Timeless Tuesday #223

Hi everyone. It's Timeless Tuesday challenge time and our challenge this week is to make a card/project using fruits or veggies...something from your garden.

I made a 5.25" square card and used images from Wild For Watermelon. The card base and main image is classic ivory CS, the main image was stamped in Memento tuxedo black and colored with Copics (Dogwood and Green Grass Collections plus a W1 for shading underneath the watermelon), and the papers, large rhinestone button and ribbons are from my Prairie Chic 1-2-3 Create Kit.  The navy scallop oval is up on foam tape and the layout is Deconstructed Sketch #103.

Pretty colors, Joan!

Here's my card:

I went with a CAS card using Deconstructed Sketch #100, my Verve Flutterby die, and a Penny Black sentiment.  There are two butterflies and they're both up on foam tape.

Color Throwdown #240

Helloooo and happy hump day to you all.  :)  Broni has some yummy colors for us this week for the Color Throwdown.  Here they are...

Fun, right?  I haven't used Ballet Blue and Apricot Appeal in so long (and I LOVE those colors!).  Here's my card using another one of those sweet cats from Whimsy Stamps...

The layout is Deconstructed Sketch #99, the Wisteria scallop circle is up on foam tape, and I added Stickles to the butterfly and polka dots on the cat's bow.  Papers are Seen and Noted by Pebbles.

Timeless Tuesday #215

Hi everyone!  Broni is hosting our Timeless Tuesday challenge this week (FTTC #215) and her challenge is to include something on our projects that we would find anywhere in our "house."  Here's my card...

I used stamps from Tulips for Friends, colored the main image with Copics (Poppy Collection plus an R22, Leaf Green Collection, and C1/C3/C5 from the Cool Neutral Collection), die-cut both the sentiment and main image with lacey circles dies, added some Bangkok Red Poppy seam binding, adhesive pearls, and popped the sentiment up on foam tape. My household item is the red glittery OPI nail polish....works just like Stickles! If you click on the picture above, it'll enlarge and you'll be able to see the sparkle a little better.  The layout is Deconstructed Sketch #96.

Color Throwdown #236

Hi all. I'm back to share my Color Throwdown card for this week.  Lynn is our host this week and check out this cool pansy image she chose...

Here's my card...

I used Daffodil Delight, Rich Razzleberry, Orchid Opulence (oops, I *thought* I used Orchid...now that I'm looking at my card along with the other girls at the CTD, I think I goofed and pulled the wrong color...sorry, girls), and I changed out Artichoke for Certainly Celery because I didn't have artichoke.  The stamp is by Magnolia and it's called Tilda with Eggs and Chicken.  I used Deconstructed Sketch #95 again for the layout.

COPICS:
Hair and Boots:  YR21, YR24, E33, E35, E37
Skin: E00, E11, E13
Dress and Purple Egg: BV000, BV02, BV04
Basket: R81, R83, R85
Chick and Yellow Eggs: Y00, Y03, Y08
Green Egg and Grass:  G21, G24, G40

Timeless Tuesday #214

Hi everyone!  It's my turn to host the Timeless Tuesday Challenge (FTTC214)! The challenge this week is to layer two or more ribbons together.  Take a wide ribbon and layer a more narrow ribbon over top of it, layer two or more colors of twine together, etc.

For my card, I used stamps from my Strawberries set, which is one of my favorites!  I layered some sheer ribbon over some white crochet lace.  The image is stamped on Classic White CS and the scallop oval is up on foam tape. Papers are Pebbles Seen and Noted, and the layout is Deconstructed Sketch #95.  Oh, and I added some Stardust Stickles to the center of the flower and all around the image.  Copics used: BG000, BG10, BG11, G21, G24, G28, G40, R20, R22, R24

Timeless Tuesday #213

Hi everyone and happy Tuesday. Maki's Timeless Tuesday Challenge for us this week is to use sewing or stitching technique on our projects.  If you don't like to sew, faux stitches are also welcome.  :)

Here's my card using Flourishes' Inside and Out Hello...

