Chances are, you got snowed in last weekend.  As you (may) know, I don't like snow.  It's cold and wet and, above all, dangerous.  So when the flakes fell, I was happy to stay inside and (while Charlotte napped) play dress-up.  The theme?  Maroon!  Because 1) I'd worn a maroon dress for my birthday and wanted to do a trifecta and 2) maroon makes an ideal backdrop for my new necklaces.

Being marooned in maroon was a bonus.

That said, I hope you stayed cozy doing something you love -- even if the only ice in your life was clinking in your Coca-Cola.

What better way to enjoy a cozy, nautical-themed sweater than on a boat ride?  Picture it.  The wind in your hair, salt spray in the air, and seagulls circling overhead.  But before I wax too J. Peterman poetic, I should point out that you're downing a Dramamine with warm ginger ale and sporting an armload of motion sickness bracelets like an uncool Cyndi Lauper.

That said, I skipped the boat and wore my skipper-esque sweaters on the safety of solid ground.

Because the only Poseidon Adventure I need is keeping the drain -- and boat toys -- clean.

Sometimes I feel like I'll never wear all my clothes.  Especially because I keep coming up with new ways to wear the old ones.  It's a weird blend of invigorating and exhausting.  But it's the kind of exhausting I love.

Last week, I planned one outfit with my rose-print Stoosh skirt and another with my heart-print Candie's blouse (Kohl's doesn't even make Candie's anymore, having moved on to more high-fiber fare).  As I was laying them out, it occurred to me that they would look good together too.  So here we are!  (Or here I am.)  Hearts and flowers, endless powers.  Just like the title says.

If only running the clotheshorse racecourse burned more calories than crunches.
