Ben

Ben is a very good student. He works hard on his school lessons, and always helps Jerry out with his spelling. Ben likes to dress up a little to go to school, but in the summer he wears jeans and a t-shirt. Cooking is one of Ben's favorite things to do. He helps to measure the ingredients, but is careful not to get his nice clothes dirty. He isn't able to touch any of the hot pans, however, because he might get his little paws burnt. For fun, Ben likes to draw and paint, and he spends many hours coloring with Jerry. He also helps Jerry out in the garden during the summer, but prefers to take care of his vegetables and herbs that he uses to cook nice things for he and Jerry to eat. Ben wishes that a bunch of bees would make a nest in one of the trees in the yard so that he and Jerry would have nice honey to eat when ever they wanted to. Do you have any bees in your yard? Ben also likes to travel, whether the journey is in the car or on a plane. He enjoys visiting new places with Jerry, taking beautiful photographs, and trying new food. It's so much fun to travel with a good pal. Do you like to visit places?

Jerry

Jerry likes to laugh and to play, and he enjoys drawing pictures. He's very funny and loves making people smile.  Jerry sings and dances, and is always in good spirits. If Ben is sad, Jerry makes him laugh and smile. Jerry also like cookies, so you have to watch him carefully, or he'll eat all the cookies in the cookie jar and then he'll have a tummy ache and that is not a good thing. Jerry also likes to garden, and he is really good with plants. Many people come to see Jerry's garden and marvel at how beautiful it is. Ben helps too, but Jerry is really in charge, so Ben just helps weed and water the plants. Although he's good at gardening, Jerry sometimes has troubles with his spelling; he's just having too much fun and laughing, so he doesn't have time to study the words. But that's ok, Ben helps him out and makes sure he gets his words spelled correctly. Another thing Jerry likes to do is wear fun outfits. He sometimes puts on a silly rabbit outfit, just to make people smile and laugh. He also has a smart gardening outfit that helps to keep his fur clean when he's working in the flower beds. Jerry sometimes wears a little travel bag in which he keeps an extra pair of gardening gloves, because you never know when you might need them. You might also discover a half-eaten cookie in there too; a little bear does get terribly hungry gardening, dancing and singing.

Olde London Town

We had a lot of fun last year when we got to travel to London, England. The flight was very smooth, and we discovered that there was no special visa needed for little bears. While in London, we visited Big Ben, the big tower that has the big clock with the big chimes. We also saw Westminster Abbey and the Royal Albert Hall, but we couldn't find anyone there named Albert, so we weren't so sure why it was called Albert Hall, do you know? A nice gentleman took our photo across the river from the Parliament buildings. It was really cold and rainy that day, but being bears with thick fur, we didn't mind at all. We also got to have fish and chips, and although we typically like salmon from Alaska better, we sure did like the fish in London too. London sure is a big city, but it was very fun to visit. We even got to have lunch with our cousin Paddington. He's from darkest Peru but he lives in London now. He is a swell bear and we had a lot of fun visiting him.

Easter

We got to spend Easter with our good friend Jake (he's on the right in the red baseball cap and letterman's jacket. He is a very nice little bear too, and he likes to play sports, goof around, and laugh. When we woke up on Easter morning, we found little baskets of chocolates and jelly beans that the Easter bunny had left us. We were really excited to run around and find all the colored eggs. We ate one each for breakfast and they were delicious. Unfortunately, the candy seemed to disappear quickly. Jake didn't eat very much candy, but he gave Jerry some serious stares; maybe he thinks that Jerry stole some of his candy? No one really knows, but there were a few extra candy wrappers inside of Jake's Easter basket.

Making Cookies

We really like to make cookies, although we sometimes get our paws a little messy with the cookie dough. Ben does the stirring and Jerry carefully adds the eggs and the chocolate chips. We'd like to find a good honey cookie recipe because we really like honey. Do you know of a good recipe?

Sometimes, we can't wait to try the finished cookies and we try to steal one or two from the cookie tin. Ben thinks Jerry steals more than he does.
