Crafty Friend

Hi peeps, I'm dropping in with my last post for Fresh Squeezed Stamps! I wanted to make a card that I could share with all of you to say thanks for your comments and crafty friendship!

Paper, Scissors, Ink just sums up everything we love about paper crafting! I've stamped on vellum with a pigment ink, and hidden my pop dots under the strip of light blue paper. Sequins and a die cut heart from Reverse Confetti's Love Note finish this simple design.

The layout is this week's Seize the Sketch!

Here's a peek inside...

Pop over and see what the sketchers have made this week!

Hang in There

Hi friends! It's my turn over at the Fresh Squeezed Stamps blog today. As I'm coming to the end of my term with Fresh Squeezed Stamps, I wanted to revisit my first set, String Me Along!

I paper pieced the lanterns, using a foam mat and large ball stylus to shape them before adhering with foam dots. It gives them a lovely rounded appearance.

The paper is Hey Kid by Pink Paislee. The layout is the current Seize the Sketch - there's still time to play!

Thanks for stopping by!

Home.

Hi friends! I'm here sharing a card made for Fresh Squeezed Stamps, using the new Seize the Sketch layout!

Fresh Squeezed Stamps is having a Spring Cleaning sale, and this set, Friendly Folk is on the list! I hear you may even be able to win these stamps for your very own! Stop by the Fresh Squeezed Stamps blog for all the details!

Here's the sketch...

And my card...

I used some rustic feeling papers from the Basic Grey Fact paper pad, adding splatters of distress ink in barn door and paper piecing the house. I love that sentiment, it seems like it should be stitched on a sampler! I really love that rustic shaped heart as well.

Stop by and leave the sketchers some love, they have gorgeous cards to share!

Romantic Tag

Hello there! It's my day over on the Fresh Squeezed stamps blog, and I'm sharing a sweet little tag today.

Cross stitch influences are everywhere in paper crafting right now, and this gorgeous example from Love Signs is right on trend! I paired it with some soft colours, lace and that beautiful bliss banner stamp for a romantic look. Stamping in chocolate rather than black adds to the softer look of this tag.

I'm linking up to the Pink Elephant's love challenge this week!

I love tags, they make a simple gift stand out! My little bag of chocolates is also stamped with one of the sentiments from When Hearts Collide - these two sets work so well together!

One Layer Birthday

Hi friends, I'm popping in with a back to basics one layer card for a pretty princess on her first birthday!

Often I find myself caught up with the latest gadgets, and needing a reminder of why I love this craft in the first place - the simple joy of lifting a stamp and seeing that magical image transferred to paper! I have a one layer card today using, count 'em - 1,2,3,4 Fresh Squeezed Stamp sets! Don't they work so well together?

I had a vision of pink birthday balloons floating over a city. I stamped in three shades of pink ink - the skyline from On Trend 2013, balloons from Life of the Party, little hearts (to match the heart window in the skyline - have you ever noticed that?) from When Hearts Collide and sentiment from Take a Number.

I think this could easily be turned into a sweet Valentine's card by switching to a sentiment from When Hearts Collide!

Hello Handsome

Hi friends! It's my day on the Fresh Squeezed Stamps blog today and I'm sharing a sweet clean and simple baby card.

My cousin's wife just had a beautiful baby boy, so the 'hello handsome' sentiment from Say Anything was perfect! I wanted to paper piece the bear from Arctic Friends, so pulled out some blue scraps from my stash.

I cut apart the paw image so I could give him some top paws as well as little feet - you could also just mask off one paw if you don't like to perform stamp surgery!

I've used a natural flecked cream card base to keep everything soft and match the sponging.

Diagonals are hot right now! I accented the die cut strip with a bow tied on the diagonal. I can't wait to go shopping for something adorable to go with this card!

Fresh Squeezed Stamps Sneak Peek - Love Signs

Hello! It's time for a love filled sneak peek at the upcoming release from Fresh Squeezed Stamps! Today the team got inky with Love Signs, this set is so fun!

I went for a simple layout, highlighting my fave image from the set...

Isn't that an adorable checklist?! I've selectively inked a small heart from another image in the set to fill in the box. I made good use of the gorgeous patterned paper and I love how the bliss banner matches the one printed on the paper! I stamped over top the die cut circle to get the placement right before paper piecing the banner.

It's time to head on over to the Fresh Squeezed Stamps blog - not only will you find some amazing samples from my wonderful teamies, but you can enter to win the Love Signs set!!

Crafty Gift Box

Hello and happy 2014! I'm stopping in today to share a gift box perfect for the crafty friend in your life!

I've stamped the awesome subway style image from Paper, Scissors, Ink repeatedly on pink cardstock before turning it into a gift box. I wanted a tag with lots of punch, so adhered strips of leftover cardstock together before embossing the sentiment in white.

I cut my strips random widths, but love how it all worked out to highlight parts of the stamp!

Wishing you a fabulous, happy, healthy and VERY crafty 2014!

Get Your Elf On - Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas! As you read this, it's already Christmas Day here in New Zealand! I'm sharing one last Christmas project today, these tags could easily be adapted for Valentine's Day or any other occasion (unless you want to get started on your Christmas list for next year?!)

I needed a LOT of gift tags this year. Hello December and Holiday Tag Alongs to the rescue! When I'm mass producing, I turn to my trusty old punches, rather than cranking the die cut machine. I stamped a full sheet of the elf sentiment, then punched them all at once. The tag is just a rectangle with a quick strip of washi tape and a punched edge.

I stamped the date directly on the washi tape using Staz On ink. The to and from were also stamped with Staz On just to simplify things. A little gold cord bow finishes off the tags! These really pop against the red and white wrapping I've used this year. A little extra handmade to make everyone feel special!

Wishing you a fabulous day with your loved ones. Lots of hugs!

Love from Wallrus

Hello friends! It's my day to share some Fresh Squeezed Stamps cuteness! I love the Arctic Friends set and it was high time I stamped the walrus. I think he just might be my favorite of the three cute critters you can build with this set!

My layout today is CAS(E) this sketch #57. I colored with copics, using pointillism for some added texture. The sentiment is also from Arctic Friends, and the little heart is part of a sentiment I've cut apart from Say Anything. I inked and stamped the heart once, then reinked just the base and stamped again for simple shading.

Don't they just melt your heart?! Thanks for stopping by!

Made With Love

Hello friends!  It's my day to post at Fresh Squeezed Stamps and I'm taking a break from Holiday cards to share a card perfect to congratulate a new pregnancy or baby. I've combined String Me Along and Say Anything today.

Rather than keeping with all pink or blue, I've used both and matched the ink to the patterned paper (Cut and Paste Flair by MME).

I did a little stamp surgery to create this card!  I really wanted a heart stamped on the onesie from String Me Along, so I cut apart one of the sentiments in Say Anything.  I embossed the hearts in white and trimmed out the images, popping them up with foam dots.  The sentiment was curved slightly before stamping on a banner die cut.  Here's the inside of the card...

I've used just the "hello" from the Hello Handsome sentiment for a take on hello baby!

Thanks for stopping by!
