Miss Arts Papercrafting School
My class is going to go live around the first of Nov... SO much fun!!! I am not telling the theme of the class just yet though! You'll have to wait a bit longer to find that out!
If you are not familiar with Miss Arts, it is an online classroom, where you are taught thru videos. The classes are technique based, and are always a great challenge! There are 101 classes, which are fun and interesting! And there are 201 level classes, which are more challenging and have more to them! So no matter what level of a crafter you are, you can always take something away!! Check out the website for more information on subscribing. It'd DEFINITELY recommend it.. and not just cause I'm going to be teaching there! :) But that's not a bad reason either! :)
Thanks for stopping by... Before you leave, I have a quick card/envelope set to show you that I created for Spellbinders. They use the AWESOME new Edgabilities!!! Check out the gallery on the brand new Spellbinders website for more information on this card set.
Until Next time...
Happy Scrapping!

Spiral Blossoms andTissue Paper
So, here I am to share with you a card and a tutorial for creating blossoms from tissue paper using the Spellbinders S4-351 Spiral Blossoms One.
AND... You can cut felt, foam, fabric and TISSUE PAPER!! Today I want to show you the project that I created using Tissue paper!! I am in LOVE with the look it created!! Check it out!
1. I began with tissue paper folded into about 8 layers. The more layers of tissue, the more layers in your flower.
2. Then I placed the die template on the tissue paper. I ran it thru the Grand Calibur(T). I did not run it thru a second time to emboss it.
3. I removed the tissue from the die template. Be very careful not to separate the layers of tissue. If they separate it is much harder to create the flower.
4. Beginning on the outside, I began rolling the spiral. Keep the roll tight and try not to let the layers separate. It is ok to have a fold or pucker occasionally. It is better than having it separate.
5. Once it is rolled, fold the end under. Now carefully allow the spiral to unravel a bit. This will create a beautiful, loose rose.
6. Add adhesive under the layers of tissue on the bottom to hold the flower together. Where there are 8 layers, you will need to use adhesive on all 8 layers. (I am wondering if I could have done this before rolling my flower… Hmmm… I’ll try that next time,.. J )
7. Before you allow the adhesive to dry, separate the layers of the tissue paper slightly if needed… much of this will happen on it‘s own. Shape it to suit the desired look. Then add your flower center!!
8. You can cut leaves using tissue paper as well if you like. I stamped the leaf image using ?Heartfelt Creations Distressed Leaves And then diecut. I gave it a shot of glimmer mist to complete it…
And there you have a gorgeous Tissue Paper rose!!
Remember, if you don’t have a Grand Calibur die cutting machine (yet) you can also run Spellbinders Die Templates thru other die cutting machines (like the Big Shot or Cuttlebug)… There is a chart inside of each Die Template package to help you with the plate layers! Isn’t that Fabulous??
Do remember though that the Grand Format die templates will not fit in the smaller machines, such as the Cuttlebug, as they need the 8 ¼” plate size of the Grand Calibur (T) .
I hope you enjoyed my quick tutorial today and are excited to try die cutting with TISSUE PAPER!! I know I have lots more ideas up my sleeves!
Thanks for stopping by! I will be back soon with a Fall themed layout for you, featuring my adorable 2 yr old! So…
Until Next Time…
Happy SCRAPPING!!
