Fake and unseasonal and not even new, these are the flowers that I have for you.  This garden garb has been growing in my to-be-posted folder since spring.  That's why you see a school bus in the first pic.  So I figured I'd better post it before school starts up again.

Because the only thing worse than missing the bus is missing a bus-y bloom print. 🚌💐

They say that familiarity breeds contempt, and maybe with most things that's true.  Like people who start out as fun but end up shredding your nerves into razor-thin cheddar.  But when it comes to other things, putting the same-old on repeat is a comfort.  Which is one of the reasons I wore my Easter hat again.  And also why I love reruns.

Whether I'm testing my glucose, walking in place, or editing pics, it's reassuring to have The Golden Girls, Friends, or The Office humming in the background.  Partly because I already know what's going to happen.  Partly because no matter how complicated a fix Rose, Ross, or Michael get into, in the end, they make it through okay.  But also, paradoxically, because every time I see an old episode, I learn something new.

It's funny how something as "dumb" as TV can give you much-needed perspective.

Kind of like how a ridiculous hat can help keep your head on straight.

In case you can't tell, these pics were taken in the milder, mellower time known as September.  Bare legs and short sleeves were still a thing, and (big!) jeans were just moving in.  Fast forward to today when I went out to get the mail huddled in my velour sweats and corduroy coat.  "You look like you're in pain," commented the husband as I came back inside.  Um, yeah.  Old Man Winter is not welcome here!

Tonight, when we go out to dinner, you can bet I'll be wearing one of my full-length faux furs.  Photographic evidence to follow.  At some point. 😏

If there's no place like home, then there's there's no place for pictures quite like the front porch.  So that's where I am in all four outfits here.  We've got florals and palm trees and even Bigfoot -- even if I thought he was a monkey when I was making the Cuddly Critters Necklace.  It wasn't until I flipped the charm and saw "SASQUATCHIN" on the back that I realized I was in the presence of greatness.  Of course, Satchy's tutu-wearing companion of a fox may have something to say about that.

Never let anyone (not even Bigfoot) tell you that a beast can't be a ballerina.
