As usual, I forgot that my blog had gotten older, once again... Hooray for the three-year-old! I can't think of how much joy this blog has brought me and that it is all because of the great music there is.
Instead of blabbing more about this silly blog of mine I encourage you to check out another site that is currently celebrating its 10-year anniversary. One Chord to Another is a brilliant site (nowadays a blog) that has introduced me to dozens of great bands from Finland and elsewhere. The focus is on folk/country, americana, power pop, indie pop, and other cool things.

The Geek Is Back
I have returned… Finally! I wasn’t really gone but still didn’t write anything for (more than) a month. I certainly wrote all the time in my head but that’s not much of a consolation for people who visited this blog and found a quite dead-looking site. Sorry, folks. I’m really sorry.
I have noticed one curious thing: I hardly listen to any power pop these days! Believe me, there have been times when there was nothing else I would rather listen to… I still do love PP but I have had other things in mind – such as the Beatles! Well, that’s pretty power pop now that I think about it.
To be honest, I’ve been thinking about turning this blog into an Oldies Blog, or something like that... I nowadays spend so much time listening to old stuff that I basically have no idea what is happening in the world of new releases. I was quite surprised to quickly find out that I own five albums that were released in 2009. That’s a lot more than zero.
So, I will write some more soon and blab about what’s been going on. Music is more important to me than ever and I have really just begun to realize how much it means to me.

Happy Birthday ToM!
How embarrassing! I forgot that my blog was about to turn one year old. Now I'm already late.. Still, better late than never, they say.
Thoughts on Melody was born in Helsinki, Finland on February the 4th, 2008, although the idea had been bouncing inside my head for some time. During its first year ToM went through a couple of visual changes, moved its headquarters from Helsinki to Tampere and was decorated with about 80 posts and 40 comments. To be honest, that's more posts and comments than I ever expected.
Even though the actual benefits of the publicity of this blog still remain pretty unclear (people just don't tend to comment on things that much), I'm very eager to continue with this little therapy project of mine. There is always something to blab about..
So, congrats to me and my blabber and big thanks to visitors and everyone who's left a comment! Special thanks goes of course to the artists. This blog wouldn't exist without you! You mean a lot to me.
