Found Drop #1922

Dear Toy society. My name is Sadie and I found a Drop.  I am 4 years old and I found Jake the llama in a kids shopping cart in Ben franklin,  Monroe, Washington USA, while shopping with my mom. I could not believe my eyes. I was so excited that he was all mine for free. I have already grown to love him & he loves my new room & his new friends, so please Thank SJ & Chaz for making Jake with love & kindness. He has found a home who will love him♥

My son found this toy in Port Melbourne on his way to an autism therapy session.  He thought someone had left him a surprise birthday present as it was his birthday the week before and was very excited!

Hello my boys with the drop.

My eldest found it and was very concerned about the chid who must have lost it – when I explained it was a present from someone the joy in his face was great – he immediately told his brother they were taking it home.  

They both love it are happy to share, this is a fantastic wonderful idea it brightened up my day too and continues to do so when I think of people out there making toys for children they don't know, not for profit it's great. THANKS Amanda, Marcello and Artzai.

Dear Ieva & the Toy Society,

This sleepy cat was found in Sibelius Park playground in Pori, Finland.

It was found today, on 7th September 2013, by Tiira with her sister Tyrni and father Marko. It was named Ilma ("Air").

After serious family negotiations it was decided that Ilma sleeps every second night in Tiira's and every second night in Tyrni's bed.

As Ilma seems to be very tired, it's now taking a daytime nap it this toy house.

1 x Turtle was found by my daughter Kendra, at  the Belmont Volcano park on Sunday 8-9-13.
She has become very attached to Tira the Turtle (as she has named her), I would like to thank Kim for making her, and the mystery person who dropped her off.
Kendra is very loving of her toys, and you can rest assured that when Kendra is finished with her, she will be passed on lovingly to another lucky child.

Today I had my Secret Toy Society experience & it really couldn't have come at a better time - it honestly bought a tear to my eye &; touched my heart.

For the past few years I've given up my spare time & worked voluntarily for a severe postnatal mental illness charity after suffering myself 7 yrs ago out of the blue. The work is very rewarding knowing that we're providing much needed support to women & their families where previously there was none. The service we provide & the difference we're making as a charity is amazing but it can be pretty tough going at times & both physically & emotionally draining!

This morning I'd arrived for an interview to make my role a part-time paid position & was feeling frazzled, tired & overwhelmed. I'd been up until the early hours supporting people I know only virtually on our online community. I was wondering if I was doing the right thing & if it was worth giving up all my time & energy to strangers who I'd never meet.

I found the fairy hanging off the railings next to where I'd parked my car & I smiled when I realised how perfect she was. She's got long dark hair with plenty of grey bits (just like me) & she has attitude (just like me when I fight the stigma & ignorance). And I couldn't believe that she's purple - we hold fundraising Purple Parties each year because the illness is sometimes called 'puerperal psychosis' - how apt!

She reminded me of the power of strangers & how they can really touch the lives of others even from a distance. She reminded me how big changes can be made by small gestures (the ripple effect) & how important it is that we reach out to others to help them through their struggles. In a way, I saw it as confirmation that I was doing the right thing & shouldn't lose faith, that I should continue striving to improve things for new mums & families in crisis & that it all really was worthwhile.

I've called her 'Ana Hope' as to me she was the perfect symbol of hope at just the right time. She's now my unofficial charity mascot & will be found at many of our purple events. Thank you Ana for your kindness, you've done more good than you'll ever know!

Hello, we were on a bike ride up in the hills and ended up totally lost as we had missed the right turn off for the track home.  We were looking at the map when we noticed this little bag hanging from a post.  On closer inspection we found this lovely little surprise inside! So we named him lucky as we felt very lucky to have become lost so that we could find him!  He had an adventurous ride back to his new home with us on the handle bars (the long way home) and has now settled in very nicely as part of our family :) He made us all feel very happy.  Thank you so much for putting so much love and care into making him.   He will be treasured! xo
