I haven't stamped any candles for a while and came across two blank ones in my cupboard so thought I would decorate them for pressies. My first problem was my Stazon ink pad - it was completely bone dry! Admittedly I haven't used it for a while, but it was stored upside down, and this is the first ink pad over many years that has COMPLETELY dried out! Luckily I had a spare one! My second problem was several of my Marvy Le Plumes, also fairly old, were leaking so I had to make a few impressions that weren't smudged!
Eventually I completed two candles!! And am entering them for Ruby's Rainbow's Christmas Challenge!

Happy Birthday Ruby's Rainbow!
Ruby's Rainbow Challenge blog is 2 years old today and to celebrate that the theme for the next 2 weeks is Happy Birthday. I made a card for a friend using one of my old much loved Hero Arts stamps that I watercoloured with Marvy Le Plumes, distressed the edges and added some peeloffs (yes I'm not afraid to admit I use them occasionally and like them!).

RRC Ch#28 - A Sketch
The new challenge on Ruby's Rainbow Challenges is a sketch and for my DT work I made a little card using scraps from my huge pile that I can't bear to throw away! and a cute Penny Black Hedgie Stickeroo which I find very useful! I water coloured round it to co-ordinate with the papers.

MTTC Challenge #147 - A La Carte
The new challenge on My Time To Craft is A La Carte. For my DT work I have used one of my House Mouse stamps, I think it is only the second time I have used this one! I water coloured the image with Marvy Le Plumes and used some freebie bp. Flower and leaves are punched with Leone Em and Martha Stewart punches, and I used Card Candy to embellish. The sentiment is by Daisy and Dandelion.
I am also entering this card for

Sparkles Forum Challenge #14 - At The Beach
It is time for a new theme for the next fortnight on Sparkles Forum Challenges Blog, and this time the theme is At The Beach. The challenge is sponsored by Di's Digi Downloads and she provided us DT with some lovely images to use. I chose this scene, which I watercoloured in with Marvy Le Plumes and used DCWV Pocket Full of Posies bps and distressed all the edges. I coloured the Card Candy with a Promarker to get the right colour!

The new challenge on My Time To Craft is Pick a Pocket or Two. For my DT card I used some free bps for the background and made a pocket and punched the edge with a MS punch. The flower image is by Hero Arts, watercoloured in with Marvy Le Plumes. I added punched flowes and gems to embellish.

Flower Power
The new theme on Magical Crafts Fortnightly Challenge is Flower Power. This fortnight the challenge is sponsored by Simon Says Stamp and you can win $10 to spend in the store, so pop over to the blog to join in!
For my DT card I used a poppy foam stamp from QVC and watercoloured it in with Marvy Le Plumes and added black Stickles to the centres. I embellished with punched flowers and leaves and Primas and little jewels. Sorry it is so big but if I make it smaller it is blurred for some reason!

Winter Pals
The theme on My Time To Craft is Winter Pals. I am not sure if I like this card now I have done it! It was quite a big image and I think I should have put it on a bigger card with some pp's but never mind! The image is coloured in with Copics and Marvy Le Plumes.

The theme on My Time To Craft this week is Christmas - I picked this theme as it is never too early to start making those Christmas cards! I used my new Christmas teddy stamp and watercoloured it in with Marvy Le Plumes, and some DCWV backing paper.

Sketch and Stash
I needed something fairly easy to make today and the sketch on the current Sketch and Stash challenge was ideal! I used my new Penny Black stamp, Garden Visit, and watercoloured it in with my Marvy Le Plumes. I used a scrap of Brenda Pinnick paper for the background, and inked round edges.
