ZOMERS WANDKASTJE/WALL CUPBOARD

Ik ben nu al weer een week terug uit Sevilla maar wat mis ik de zon en de warmte. Dus maar even een zonnig blogje vandaag. 

It's already a week ago that I returned from Sevilla but how I miss the sun and the heath. So a sunny post for today.  

Dit kastje heb ik via marktplaats gekocht. 

I bought this little cupboard on E-bay

Ik heb het een zonnig kleurtje gegeven met krijtverf. 

I gave it a sunny color with chalkpaint.

Ik vond het nog een beetje saai toen het klaar was dus heb ik de nummers erin gesjabloneerd.

I felt that it needed something extra when I was done painting so I stenciled the numbers with white paint. 

Daarna heb ik het kastje licht doorgeschuurd en afgewerkt met witte verniswas van Polyvine.

After that I sanded it back and finished it with white varnish wax from Polyvine.

Voor de foto heb ik even wat bootjes en schelpen geleend van de kamer van zoonlief. De houten visjes hangen bij mij in de keuken.

For the photography I borrowed the little boats and shells from my son's room. The wooden fishes are hanging in my kitchen. 

Een leuk kastje voor een zomerhuis aan zee, of in de veranda of voor een kinderkamer of.....

I think it would do great in a summerhouse by the sea, or on the porch, or in a childeren's room, or....

WAXINELICHT/CANDLE JAR

In mijn vorige blog schreef ik al dat ik druk bezig ben voor de koniginnendagmarkt. Behalve mijn tafeltjes wil ik ook wat kleiner spul verkopen. Zo heb ik deze waxinelichten gemaakt van jam- en andere potten.

Next tuesday (Queensday in Holland) I will be selling my home made stuff on a market together with some friends. You already know my painted tables but I also made these candle jars.

Voor een mooie zomeravond, leuk in de boom....

For a nice summerevening they look lovely in the tree.....

Ik had het kant nog liggen en wist eigenlijk niet wat ik ermee zou doen. 

I already had the lace but didn't know what to do with it.

 

Jute met schelpendecoratie.

De hartjes heb ik van klei gemaakt.

The little hearts were made of clay.

Ook leuk, in de veranda aan een tak.

Also nice, in our porch hanging on a branch. 

 

De sjablonen heb ik zelf uitgesneden.

I cut out the stencils myself.

Met de kaarsjes aan.

With the candles on.

Mijn vakantie is vandaag begonnen dus ik heb nog lekker de tijd om het een en ander voor te bereiden. 

Today my holiday started so I have a lot of time to prepare for the market.

TAFEL/TABLE SUMMERTIME

Deze week weer hard gewerkt en het resultaat is een zomers tafeltje wat graag een wit voetje komt halen.

This weeks transformation is a sunny table with cute white legs.

Zo vond ik hem bij de kringloop.

This is how I found it at the second hand store.

En het eindresultaat. Vinden jullie ook niet dat de witte pootjes het tafeltje net wat extra's geven?

The final result. Don't you think that the white legs give the table jus a little bit extra?

Een leuke tekst geeft het tafeltje net wat extra's. 

The text makes it just a little different.

The tekst is er met de hand opgeschilderd.

The text is handpainted.

Ik heb krijtverf gebruikt van Abondanza via Decoratieve Verftechnieken.

I used chalkpaint from Abondanza, 

Eindelijk mooi weer dus de foto's heb ik gemaakt in de Veranda.

Finally the weather is nice so I made the pictures outside in the porch.

Ik heb net een kleine cursus fotograferen gehad van mijn mannetje, dus vandaar, nogal veel foto's.

I just had a quick photografy course from my hubby so therefore, a lot of photos of this project.

Ik denk dat dit tafeltje het goed zou doen in een zomer- of strandhuisje.

I think this table will do great in a summer- or beachhouse.
