MFT Sketch Challenge #301 & Color Challenge #54

Here's another thank you card and another chance to play along with not one but two MFT challenges that are happening right now, the color challenge and the sketch challenge! One friend got Sonny an orange dinosaur for his birthday gift so I knew right away that I was going to be making an orange dinosaur card! I was able to snag this adorable "You're Rawr-some" set when it was on sale. I added a Lawn Fawn Hat and some balloons from a Mama Elephant set I had and Wa-lah! I think it turned out pretty darn cute! Here are the two challenges I'm playing along with:

MFT Sketch Challenge #301

I got Harvest Mouse last year when everyone was making the most adorable cards with it, but I got it too late to make fall cards...so I was dying to pull it out this year to make some :) Here is my first card with this adorable set! I used it to play along with this week's sketch challenge:

I'm always in need of thank you notes (that's a good thing!). This time for Sonny's 3rd birthday which just passed this past Sunday, there are so many people that were so thoughtful and I want to make sure they know they are appreciated :)

Got to play with my new hedgehogs! Love them :) If I made this card again, however, I wouldn't do the hedgehog on the kraft. I do love how the leaves turned out on the kraft, though! I feel like the hedgehog is too light.

Back at it again! I've had the creative juices flowing. I've been cleaning up after each card and that has really helped. I used to leave it all out to where I had no room left on my desk or had no empty blocks, etc. Hopefully I keep this going because I'm on a roll!

MFT Sketch Challenge #296

I finally had some time to get in my craft room this weekend! I actually made 4 cards and it felt wonderful :) I made two for this sketch challenge, so you'll be seeing the next one tomorrow morning since there isn't much time left! I also finally inked up some of my new sets I got from several releases ago, which is a good thing since I know I'm going to be getting some new goodies from the release tomorrow!

I used my distress inks, I definitely need some practice with them, but I sort of got the look I was going for.

MFT Sketch Challenge #276

I have seen several cards pairing the MFT gnomes and succulents, and I just had to have both sets! We recently got a gnome for the front yard and my 2 year old loves it, he says "hi gnome" every morning and goes over and pats his hat. So I went to show him this card and he says "WOW!" and then I pointed at the gnome and said "Sonny who is this?" thinking he would say gnome for sure, but he said..."Papa" LOL! Of course I had to text Nana right away and she thought it was hilarious too. Anyway, here is my take on this week's sketch, and the first Mother's Day card I've made this year:

Back for this week's round of sketch challenge with My Favorite Things! I just got this camper set, so I had to make a card for my husband. We will be taking our camper on vacation soon, so I thought this would be fun to give to him. Those are our initials in the wood heart.

MFT Sketch Challenge #274

I was so sad to miss last week's challenge, but it was for good reason, we were celebrating Easter with family in Maine, and it was the first trial run in our new camper. We will be taking it for a long trip to FL soon, so we needed a closer trial run. I had a really busy weekend again this weekend, but didn't want to miss another week, so I used a sheep that I still had left from last time's card, and created a cute thank you note for the family members that we visited for Easter. They'll love the funny sentiment.

I'm loving some of the sets from the new release, so you'll probably be seeing some of those soon ;)

MFT Color Challenge #41

Here to play along with another MFT color challenge. Again, I didn't have the exact colors, so I just went as close as I could, and I created this cute little dinosaur card with a leftover dino that I had colored already during last week's sketch challenge!

My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge #271

I just got back from a work trip to Baltimore, and the coolest thing ever happened while I was there...I met a director from one of our sister communities, and she is former DT member for MFT, Kim O'Connell!!! It was so awesome to talk with her on the plane about all things crafty, and we are going to be getting together, too. (we live really close to each other). Not only do we both enjoy stamping, but we have a passion for seniors and work in the same industry for the same great company. She was sweet as ever, I'm so glad I met her :) I never in a million years thought that that would be happening on my trip! 

Of course when I got back I was ready to ink up another one of the sets from my last order, Prehistoric Fun. I used it to play along with this week's sketch challenge:

Well, I didn't have the exact colors, but I tried to get close! I just got this sheep set in my most recent order. I had been on the fence about it, but I've seen so many adorable cards made with it, and after this one, I definitely have no regrets...the sheep are ADORABLE!!

A long time family friend is going to be a grandma! I'm so excited for her and I couldn't wait to make a card, so I used this week's MFT sketch, and I have to say, I love the results! I used a stencil in the background and I must say, I need to buy more, I've been having fun with them lately :) I'm keeping my fingers crossed that one of these days my name will get pulled as the winner, because with this new MFT release coming up, my wish list is getting long!

Another My Favorite Things sketch challenge! And this week I did 2 things I don't normally do, masking and used a stencil! And I LOVE the results! I think this card turned out so adorable that I'm definitely making another. I only with I had more of those wooden glasses, they are too darn cute :)

Back for another MFT challenge, but this time a color challenge. Sketch challenges are my favorite, but a good color challenge is fun, too :) So I used the chef again, isn't he cute? I also curved the sentiment to go along with the curve in the scribble. And the white shape is left over from a cut with the wonky frames...couldn't let it go to waste ;)

Well, I missed last week's challenge, but for good reason...I was in Alabama visiting my sister and her family! My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge #262

I'm back again for the MFT weekly sketch challenge. I changed this one up a bit. Instead of using the 5 stripes all perfectly lined up, I decided to make them a little "wonky" in honor of all the new wonky dies that MFT keeps releasing :) I was inspired by a card that my friend Kara Vrabel made me for my birthday a few years ago where she did the strips all wonky like that, too. I used even more of my Christmas goodies. I have been having so much fun with them (thanks mom!).

This is actually the second card that I made, the first one I liked but decided to change a few things for the second, like the color of the soda bottle, and I popped up the sentiment. Which one do you like better?
