We received a nice postcard from our pal Hammie today!

Hammie and his human companions were visiting vanSchliermonnikogg, the "most beautiful island Netherlands." There is a beary cool red lighthouse there. We love lighthouses! Thanks Hammie!

Oskurs!

Little bowls of popcorn are ready, our voting pads and pencils are already filled out, and we're ready to see who will win this year's Oscar Awards.

Bear Hur

Every year around the time of the Oscars, our favorite movie channel plays lots of great old movies that won Oscar awards, "Weeth NO comsherals!" adds Jerry. On a cold winter night, there is nothing better than watching a great old movie. "Toneight we watsh Bear Hur, and the sherriot rase is ekzsiting" says Ben (Ben means the classic movie Ben Hur).

Pant-cape Tchewsday

"Wait one mowment" questions Ben.

"What iz goeeng on here..." he continues.

"Um...what IZ goeeng on here?..." he says louder.

Ben finally continues "Why r you weareeng a pair of pantz on yor head Jerry? Didn't our pal Sandy send you thoze beary cool Joe Boxer pants?"

Jerry replies, "Our pal Bob T. Bear, esq. iz gain celabrateeng pant-cape tchewsday! All you have two do iz war a pair of pantz like a cape, and jump off of sometheeng and have a senze of fun, just as if you r a super hero!"

"Well that sondz super beary fun!" says Ben, "I think I like two try panz on, Jerry you hulp me."

"Um Ben, me not think you waring pants right, Bob sayz ware them like a cape."

"Well, I kind of got stuk" confesses Ben. "Me not sure that theze pants make good cape, we need bigger pantz!"  "I think you right" says Jerry, "letz go eat some crakurs and honey instead, we try pants cape later."

Ready for the Bizurd!

"The nuwz saez we gonna get beary big bizurd tonight!" says Ben.  Ben means a big blizzard. "Yah, that meenz lotz an lotz of snow" adds Jerry. In fact, the blizzard has already started, with high wind and heavy snow that has started to fall, but we're all snug and ready for it. We have hot chocolate for later, and Ben will help make some popcorn while Jerry helps pick out a fun movie to watch. What do you do when your area has a big snow or rain storm?

Birthday Gifts & Paddington Bear

Ben received some wonderful gifts for his birthday: a nice jar of honey from Jerry, a special "pants" gift from Sandy (we'll blog about that later), and from Papa the complete 1975 Paddington Bear series on DVD! In case our blog pals have never seen this beary good series, we found the very first episode on YouTube; the episodes are short and very fun!
