until next time...
Happy Scrappin'!

I just wanted to drop in for a minute and share a quick page with you! It is one that I did for the Magistical Memories October sketch challenge! I realize that it's now Nov... but it's better late then never, right?
CHERISH
I kept the design in this page very simple. I wanted the emphasis to be on the photo's. And
yet I still feel the need for dimension! So, I added a naked chipboard element from Magistical Memories at the top of the photo's. Love that I could use it naked... perfect coloring and so simple! So rather then spend time fancying up my chipboard, I spent my time on a fancy ruffle to go around my page!! I used a lace boarder punch to cut out strips of paper. I cut them aprox 1x12. Then I folded them into pleats. Using the FABULOUS Helmar 450 quickdry, I curved it around the edge of my circle! Believe it or not, the Helmar kept it in place! Whoot! But feeling that the page needed a bit more oomph, I added stitching around the perimeter of the circle! Very simple page... but perfect for the elegant photo's!
supplies: Scribble Scrabble patterned paper, Magistical Memories chipboard, Momenta puffy word sticker and epoxy circle, Martha stewart punches, ZVA bling, Ranger distress inks, Helmar 450 quick dry, Helmar Premium Craft glue

These pics are of my sister and her Fiancee at the time... now Hubby! :) She is simply beautiful and i adore these photo's!
Thanks so much for stopping by! I have several new projects to show you in the near future... so stay tuned! :) I also have some FUN and EXCITING news to share soon! :)
Until Next time... Happy Scrapping!

One of those days...

Hello all! It's been kind of a crappy day around here... no real reason, just too many kids! ROFL! I guess we all have those days, eh? Tomorrow is a new day with no temper tantrums in it... yet! :)
So, to look on the bright side... 10 positive things....

*I spent part of the day with my beautiful niece and had a wonderful time!
*I decided to dress up for our Oct 31st carnival at the church and got a cool funky costume!
*At this moment... all 5 children are sleeping... bliss!
*It seems that all 5 children just might be over all the major sickness!
*I get to go to bed early tonight!
*I am really hoping to spend tomorrow evening creating!
*I bought Seth and Jasmine's birthday gifts today! They both have bday's in Nov!
*I got to have an iced cap today! Ahhhh...
*I .... I.... Ummm... I'm lost... I'll have to settle for 8 positive things! :)

I do have a new layout to show you though! I really love how it turned out! I love when I do a page just for me... using products that I love! So often I do design work... and it's just so amazing to do something just because i want to! So here is my latest page...

Lil' Dancer
I will add my detail shots tomorrow... I see that I forgot to edit them! :)
Isn't that paper gorgeous? It's my first time creating with Girls Paperie papers... but it won't be my last! They are simply gorgeous! And how about those ZVA Creative pearl flourishes? GORGEOUS! Yeah... I sent it in for their design team search! A girl has to dream, right? What a dream come true THAT would be!! Wish me luck!! :)
Anyway, I really should sign off if I'm going to get to bed early like I am hoping! :) But I wanted to share this page... because it makes me happy... I love it! :) It's very much all of the things I love about scrapbooking! :) shaped papers, fussy cutting, stitching, distressing, chipboard, swirls, flowers, pearls, butterflies... Ahhhh... it just doesn't get much better than this! And of course, it's all held together with my favorite Helmar adhesives...
There... I knew I'd feel better after blogging! :)
Until next time... Happy Scrapping!!

*************************************************
Today I have a layout to share with you. I am not much of a Halloween kinda gal, though looking at all of the AMAZING projects my Helmar Hotties created sure is inspiring! Instead, I chose to share a fall themed project with you.
This past weekend we celebrated THANKSGIVING here in Canada! I have SO much to be grateful for, that I could not pass up the opportunity to create a project with this in mind!
THANKFUL
Here are a few detail shots to give you a feel for the dimension on this page! There are 7 layers of paper on here! SO much fun!!!
In creating this page, I used 2 Helmar products... Premium Craft Glue and Helmar Gemstone glue!
Everything on this page was adhered using the Premium Craft Glue! The papers, the chipboard, the lace, the ribbon, buttons, my journaling strips... EVERYTHING!!! This glue does it ALL! It dries clear and has a FANTASTIC hold! Seriously... I'll never use any other adhesive for the bulk of my page! I'm so THANKFUL for Helmar's Premium Craft Glue!! :)
Now, I also used some Gemstone glue... can you guess where I used it? Yes, you got it! On my little apple tree!!! Here's a quick tutorial using Gemstone glue to make your own apple tree!!

You will need:
Helmar Gemstone Glue
Maya Road chipboard tree (or other tree)
Red Glitter
Large toothpick or wooden skewer
Glimmer mist or paint
1. Paint tree green trunk/branches brown.
2.Using toothpick, dip small dabs of gemstone glue randomly over green part of the tree. These do not have to be all the same size.
3. Sprinkle with LOTS of red glitter over a piece of scrap paper. Let sit for just a second or 2.
4. Shake off glitter and tap several times to get off the excess. Let sit until dry... approx 5 minutes. Then you should be able to brush off the extra sprinkles of glitter without smearing your "apples"!
5. Add the tree trunk and branches using the Premium Craft Glue! Your Apple tree looks good enough to eat! :)
Thank you SO much for stopping by! As a special THANK YOU to you, I'm offering up a goodie filled RAK of my own to give away! How do you win?
