I can't remember where I got the vest, but it originally had plain black buttons, I removed them and sewed gear buttons in their place. 

Black fleece lined thigh highs (seriously, every girl needs a pair of these!): winter thigh highs.

Boots are Dr. Martens

NOTD: Steampunk Nails w/ Orly Cosmic FX Galaxy Girl + Gears, Cogs Nail Art

Tried something different with my nails. I have hundreds of tiny vintage watch parts that I use to make jewelry. I thought it would be cool to use some as nail decals. It looks so cool!

My husband asked me, "How are you going to pick your nose with those things on your nails?!".  Carefully...very carefully. :-)

I achieved this look with:
1 coat of Avon's NAIL EXPERTS Smooth Beginnings Base Coat 

3 coats of  Orly Cosmic FX - Galaxy Girl

dabbed clear polish where I wanted the gears, pressed the gears on. Let it dry then applied 2 thick top coats of Avon's NAIL EXPERTS UV Gloss Guard Top Coat

I will definitely use gears again!
