Soft Simple Makeup look with Sobe Botanicals and NYX

This was a look I wore on Monday.  I'm still helping my friend with her kiddos so my makeup has been much softer than what I normally do.

 

 So annoying. My natural lashes are very long, but they just won't curl up! Arg...

Eyes (all applied in this order):
Coastal Scents Shadow worx eye primer (applied to upper lid, blending in gently with ring finger)

Sobe stick it! eye primer (applied all around the eyes patting then rubbing in gently with ring finger) 

NYX - Black (applied to outer crease by patting with a Coastal Scents crease brush)

Sobe - Love Triangle (applied to outer lid and crease with MAC 217 by patting/sweeping)

Sobe - Protagonist (applied to inner half of lid and crease with MAC 217 by patting/sweeping) 

NYX - Highlight (applied under brow with MAC 217 by patting/sweeping) 

NYX - Black (applied to upper lash line with MAC 266)  

Avon Super Shock Mascara - black (upper lashes)

Eyebrows: Sobe Fill Me In Brow Filler - a mixture of Brunette and Raven (applied with MAC 266)

Lips: Some sort of lipgloss...I don't remember...

Face: Skin MD Shielding lotion

Avon Ideal Flawless Invisible Coverage Foundation SPF 15 - Light Ivory (applied with a synthetic foundation brush)

Physicians Formula Healthy Wear Powder SPF 50 - Translucent Light (applied all over face/neck with a large powder brush) 

  Physicians Formula Healthy Wear Powder SPF 50 - Bronzer (applied to cheek bones and blending back toward the hair line)

Simple Makeup Look

Today I did a simple look. I didn't have time to do anything else before heading out to see a friend for lunch. Food was good, company was awesome and it felt great to get out of the house.

Eyes (all applied in this order):
Coastal Scents Shadow worx eye primer (applied to upper lid, blending in gently with ring finger)

Physicians Formula Healthy Wear SPF 50 Powder - Translucent Light (patted lightly all over lid)
Ardell Brow Powder - black (applied to lash line and outer lower lash line with MAC 266 then softened with a blendingbrush)

Avon Super Shock Mascara - black

Eyebrows: Sobe Fill Me In Brow Filler - a mixture of Brunette and Raven (applied with MAC 266)

Lips: Avon Beyond Color Plumping Lip color spf 15 - Sienna

Face: Skin MD Shielding lotion

Physicians Formula Healthy Wear SPF 50 Powder - Translucent Light (applied all over face and neck with a flocked sponge)

Sobe Foundation - Light Warm (applied with a large powder brush) 

mark. bronzer (applied to cheek bones and blending back toward the hair line)

This is what I wore to run errands yesterday. I wore cute buns in my hair which I don't do often enough. :-)

Black dress was an eBay purchase...it's a little too small for me dang it!

Striped tights were also an eBay purchase. Like I said before, I love stripes but I really prefer vertical stripes over horizontal stripes.

My Valentine's Day Makeup Look and Outfit

So I must be honest in saying I don't really care for VD. To me it's just another day, but it's nice to use it as a reason to celebrate your relationships with the people you love. We never go all out for it.
My husband says it's a "chick Holiday" meant for dudes to buy stuff for their gals and treat them a little more than usual. I guess. *shrugs*

So my husband took me out to an Indian place (again, hee hee!), which had bellydancers for entertainment. I didn't know they would have any so it was a nice little surprise. Too bad I didn't take my camera, I'd be able to show you!

Here's what I wore:

 I LOVE this dress, but I hate that it's too tight on my arms. Dang muscles!

 Athan tried to walk by me and I couldn't resist scooping him up to pose with me.

 "Jeez, Mom! You're embarrassing me!"  My cats are my furry children. :-D

 This was my makeup look EVERY day in high school. Black winged liner and dark red or plum lipstick was my signature.

LOVE this flower. :-)

And...in case you didn't notice, I'm wearing nail polish! I just started wearing it recently after about 8 years of not wearing it.

It's a base coat, 2 coats of Avon Golden Wine and a top coat. Love red polish!

Simple Pink Glitter Liner makeup look with Collection 2000

This look was from Friday. I went to lunch with Elizabeth from http://prettybottles.blogspot.com/. I did a simple look as I didn't have time to do much. We had a great time eating nummy sushi and hanging out. She's such a sweet gal and I'm glad I met her. :-)
Oh ya, I made the necklace.
This glitter liner has small and big glitter pieces in it so it doesn't go on as smooth as my liner normally looks. But it's still pretty!

Since I had a bad headache yesterday and didn't get much work done, I'm trying to make up for it today. So I did a very simple look right before running some errands. But first! Here's me without makeup! Mwahahahaaa!
My skin has cleared up fairly well so I figured I'd take advantage of it. :-D

My Stuff - some sort of shimmery pink I made a long time ago (dusted on cheeks, nose, chin, forehead and temples with a small blush brush)

 This is what my eyebrows look like naturally...dun dun dun! This was taken 4-5 years ago. But now I trim them very short to keep them in check and I fill them in with soft black Ardell powder, keeping my brows natural shape tho.

I know I'm behind on replying to comments. I will try to get on that soon. Now I must get back to work! Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

We went to see the movie Avatar in 3D IMAX yesterday. Was an awesome movie! I definitely want to see it again! This is the look I wore to see it. Nothing dramatic. But it's a good "simple" look for during the day when I don't feel like applying eyeshadow...or don't have time to. Which I didn't have time at all. Was a very busy day. We only got 4 hours of sleep since we didn't get home from our NYE party until 4:30 am and we had to get up early to go see the movie.  I feel like I look really young in these. But maybe it's because I'm tired.

Super Simple Glitter Look

I didn't have time to do much today so I just did face powder on top of my sunscreen, eyeko mascara in black, Avon Luxery eyeliner in eggplant (waterline) and NYX candy glitter liner in Jade. Umm...the label on my lipgloss is rubbed off so I have no idea what it is! Oops!

 

Just got back from skating for the first time in YEARS...I look really tired...sorry!
