Extra Special

Hey all! Summer is now officially here! School is out! WAHOO! No more lunches, catching the bus, schedules... I'd say no more early mornings but the baby may not go along with that one! :)

Today I have a project to share with you using some FABULOUS Crate Paper!! Yep, they have a Design Team Call going on right now, so it's a great time to be using their AWESOME products, don't ya think? :) Love their stuff... so unique and so versatile! :)

I also used some of the LETTERBOX STAMPS from MyStampBox on this one as well! This is my last project for MyStampBox... but of course I'll still be using their fabulous stamps!!

EXTRA SPECIAL
I did this page to remind my only daughter that being the only girl in our family makes her extra special! She wanted this last baby to be a girl SOO badly... but when she realized that it was not and that we are not having any more... she was a bit disappointed to say the least. Being the only girl amongst 4 boys gives her a very special place, and just makes her EXTRA SPECIAL!
Here is a closeup of the stamping... I used the LETTERBOX stamp set. I added some stickles to them to give it some extra PIZAZZ! They are also raised using Helmar's 1/2 inch round Zapdots. Had fun making this banner...
As you can tell in this shot, I used the Helmar Zapdots in more places than just the title! I loved raising my patterned paper as well as my photo using them! For my fussy cutting I used the Helmar Liquid Scrap Dots to give some dimension to the outside edges of my flowers. This works so awesomely! (not a word... but it works! :) )
So there you have it!! An Extra Special page for my Extra Special girl!! Thanks for stopping by!!
Until next time... Happy Scrapping!!
~Tina~

Crate Paper PP, Chipboard accents and diecut stickers, MyStampBox Stamps, Ranger stickles and liquid pearls, American Crafts thickers, Around The Block Paper ribbon, Prima Pearls, Helmar Liquid Scrap Dots, Helmar 1/2 inch round Zapdots, Helmar Premium Craft Glue

Momenta Reveal

Hello all!
I apologize for being so neglectful of my poor little blog. I have been creating though... so I have some goodies to share!!
I'd like to share my May creations for Momenta with you! May you ask? Yes, I received my box from them on June 1st... so I'm a bit behind! LOL! But none the less... I do have some goodies to share!!
Altered Candy Container
This first project is an altered Candy cone that DH got me chocolates in for Christmas! I kept the cardboard container because I knew I wanted to recreate it!! And I did! I used the Black Tie line from Momenta! Beautiful!
WHAT ARE YOU THINKING?
Another creation using the black tie line. Added a splash of green for color. I adore the chipboard embellishments in this line... those flowers are gorgeous and none too girly either! And those chipboard letters... SWOON!! I adopted the idea of the stitched circle and buttons from my scrappy crush Amanda Muirhead (Who just made the Prima DT I might add!! WHOOT!)
This is my middle son... who changes moods like the wind! Happy, sad, giddy mad... all in about 3 seconds! LOL! He's a complex little guy though... never quite know what's going on in that curly little head of his... :)
EXPLORE
This LO is probably my least favorite of my May creations. It's a bit different style for me in some ways... but i still like it! :) This was created using the WISH YOU WERE HERE Page kit from Momenta. I don't do a lot of traveling but thought that I could incorporate these embellies into a page about the journey of life.
I also used my favorite stamp set from My StampBOX on this page!! The Wishing you Sunshine clouds! LOVE THEM!!

Beautiful You
This is my favorite page from this series. It is of my beautiful sister. I adore the colors here... LOVE the Damask shapes and those puffy words are too cool! Love that I could bend them to go around my circle!!

And that is what i have to share with you today!! I am now anxious to put in my order for more new Momenta goodies! SO much more that I want!!! You can order your own goodies here...

So, until Next time... HAPPY SCRAPPING!!!

