Li'l Abner

I said I was posting Nancy today but I thought I'd push it back since I heard news that earlier this week was Al Capp's 100th birthday. This comic probably wasn't by him but it's the closest thing I have that to my knowledge hasn't been printed on another book or blog. Eventually I'll get all the Wildroot Cream Oil/Fearless Fosdick ads I have in various comics and magazines all in one place. Despite him becoming a sanctimonious right-wing crank later in life, the strips he did (or at least oversaw) were pretty good at their peak.

Jumpin' Jupiter

Here's another of the comics my father cut from magazines and didn't save the rest because the other pages weren't done by people who did work for EC. Up now is a story from WEIRD TALES OF THE FUTURE #2 in June 1952.