The sentiment is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black on Flourishes Classic Ivory CS. The die-cut oval is up on foam tape. Papers are Farmhouse Fair Skies, I embellished with some crochet cotton ivory lace (no longer in the Flourishes store...sorry!), twine, an ivory button, and adhesive pearls. Machine stitching was added to the embossed Swiss dots panel as well as the red DP panels. The cool layout is Deconstructed Sketch #94.

Be sure to stop by the Timeless Tuesday blog for all the details of the challenge and, of course, you can find even more inspiration by hopping around to see what the rest of the FTTC girls have created for you....

Timeless Tuesday #211

Hi there. :)  This week's Timeless Tuesday is being hosted by Deborah and her challenge is to feature GREEN on our projects.

Here's a birthday tag I made...

The sentiment is from Inside and Out Hello and it's stamped on classic ivory CS.  I just bought the Spellbinders lacey circles (they've been on my list forEVER) and the Farm House patterned paper.  The lacey circle and the die-cut sentiment are both up on foam tape.  I added some sponging around the sentiment with Memento bamboo leaves and the ribbon at the top of the tag is moss green seam binding.  The layout is Deconstructed Sketch #92.

FTTC209--Glitter and Shine

Hey, that rhymes...FTTC 209, Glitter and Shine.  :)  How are you all doing today?  Hope your week is off to a good start.  We had a nice weekend; went out with some old friends on Friday night, I got the grocery shopping out of the way on Saturday, and then on Sunday got myself to the gym (hubby and I are having a weekly "biggest loser" contest between ourselves....and this week, I won...yayyy!), we watched the Daytona 500, and I had some good crafting and cooking time during the race.  One of the cards I made is this one for this week's Timeless Tuesday...

The sentiment is from Inside and Out Happy and it's stamped on classic ivory CS.  The main image is popped up on foam tape and I added some turquoise organza roses. For the glitter and shine challenge, I added adhesive finesse rhinestones as well as some Stickles under the word "happy" and in the centers of the flowers in the DP.  The layout is Deconstructed Sketch #90.

Be sure to stop by the Timeless Tuesday blog for all the details of the challenge and, of course, you can find even more inspiration by hopping around to see what the rest of the FTTC girls have created for you....

FTTC208 Red

Hi everyone! It's my turn to host the Timeless Tuesday and this week's challenge is to use red on your card/project. Easy peasy, right?

For my card I used Old Fashioned Florals, Perfectly Pierced Victorian Ovals, and Perfectly Pierced Classic Frames.  The DP is Bo Bunny Serenity, the card base is Classic Ivory CS, and the sentiment is stamped in white craft ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder.  The oval, red classic frame, and white square panels are all up on separate layers of foam tape.  The main image is colored with Copic markers from the Poppy and Leaf Green Collections.  Some red ric rac ribbon and Kaiser adhesive pearls finish it all off. The layout is Deconstructed Sketch #89.

CTD229 Kitties

Hi there! It's Color Throwdown time and Wanda is our hostess this week.  Here's the sweet combo she picked for us:

Here's my card:

I used my Penny Black "Stuck On You" clear set.  The layout is Deconstructed Sketch #88 and I totally took inspiration from Tobi Crawford's card (you can see it by clicking HERE....sweet, right?!) with the square card with rounded corners, twine, and pearl accents.  I didn't have Blushing Bride CS so I replaced it with some Pink Pirouette CS and patterned paper. The circle with the cats and the pink scallop circle are both up on separate layers of foam tape. The green polka dot paper is actually Christmas paper (lol!, hey, if you got it, use it!); MME Merry Christmas Winter Wonderland.  I colored the adhesive pearls with a G21 Copic.  The Penny Black image is colored with 0, E41, E42, E43, R20, R22, G21, G28, and G40 Copics.

FTTC194 Silhouettes

Hi everyone!  We made it through Hurricane Sandy just fine. We did lose power for three days, but we had a generator to run the fridge, flush toilets, heat water for the shower, etc., and our coal/wood stove kept us warm. We also didn't have ANY damage...so relieved that none of our trees fell.  I know others weren't so fortunate and my heart goes out to those people. I really hope repairs can be made fairly quickly for them and that the ones who are without power are able to keep warm.