As you know I'm the sketch designer for Magistical Memories. I had a blast creating this LO using my May sketch! Here's the sketch... and my LO!
For the tree I used the Magistical Memories tree found here... and it only costs $1.25!! LOVE IT!! I painted it with 2 colors of glimmer mist, backed it with Pink Paislee paper and added a Martha Stewart punched butterfly to it! Perfect touch!
Don't you LOVE the dimension of the sun and clouds here! I used the fabulous Helmar Liquid Scrap Dots for this! I used this LO for my Helmar blog post last week, so go check it out to find out all about these fun scrap dots!! The sun and clouds are from one of my favorite myStampBOX stamp sets... Wishing you Sunshine!Supply List: Adhesive: Helmar Quick Fiz Adhesive Runner, Helmar Liquid Scrap Dots , Helmar Premium Craft Glue**Patterned Paper: American Crafts, Pink Paislee**Alpha's: Pink Paislee, Websters Pages**Chipboard: Magistical Memories **MyStampBox Stamps**Tattered Angles Glimmer Mist**Basic Grey bling**Martha Stewart Butterfly punch

Do you know that you can win some AWESOME Magistical Memories chipboard goodies? All you have to do is create a LO based on my sketch and upload it by May 31 for your chance to win! I can't wait to see what you create!!

While I'm here, I want to wish my amazing Hubby a HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!! Today we celebrate 10 years of marriage... I have been so blessed! Love you baby!! xoxo

Be Real

When Basic Grey came out with the Porcelain line, I just had to have it! And yet I have hoarded it and used it very little! This LO called for it... and I'm thrilled with how it worked on here! This photo was taken on DD's first day of grade 2 in Sept 09. I just love the sincerity on her face...

BE REAL
This page is inspired by the sketch of the week from Capture these Sketches by Guylaine. I LOVED this sketch! You have to check it out!! Remember to send in your version using it for your chance to win as well! See details on the sketch blog!! We used die cuts from our April Sponsor which was Kustom Die Kuts. That is where the heart came from! Thanks Ally!
In creating this page I made my own flowers using more papers from the porcelain line! They
are so easy to make, and yet SO adorable!! As a base under the flowers, I used this chipboard shape from Magistical Memories... I inked it using green ink and added stickles to it to give it some shine! Adding the handmade flowers and some Prima leaves finished it off perfectly!!
As a final touch to my page, i just couldn't resist adding something to the top left of the page! i decided on using a seal stamp from the SEAL IT stamp set from myStampBOX. I stamped the CUTIE/Sweat pea seal (using the same green ink as on the chipboard) onto white cardstock and cut out using a circle punch. I layered that over a scalloped circle. Added a few other goodies to finish it off and voila!! My page was complete!!
Supplies:
**PP, diecut stickers, bling: Basic Grey ** Stamps: myStampBOX **Alpha: American Crafts Thickers **Button: Jenni Bowlin
**Ink: Tsukineko, Ranger **Chippboard: Magistical Memories ** Stickles: Ranger ** Diecut heart: Kustom Die Kuts ** Butterfly punch: Martha Stewart **Leaves: Prima **Adhesive: Helmar
**Paper Doily: Dollar store

Thanks so much for stopping by!! Your comments are always such an encouragement! :)

26 days to go until baby #5 is due... AHHHHH!!
Stop by tomorrow for info on a baby related RAK! :) Until then.... Happy Scrapping!!

Here's a bit about Lynda...

Hi, my name is Lynda Lindley and I live in the beautiful state of Washington with my husband and two girls. I have been a papercrafter for over twenty years now; starting out as a stamper and moving into scrapbooking and other areas. I love ink and don't seem to be able to complete a project unless it is included on it somewhere. I draw inspiration from everything around me and tend to craft "in the moment" a lot without a plan other than to have fun!
Thank you again for this exciting opportunity!!!
Lynda

in 2010 Just Do It
(sorry for the photography of this LO... I had the WORST time trying to get things to look straight when cropping it... so I decided less cropping was better...)

