the tape was flipped after meet ze monstah ended, and before my beautiful Leah started. the cassette ran out just after PJ says thank you following to bring you my love, which the last song of the show. the ending announcements were spliced in seamlessly from a second recording made at the same time from the same receiver to another naka. deck and maxell XLII cassette.

this is the 1st of a couple of PJ Harvey shows I recorded and have never circulated before. both are from Boston, the other is a couple of years after this show. I don't know the band lineup for the 2000 show, but this band and setlist should be right. this is her full show broadcasted live on WBCN FM radio as it happened. (the other is too) or as it was also known, the "boston concert network" that's what it stands for and "PJ Harvey" stands for Polly Jean Harvey. (not pajamas) apparently a few here like her, and a few of her shows are posted here so here's a new one to add to the archives. she was quite popular here. very well appreciated.

Excellent recording of show at the Vattenfestivallen (Water Festival), Stockholm, on 11 August 1998. Sourced from fm radio, the sound is excellent, with the vocals almost unnervingly clear and immediate. Her performance is almost as good as any from this late 1998 period, which seems to have been a high point for her stage performances, along with 1993, 1995 and early 2003... The original was torrented in late 2007, but has since dropped off the tracker. Radio air-checks have been edited out, and various glitches removed -

Track 3. The intro to the song was missing a few bars, which I've replaced with another source for the show

Excellent, properly-chaptered pro-shot DVD of PJ Harvey's appearance on the main stage at the Eurockéennes Festival in Belfort, France, on 3 July 2004.  The audio and video quality is excellent.  The material is, as usual for this tour, heavily slanted towards her most recent album, "Uh huh her".  She cracks up laughing during "Down by the Water", as she often does - the drummer and the keyboardist have traded places for the song, and the former somehow (we don't see it exactly) cracks her up...  There is bonus footage of seven tracks from her performance at the Benicassim Festival, Spain on 5 August 2001, also in excellent pro-shot quality.

Pro-shot DVD of concert at The Chicago Metro on 1 July 1993. The quality is equivalent to 2nd generation video - a bit of blurring but still good. The audio is soundboard, but some hiss has developed with the transfers It's an excellent show for all that - the band is a stripped-down three-piece, which suits the music very well. PJ briefly loses it while singing "Man-Size", ?laughing at something in the audience. PJ introduces Gallon Drunk at the end, who appear on stage for the last two tracks "because it's our last night [on tour] with them".