It's Timeless Tuesday time and Maki is our hostess this week. She's challenging us to make a card/project using silhouette stamps.

For my card, I used stamps from Country Road and Sentimental Favorites, stamped the main image on Classic Ivory and popped the square up on foam tape, and added some yellow twine.  The card measures 4" square and the layout is (pretty much) Deconstructed Sketch #76.  Papers are Quilting Bee by My Mind's Eye.

Be sure to stop by the Timeless Tuesday blog for all the details of the challenge and, of course, you can find even more inspiration by hopping around to see what the rest of the FTTC girls have created for you....

FTTC191 Winter

Hi everyone! It's Timeless Tuesday time and Cindy is our hostess this week. She's challenging us to make a winter-inspired card.  You can find all the details on the Timeless Tuesday Blog.

For my card, I used the new Snow Day set and paired it up with some patterned paper and green ribbon from the September 1-2-3 Create Kit, "Rejoice".  The ice skates were stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Classic Ivory CS and colored with Copics (YR000, R22, R24, G24, G28, C1, C3).  I added some Kaiser Craft Pearls, rounded the corners, and added some of my favorite May Arts striped ribbon.  The cool layout is Deconstructed Sketch #73.

I just bought some new goodies from MFT including this a la modes 80's Girl...I think she's adorable.  :)

I have a girlfriend who will be celebrating a birthday later this week....and she's a total 80's girl so I think she'll get a kick out of this image.  Papers are My Mind's Eye and the image was colored with Copic markers.  The layout is Deconstructed Sketch #64 and the card measures 5" square.

You Make the Grade

Hi all and happy Sunday! I just bought a bunch of different MME paper pads and I couldn't wait to cut into some of it....have to say, it was hard to decide on WHICH pack to start with...but I ended up picking patterns from "A Mother's Love."

The layout is Deconstructed Sketch #63 and I picked my "You Make the Grade" PI girl for this week's Paper Players Challenge.  The PI girl was stamped in Memento Tuxedo black, cut out with a Spellbinders Apple die, sponged with Tim Holtz Tumbled Glass (with the apple die in place), and colored with Copics (0, W1, W3, W5, E00, E02, E11, E13, E31, E33, E35, E37, E51, YR65, G20, YG63, AND YG67).  The apple is up on foam tape and the A+ oval is up on a second layer of foam.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great Sunday!

DS58 Hello

Hi all. Here's another card I made yesterday. It's for Deconstructed Sketch #58...

I used the Hello sentiment from my Flourishes "Strawberries" set. It's stamped in Sapphire Distress Ink onto the die-cut flag, and I added a Basic Grey "Jovial" button.  The butterfly is a Martha Stewart punch, the kraft circle was cut with a Spellbinders circle and embossed with my Swiss Dots embossing folder, and the Classic Ivory flower behind the butterfly was cut with a Spellbinders blossom die. The die-cut blossom is up on foam tape.  Papers are Summer Fresh by Simple Stories.

Have a great Sunday!

Water you up to? :)

{giggle}...Love that sentiment from my Wild For Watermelon set (Flourishes).  I thought I'd play with the set some more and make a card using Deconstucted Sketch 57.

I stamped two watermelon slices, colored them with Copics (Pure Poppy Collection and Grass Green Collection), and popped the top one up on foam tape. The Spellbinders oval is also up on foam tape. I added a couple Kaiser Craft pearls on two of the flowers in the patterned paper and used some lime green plisse ribbon.

Enjoy the rest of your day!

Take Flight!

I made this for Hailey, who just got a full-time dog grooming job. Whooo-hoooo! We're so excited for her!

The layout is Deconstructed Sketch #56, stamps are from "Take Flight" from Gina K Designs, and papers are 29th Street Market by My Mind's Eye.  The butterfly was stamped once in Versamagic Perfect Plumeria, cut out with the oval Nestabilities, and then a second one was stamped and cut out with scissors and popped up on foam tape.  The sentiment was die-cut with MFT's First Place Award Die-namics and I glued it down so that the center curves up and off the DP.

Have a great Tuesday!
