Queen Anne's Lace

Hi everyone! Earlier this week, Dawn made a card (you can see it here) with Lush Blue DP paired with black and I just loved it....so today I pulled out my papers and got to work. I used this gorgeous Northwoods image that Michelle sent me. It's called Queen Anne's Lace with Butterflies. It's stamped on watercolor paper, embossed with detail clear EP, and watercolored with a combination of a Green #249 Tombow and some SU markers. I added some Baby Blue Stickles to the Queen Anne's Lace and a tiny bit of Yellow Stickles to the yellow bud in the center. The butterfly at the bottom is doubled up on a layer of foam tape. The remembrance sentiment is from my Flourishes Sweet Violets set.

Hope you're all having a fantastic weekend!

Monarch Butterfly

Hey gang! Today I have a Northwoods card to show you. My daughter, unfortunately, was in need of a sympathy card for her boyfriend's family. They lost their "Poppa" (grandfather) this week. :(

This pretty Northwoods Monarch Butterfly stamp and the Kaiser Craft Pearls can be found at Stamper's Dream. The black matted panel with the cornice edge is up on Dimensionals.

We thought it would be nice to somehow incorporate the name "poppa" on the card. I used my JustRite Trompe Lowercase Font and Rectangle Stamper to make the sentiment, stamped on Neenah Natural White. Then I stamped his name on Pale Plum and punched out the butterfly, which is up on Dimensionals.

SUPPLY LIST ~
Stamps: JustRite Lowercase Trompe Font, Northwoods Monarch Butterfly
Paper: Pale Plum, Basic Black, Neenah Natural White, Watercolor Paper
Ink: Black; Marigold Morning and Soft Sky Reinkers; Perfect Plum, Certainly Celery, and Apricot Appeal Watercolor Wonder Crayons

Turtles and Sunflowers

It's Monday, gang...back to the grind, huh? Well, that is if you're in an area that hasn't been hit by snow and you can get to work. Anyway, hopefully these sweet little Playtime turtles will brighten your day. They make me smile. I just love their patchwork shells. It's a Rachelle Ann Miller stamp and you can get it at Stamper's Dream.

The Neenah White CS, Impression Obsession Mini Messages sentiment and Stickles (added to the flowers and swirls) are also available at Michelle's store. I colored two images, cut out the shells from the second image, and popped them up on Dimensionals. The punched sentiment circles are both up on Dimensionals as well. The layout is Mojo Sketch #68.

I
LOVE
all
the

images

and
this
North-
Woods
Chick-
adee
Holiday

is no
excep-
tion.
Thanks to Tosh, who stamped some images for me, I was able to play with it (thanks, Tosh!!).

I watercolored it with reinkers and a damp watercolor brush. Then I colored in all the snowy parts with my Versamark marker, added some JudiKins White Diamond EP, and heat embossed it. I don't think the picture captures how sparkly this is in real life....and with EP, the glitter won't "shed" either! I totally forgot about my Versamark marker until I saw the tutorial that Laura Fredrickson posted on her blog recently. You can see her post HERE. I was lucky enough to work with Laura for a while on the Dirty Dozen team. She's not only incredibly talented but she's super nice too...and she always has great technique tutorials on her blog. Thanks, Laura!

I watercolored some more holly leaves and berries from two more images that Tosh stamped for me, cut them out, and popped two of them up on Dimensionals over the main image (the one at the very bottom and the one between the two chickadees). Two more were added to the inside of the card...here's that picture. The inside also has some piercing that was done with my Ornare piercing template that my good friend Lori bought for me. Thanks again, Lori! I love this thing! {smile}

The sentiment is from MFT's Scarf for Three, which is also available at Stamper's Dream.

RECIPE ~
Stamps: Northwoods Chickadee Holiday, MFT Scarf for Three (sentiment)
Paper: Kraft, Basic Black, Watercolor Paper, Wassail DP
Ink: Perm Black, Creamy Caramel, Close to Cocoa, Old Olive, Ruby Red, Wild Wasabi, Marigold Morning, Soft Sky, Versamark (marker)
Accessories: JudiKins White Diamond EP, Hemp Twine, SU Small Oval Punch, SU Word Window Punch, Dimensionals
Technique: Watercoloring, Heat Embossing
Card Size: 5.25" Square

Northwoods Pinecone

Hi everyone!

First, huge CONGRATS to Dawn (flowergal36) for being yesterday's Featured Stamper on SCS. Not only do I love Dawn's gallery, but she's a sweetheart too. I chose THIS CARD of hers to CASE. I went with the layout, layered ribbon, and incorporated plaid in the DP. I used different stamps, colors, and added a sentiment on the front.

