Ocean Paradise

I made this card for Sweet Stop Sketch #160 and used my Ocean Paradise set from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps...

Both clouds (MFT die-namics) are up on foam tape and so is the main image.  Stickles were added to the image for some sparkle (eucalyptus on the grass, platinum on the sand, and stardust in the water).  Papers are Paradise Beach by Echo Park that I bought from i{heart}papers.  The ric-rac was cut with an MFT die-namics die and the flag die is from Lil' Inker Designs.

Sunnin' Mouse

I've had a lot of extra time to craft lately (my transcription hours have been cut and I'm VERY part-time now....which is totally okay....I think I was burned out from it anyway) and it's been really fun to participate in so many sketch challenges again.  This one is for Sweet Stop Sketch #159 ("Sketch with a Spin") and I added ruffled ribbon for the "spin."

The "Sunnin' Mouse" stamp is by Whipper Snapper Designs and the sentiment is from my MFT "Beach Bum" set. The main image circle is up on foam tape. I paper pierced the scallops with an Ornare piercing template (they stopped selling this one, but I think they should bring it back...I love it!) and then traced in some lines with an orange SU marker. Stickles were added to the sand, sunglasses, and floral shorts.

I want to BE this mouse right now....on the beach...sunning....ahhhhh! :)

Sweet Stop Sketch 116

Wow, guys, it's been over two weeks since I posted my little announcement. I guess I needed a serious break, huh? Anyhooooo, I have a couple days off from work (yay!) so I went for a run (not a pretty one either...this heat is killing me!) this morning and then made this card. I'm TOTALLY out of practice on making cards. I started it this morning and it took me until this afternoon to get it finished (hmmm....slow going just like my running)....but anyway, here it is....



I used Ocean Paradise from Sweet and Sassy Stamps. Such a gorgeous set, Korin! The main panel and sentiment are up on foam tape and the layout is Sweet Stop Sketch 116. I added Stickles to the water and sand.

Here's the inside where I stamped the sentiment onto a sticker from my Seaside DP pack.....



Okay, now we're off to the pool for the rest of the afternoon. Have a WONDERFUL day...and stay cool! It's in the 90's here today....YIKES!

Hi all, it's Sweet Stop Sketch time! Here's my card using OCL's Sandy Sunsets.



The oval panel was sponged with Ballet Blue and Close to Cocoa inks, Stickles were added to the sand, and the whole thing was popped up on foam tape.

For my card, I used OCL's Sandy Sunsets. The palm tree was stamped in onyx black, I kept the die in place and sponged Tangerine Tango all around the square, and then matted it against the black CS. Pretty simple card...and I made it SUPER bright orange using some Penny Black Mix & Match CS.

Sandy Sunsets

Hi all! I'm combining today's Sweet Stop Sketch #112 with OCL's Challenge #69, which is a color challenge to use blue, yellow and a neutral.



The main image with the palm tree, yellow circle sentiment, and bottom cloud are all up on foam tape. The clouds have little touches of Stickles. The palm tree was stamped in black craft ink and heat embossed with clear EP, and the edges of that panel are sponged with Cool Caribbean ink.

Sweet Stop Sketch 111

Hi all, it's Sweet Stop Sketch time and I'm using my OCL Bird & Groom set.



For white on white cards like this, I try to use a lot of foam tape on the layers so they stand apart more. Both hearts, the circle with the cake, scalloped circle, and large heart/congratulations panel are all up on separate layers of foam tape. Stickles were added to the "pearls" on the cake image and actual silver pearls were added to the flower centers.

Sweet Stop Sketch 110

Happy Saturday and Happy Memorial Day Weekend! Whooo-hoooo! Are you doing anything fun? My husband decided to start staining our deck yesterday, which led to taking down the lattice panels that were old and ugly, replacing it all with new plain boards, taking down flower boxes...yadda yadda...you know how it goes...one simple project turns into TEN, lol! I'm going to give him a hand with it today though and hopefully help him finish it all up. :) So anyhoooo....onto my Sweet Stop Sketch card.....



This sketch totally threw me for a while and it took a couple tries to actually get a card made. I tried to use ribbons for those three vertical elements in the background, but I just couldn't get it to work. I said something to Korin and she suggested paper panels.....viola!....that works! Thanks, Korin. :)

The fair isle pendant square is up on foam tape and I added some Stickles to the smoke coming out of the chimney as well as the flowers in the flower boxes.

Sweet Stop Sketch 108

Hi all! Here's my Sweet Stop Sketch card. Sorry for the delay.....after all the Blogger issues, I forgot that I needed to re-write and schedule my post again. Yikes!



For today's card I paired up this great sentiment stamp with some butterfly stickers and Mix & Match CS...ALL from Penny Black. Product links are in the supply list at the end of my post. I doubled up the butterflies with the second ones being popped up on foam tape. The large white panel that sits on the card base is also up on foam tape. The butterfly trails were pierced with an Ornare piercing template (an old discontinued one).

Hi all! How about another BRIGHT card for today's Sweet Stop Sketch? I'm on a roll with the bright and bold so why not, right?



For today's card I used So Frog-getful from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps and paired it up with some Penny Black Mix & Match CS and DP. My card measures 4.75" square. The sentiment tag, buttons, scallop oval behind the main image, and extra "toad-ally frog-ot" sign are all up on foam tape.

I've had this Magnolia image colored up for weeks and finally made it into a card. I don't know the name of the stamp (the image was stamped and given to me), but boy do I think she's cuuuute! The main matted image is up on foam tape and so is the circle sentiment. Stickles were added to her apron and hair bows. The Kaiser Craft pearls were colored with a YG23 Copic. The large white base layer that everything is glued to is also up on foam tape. Thank you to my sweet friend Carol for punching those yellow vellum flowers for me....MOST excellent timing, too, because I needed some kind of yellow accents and these arrived on the same day I was working on this card!
