CAS(E) this Sketch #2 & CFC75

CAS(E) this Sketch #2

I'm here to play along with the second CAS(E) this Sketch challenge! Here is the sketch we were given:

This card is also for the CAS-ual Fridays challenge, to create a card with an element that hangs over the edge (my banner).

I used Paper Smooches "Happy Camper," and "Sentiment Sampler." The patterned paper, die, and cardstock are all from PTI.

I want to say thank you SO much for the outpouring of congratulations comments and emails I have received about my new spot on the PSSparks DT! It really means so much, I can't stop smiling! I appreciate all of you so very much! I feel so loved :)

Unscripted Sketches #161

Another couple and Phillip and I went camping this past weekend on the Cape. They cooked dinner for us twice while we were there and drove us all around to several towns. It was a lot of fun. So I made them this card as a thank you for the delicious meals (shrimp po-boys one night and cod, quahogs, crabcakes, corn, and stamers the next!) and fun time. Here is the card I created:

This is the sketch I used from this week's Unscripted Sketches:

The camper and trees are from a pretty old SU set that hasn't seen much love. As I was thinking of making a camping themed card, I remembered this set and had to dig it out. Phillip laughed at how unrealistic it is, but I think its cute :)

The "thanks" is from the PS Sentiment Sampler set. The paper is all from PTI's new camping themed set. The cardstock is PTI and the twine is from the Twinery.

It is rainy here and quite chilly (I actually had to buy a Cape Cod sweatshirt over the weekend because I was planning on warm weather and only had shorts and t-shirts!). Its supposed to keep raining all week :( I hope where ever you are it is beautiful and was a great Monday to start off your week :)

April Market Street Block Party & FMS #32

Well, tomorrow is back to work after a wonderful two week vacation! We traveled down to FL in our camper and spent time with most of our family. Phillip and I are both from FL, so all of our family is still down there (we live in MA now). I made this card for his grandparents. For a few nights we stayed at the Highlands Hammock State Park with 3 generations of Davises all in a row with our campers. It was a lot of fun.

This card uses Market Street Stamps. I'm playing along with this month's Block Party.

And also with this week's Freshly Made Sketches Challenge:

Are these marshmallows not the cutest? We did roast them over the fire one night. Did you know they sell flavored ones now? I got coconut and let me tell you a coconut marshmallow s'more with dark chocolate and chocolate graham crackers is divine!

I Just love this adorable little camper. All stamps and the sentiment are from MSS. The woodgrain paper is from Amuse. The ribbon is from SU, and the double ended banner die is from PTI (and so is the cardstock). Images were colored with Copics.

And now a few pics from our trip. I put many more on FB, but here are a few cute shots:

These first two pictures are at the Highlands Hammock campground. We took a nice long walk with the dogs and took some pics in front of this cool tree. That is my mother and father in law with us in the pics.

My mom is the photographer, so I don't have any pics of me and my nephew Liam (whose first birthday party we were able to attend while we were there!) or my parents yet, as those photos are on her camera. But I was able to snag this cute shot of me and my 6 month old niece, Autumn :)

And on the last night there I got this photo of my SIL, Whitney, on the left and my sister, Jamie, on the right.

We had such a great time, but boy did it go by so fast! Every single day we had plans, so I'm glad we got back on Friday so we could have a couple days of rest before going back to work. After getting to spend time with my family, I now miss them terribly, though. To end on a funny note, though, after living in the camper for two weeks, everything in our house seems so incredibly huge!
