Nails/NOTD: French Tips with NYX Girls - Sexy Plum and China Glaze - Ruby Pumps

I felt like playing around with my nails. I don't get the chance to paint them very often as I don't have much time, but I decided to neglect some other things (house chores!) to treat myself. I originally meant to just do a dark red coat then put the sparkly red on top all over. Part way through, I changed my mind and just did 3 coats of dark red and then bright red tips. I love how this turned out. I definitely will try it again with other colors.

Nails/NOTD: NYX - White + Sobe Botanicals - Purple Holo Glitter

This look was from Easter weekend. I normally would apply this type of glitter polish on top of black or a dark color, but I wanted to use the white that I haven't used in a very long time. I don't celebrate Easter, but I felt like my nails unintentionally turned out sort of looking like those weird malt ball/egg candies that come out around Easter. Do you see what I mean?

BTW, I really don't care for malt balls!

Normally I'm not a huge fan of blue polish, but I do like really dark blues and ink blues. This is a perfect shimmery dark blue for me.

I've never layered this many polishes before. I really like how this turned out. All the changing colours are so pretty! I took the photos about 4 days after I painted my nails. While there isn't any chipping, there are some tiny stress cracks at the outer edges of some nails.

Nails/NOTD: Ozotic - Mish Mash 534

Recently I split an order of Ozotic polishes with my sweet friend, Sam. I had a few tiny bottles to put my half of polish into and let Sam keep the original Ozotic bottles half full. Definitely helped our wallets by splitting the entire order in half. If we didn't do this, I more than likely would never purchase Ozotic polishes since they are so pricey.
Here's the first Ozotic I tried. LOVE this one so much!

Depending on the lighting, this combo can look like a sparkly orange/red, coppery red or shimmery metallic red. Very pretty! Too bad it wasn't easy to photograph.

Mmm...this is such a warm lovely red. I was expecting it to be more coppery, but I'm really liking how firey red it is. It's sort of a candy apple red too.

This polish seemed thin so I applied it over a black polish. I then swatched 2 layers of it on its own and realized it would have been totally fine on its own. Oh well...next time I'll wear it alone since the black base really made it too dark and looked navy blue instead of purple. :-/

Nails/NOTD: NYX Girls - Ink Heart

This polish is the first one by NYX Girls that I was a bit disappointed with. The colour is so awesome! Even my husband likes it. This reminds me of dark blue ink from a pen. It is darker than the pictures show too. The formula for this one was a little weird. It is not runny, but it sort of bled once I applied it, like a runny polish would do when you put WAY TOO much. I applied it neatly, in thin layers and it would still run, move or bleed. It looks like I needed to do 3 coats instead of two as it ended up being thinner in some spots. It was a pain to work with. I might try a black base and add this on top next time and see if that would work better.