*********************** My PARTY Idea!! ***************************
Hostess Gift: Barn Star Ornament/gift tags

How many Christmas parties do you go to each year? Ever get ready to go out the door and say"Oops! I ment to have something to give the hostess!!" I do it ALL the time! Good intentions, right? Well, Here is a quick and simple project that you can make up in about 20 minutes that your host is sure to enjoy!!
Barn stars are all the rage this year! But did you know they are SUPER easy to make? I created this simple set of 3 in about 20 minutes!!
I used the Merry Mr Snowman MSB stamp set! I stamped the Merry Christmas sentiment all over the stars before cutting them out and folding them! What a beautiful rustic look it gave them! They can be used as Christmas tree ornaments, hung on a garland or used as tags on your beautifully wrapped gifts!

I hope these stars find their way onto your tree this holiday season! And just maybe take a set along to your next party as a little thank you gift for your hostess!!

Check back to my blog next week for a dressed up version and some detailed instructions on how to make your own!!

Would you like to win a set of these cute little stars made just for you, by me? If so, leave a comment and become a follower of my blog! I'll do the draw on Friday and one lucky gal will get a set of these for their own!! :)

Now on to
Marci 's blog to catch more fun ideas for all kinds of parties! Don't forget to leave a comment on each blog to be eligible for our blog hop prize! Good luck!

Let's Capture These Sketches # 18

This weeks sketch was created by Susan Coish!! I had so much fun, I actually created 2 LO's!! LOL! In all honesty, i was having an off night, so i wasn't truely pleased with either one, so i jsut kkept createing! LOL!
Anwho... The sketch is posted on the sketch blog and here is my take on it... my favorite one anyway!!

I also was playing with my My Stamp Box stamps, and created this funky spotted border using the colon sign!!! ::::::::::::: So fun and funky!!! These stamps are just TOO versatile!! :)
These hands... are TOO funny! They are foam... I got them in a kit a couple of years ago and said "WTH will I EVER do with these???" Then, i was cleaning out my scrappy closet and came across them the day after I started this LO! How perfectly they fit!! Who would have ever know! Lesson... Never say never!! LOL!
Sorry for the wonky picture... it's raining out and i was anxious to post for the sketch blog. Will retake once it STOPS RAINING!! :)
I used lots of goodies from the Nov Sussies kit in this page too!! Those kits are just too fun!!

Where's the 2nd LO you ask? Waiting for a NON rainy day! And I used mist and stickles so it's a bit rumpled... SO annoying!
But until next time... Happy Scrapping!

Shame on me! Updates!!

i can't believe it's been so long since I've updated this thing! Oops! I had been doing so well too!! Oh well, life happens and gets in the way sometimes... right?
Nothing too much new or exciting...
i have resigned from a couple of my Design teams... Very sad to do so, but it was just time. In Sept I said good bye to Mon Ame Memories. And here in October i designed with my last Scrapbook Sussies kit. It's just time... I need to find myself again... Find my own style, use my own scrappy stash... you know how it goes, right? i loved these teams, and already miss them... but this is a good thing.
So I'm focusing in on the Capture These Sketches team... which is having a DT call on right now! 2 more days left to apply!!! :) That, and My Stamp Box. I really want to do well on these and don't want to spread myself too thin... With each of these i get to use stuff from my own stash.. which is huge!! i forgot how much beautiful stuff i had! Now I get to play with it more!

Speaking of My Stamp box... go check out their blog...today was my first day to post on there!! It's Wed, so i got to post a challenge!! Check it out here... I am LOVING working with these stamps!!

And I suppose i should leave you with a few scrappy projects...

Capture These Sketches Card Sketch #3
... designed by ME!! :)
You'll never guess what I did here... When i did the stitching... yes, you guessed it! i stitched my card SHUT!!! ROFL!!!!! Only me!! :) I used the Kind Flower stamps from My Stamp Box to stamp the THANK YOUs on the circle... and for the flower on the bottom. I stamped it twice and cut them out. Added stickles and a button and used a foam square to mount it!

Capture These Sketches Card Sketch #1 by Calia
I used the Oval Office stamps from My Stamp Box for the Sentiment here!
New LO's Created for My Stamp Box Blog:

Thanks so much for stopping by! I love to read your comments, so be sure to say Hi and let me know you were here!! :)
Happy Scrapping!