My friend Tosh stamped some of these Northwoods Pinecone images for me. Thanks again, Tosh!! She stamped this one on watercolor paper. I watercolored it with reinkers and then added some Cinnamon Brown Twinkling H20's on the pinecones for a little shimmer. The edges of the main image and sentiment are sponged with Ranger Vintage Photo Distress Ink. The main panel was faux stitched with my piercing tool, mat pack, and a Chocolate Chip marker....then the whole thing is popped up on Dimensionals. The sentiment was cut out using my Spellbinders Double Ended Tags and it was popped up on a second layer of Dimensionals.

The Northwoods Pinecone stamp and the Spellbinders double Ended Tags are both available at Stamper's Dream.

RECIPE ~
Stamps: main image-Northwoods Holly Pinecone (Stamper's Dream), sentiment-SASI Season's Sweetings (Taylored Expressions)

Northwoods Sled

Hi everyone and HAPPY THANKSGIVING!! So what kind of pie will you all be having today? It's a toss up for me between pumpkin and pecan pie...hmmm, maybe a slice of each, LOL! Yeah, I know...slow down, girl!

Today I got to play with some Northwoods Wreath, Birds, and Sled images that my sweet friend Tosh stamped for me. Thanks, Tosh!! You're the best!

If you want the stamp, hurry over to Stamper's Dream because all holiday stamps are on SALE through this Sunday, November 30th for 15% off!! Just enter coupon code HOLIDAYS on the checkout page.

The card measures 5.25" square. I used three stamped images on this card. One full image was watercolored for the front, and then I watercolored just the red bow on two more images, cut them out, popped one up on dimensionals over the front image and the second one was glued to the inside of the card (see pic below). The Kraft mat behind the main image is also up on Dimensionals. I used Liquid Pearls on the snow.

The inside of the card basically follows the same layout as the front. I used one of the sentiments from my JustRite Christmas Stamp Ensemble with the Harmony Rectangular Stamper, stamped in Riding Hood Red. Don't forget, this week at Stamper's Dream, selected JustRite products are on sale for 50% off!

RECIPE ~
Stamps: Northwoods Wreath, Birds and Sled; JustRite Christmas Stamp Ensemble

Northwoods Christmas Candles

Hi everyone! As soon as I saw today's SCS Sketch, I knew EXACTLY which stamp I wanted to use...Love when that happens!

I stamped the Northwoods Three Candles stamp in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored it with Copic markers. I stamped a second image, colored just the candles, cut them out and paper pieced them for a little dimension. The black mat behind the main image is up on dimensionals. Each of the flames has a very small dot of orange Stickles. The red rhinestones were glued down with a small dot of Crystal Effects.

The inside of the card has a white panel matted with basic black, then I ran a 1/2" strip of the Wassail DP along the bottom edge.

JustRite week at Stamper's Dream is still going on, so don't forget to check out the amazing (and I do mean amazing!) projects that Michelle, Tosh, and Amy posted today!

Stamper's Dream Glittery Challenge

Hi all!

Today the Stamper's Dream Team has a challenge out to make glittery cards....I LOVE glitter so I just had to play along! They're going to be running challenges on the second Thursday of every month, and everyone is welcome to participate. You can see the details by clicking HERE. They're even giving away PRIZES!

I saw Terri Dodd made a gorgeous card with this Northwoods Wispy Witch, I commented on how much I loved it, and she was nice enough to stamp me some of them to try out. I love this image...soooo fun to color! Not only did Terri stamp me the images, but she also sent this awesome bright ribbon. So, I picked the colors for my card based on the ribbon colors. Thanks SO MUCH, Terri!! You're a doll.

Michelle Rodgers has this stamp for sale in her Stamper's Dream store!

I colored the image with Copics (V15 Mallow, V17 Amethyst, W1 Warm Gray, W3 Warm Gray, W5 Warm Gray, W7 Warm Gray, E33 Sand, E35 Chamois, E57 Light Walnut, Y38 Honey, and YR00 Powder Pink). Orange Stickles were added to the belt and boot buckles. Purple Haze glitter was added to the cape with some Dries Clear Adhesive.

I ran the ribbon behind the image on an angle to follow the angle of the broom and the witch's leg. The green brads in the corners are glittery. I think I got them at Michael's. That black mat layer with the brads is up on dimensionals.

I colored another boot, cut it out, and added it to a white panel on the inside of the card.

RECIPE ~
Stamps: Northwoods Wispy Witch
Paper: SU Textured Green Galore, SU Basic Black, PTI Plum Pudding, PTI Select White
Ink: Perm Black, Copics
Accessories: Purple Haze Glitter, Dries Clear Adhesive, Orange Stickles, Green and Purple Ribbon, Dimensionals, Green Sparkly Brads, Ticket Corner Punch
Card Size: 5.25" Square

Thanks for looking and I hope you're enjoying your Thursday!
