We're MAD about machine vision

This is the 2002 stockholders report for the Cognex Corporation.

Thanks to Michael Sullivan for a copy of this. Photobucket Photobucket Don Martinhadn't worked for the magazine for fifteen years when this report was released, but I guess he was closely associated with the magazine enough to be included. It would be also easier than having to explain his omission to stockholders who hadn't read an issue in years. Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket They weren't as “out of it” as they would seem to parody John Caldwell. Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket The rest of this report is a straightforward stock report and company roster until it gets to the inside back cover. Photobucket Photobucket While we're on the subject of Mad homages, here's the magazine-themed front page of my high-school yearbook in 1985. Photobucket Next Wednesday: The Norwegian edition of Mad.

MAD parody part 2

Here's the rest of the NATIONAL LAMPOON parody of MAD.

Since you can't fold your screen (I don't think), I did this.

GLAD

I thought I'd seen them all. CRACKED, CRAZY, SICK, WACKO, TRASH, GRIN, PANIC, APPLE PIE, etc. This one was new to me. When I was looking for copies of pages from GOOSE, and Michael Sullivan came through, He also sent me pages from GLAD, a Christian version of MAD. In his book 'Rapture Ready' (see getraptureready.com. Sorry HTML doesn't work when I try to link to it), author Daniel Radosh shows us "regular" people the alternate world of Christian popular culture. Obviously there was a market for this. Some of these pages come from the 16th issue, so it lasted longer than most humor magazines.

The Bible mentions TV? I guess it's more prescient than I thought.

And since it was so popular when I posted it earlier this week, here's another kind of offensive from GOOSE...
