Christmas Candles

I haven't stamped any candles for a while and came across two blank ones in my cupboard so thought I would decorate them for pressies.  My first problem was my Stazon ink pad - it was completely bone dry!  Admittedly I haven't used it for a while, but it was stored upside down, and this is the first ink pad over many years that has COMPLETELY dried out!  Luckily I had a spare one!  My second problem was several of my Marvy Le Plumes, also fairly old, were leaking so I had to make a few impressions that weren't smudged!

Eventually I completed two candles!!  And am entering them for Ruby's Rainbow's Christmas Challenge!

CYDA Challenge #35 - Snowmen

The new theme on Craft Your Days Away is Snowmen.  We are sponsored by Simon Says Stamp so come on over to the blog and take part for a chance of winning a $10 spend in their online store.

For my DT work I stamped some more candles with my cute little Penny Black snowman stamp, I just love him!  These make great pressies and are quite quick to make.

Candles

I love stamping on candles and have been making some for my daughter's Christmas stalls that she is doing this year.  The challenge on The Stampman at the moment is Create an Ornament so I am entering these little House Mouse candles for it.

If anyone knows where I can get some more hours in the day please let me know!  I am failing miserably with keeping up with everything I am trying to do!!

Butterfly Candle

I needed to make a little gift for a friend, and knowing she loves butterflies I thought I would do one of my stamped candles for her. The stamp is from Stampendous and I added a little glitter once it was on the candle. I was a bit worried about it surviving the post so hopefully it is unscathed!

Stamped Candle

My granddaughter is horse mad, so I used one of Linda Luckin's lovely horse stamps ( click on the Sunflower link on the right) to make this candle for one of her birthday pressies.

Stamping on Candles

A couple more stamped candles using House Mouse stamps - I have to say the fiddliest bit was putting the ribbons on after!!

Candles

Here are my first attempts at stamping on candles! Well stamping on tissue paper and putting it on the candle with greaseproof paper wrapped round it and heating with the heat gun to be precise! I need to perfect the heating bit as I had a little bit of melt here and there but it is fun to do!
